2020 Bears are the most mediocre team in NFL history, arguably. 7-2 vs >500, 1-6 vs 500< teams, +2 PD, opponents 127-129 record. Average across every metric.
I genuinely need a description of how the C-score is calculated. Im so fascinated by this, and would have a field day going through all of NFL history calculating all the teams!
I'm eventually gonna have a video of every franchise's average C-Score since 1966 (or when the franchise was born). Hopefully within the next month or so.
The Ryan Tannehill Dolphins were extremely average for 5 years. They were a perenial 8-8, and 2 lucky bounces makes 10-6, 2 unlucky bounces made them 6-10. I would rather have been really good or really bad, but that purgatory of being average was rough.
That was when Brady ran the division though, so the Dolphins, Jets & especially the Bills were starting each season essentially 0-2 to begin with lol Any of those 8-8 teams could've been 10-6 had they not been in the same division as the Patriots.
@corey2232 yes, although the Dolphins occasionally could beat the patriots. But having the Patriots in the division definitely made it tough to have a great year.
Surprised the 2001 Denver Broncos weren't on the list. 8-8 record, +1 point differential, +43 yardage differential. Dead even in wins/losses, very close to dead even in point and yardage differential.
2006 Rams: -8.625. Second easiest schedule in the league, 6 one-possession wins. 2009 Panthers: 7.567. Almost the exact opposite, third hardest schedule, 6 multiple-possession wins.
They did a video for a ranking of all 58 Super Bowl winners. From that, you can see the C-scores for each team. If what you mean is a ranking of Super Bowl teams closest to average quality, it's just the bottom of that list. Bear in mind that the #58 ranked 2011 New York Giants have a C-score of +9.227. If what you mean is a ranking of the most average Super Bowl winners within the set of Super Bowl winners, that's just going to be a matter of averaging 58 C-Scores and determining which Super Bowl winners rank highest as having a C-Score closest to that number.
I guess just like with lowest recorded temperature (Kelvin Scale), it's impossible to achieve a score of precisely absolute zero with extended decimal places. If it were up to me regarding teams such as the 2010 Bucs and 2014 Eagles who won 10 games and were denied a playoff spot due to a losing team making the playoffs by finishing first in a weak division I would disqualify the undeserving division winner from the playoffs, reward a more deserving wild card team, and compensate the undeserving division champion with a monetary reward and compensatory draft picks. If a losing team went on to win the Super Bowl it would create more outrage than an American football tie game.
This formula is kinda missing stuff, like it works for you but yeah if u look at the stats...for example the 2022 Jets were I guess better than the 2023 Jets. There offense was even worse but overall the team felt better besides the injuries they had. Like a 14 C score difference is crazy. They won the same amount of games with just 18 TDs (11 passing TDs). The 2023 Jets felt and looked better, they just has huge QB and offensive line issues (some caused by injury).

Jason Garrett masterclassed the most average team ever. Impressive, in all honesty.
Jason Garrett dragged up many bad teams to average... but Jason Garrett also dragged down so many good teams to average.
👏
The whole Jason Garrett era was the epitome of average
Wake up honey, CCC just uploaded
Could you publish a spreadsheet of all the C-Scores?
Surprised there weren't any Jeff Fisher coached teams here

Have you done a video on the most average season in NFL history? Not just a single team, but every team

@@cccproductions2019 Can’t wait for that. Thank you, brother
Ha! I knew my Cowboys had a shot at the record with Jason Garrett coaching 4 different 8-8 seasons (2011-13 and 2019) during his tenure.
👏
Thanks for indulging this curiosity, so much time on truly great and truly terrible teams featured on this channel, nice to see some different teams

Strength of schedule hurt em a little. I had forgotten about that team though, good call on em.
“NFL neutrality Switzerland style” lmao
For this, and the other lists, is SOV worth including?
honestly im curious about the 84 bengals who went 8-8 and had a PD of 0
Average across the board in everything, except strength of schedule which was 5th easiest in the league. Great call on that team though!
@@cccproductions2019 what was the c score
@@oofusthenooba c score of shut up
@oofusthenoob -2.826
Basically the same 81-81 1983 padres with a 0 PD.
Had a feeling at least one of the recent Spaghettiball Steelers teams would show up here
What's the 2006 rams and 2009 panthers c scores?
2006 Rams: -8.625. Second easiest schedule in the league, 6 one-possession wins.
2009 Panthers: 7.567. Almost the exact opposite, third hardest schedule, 6 multiple-possession wins.
This is why I chose to subscribe to this channel. That said, is it possible to do the same premise but with SB champions?
He already made that video.

How do you calculate a c score

-0.00005411 score is ridiculously average
Having to go to the hundred-thousandths place is nuts. Might as well just be 0.

Highest C-score teams with no pro bowlers of the Super Bowl era or vice versa, lowest c-score teams with the most pro bowlers
That sounds like a monster... I'm game. It's on the list.
The latter one I would put my money on the Kansas City Chiefs in 2012, a team that sent six players to the Pro Bowl but STILL went 2-14.
Seahawks 1985?
1984 bengals
Thank you sir
