I think Darnold’s poise in Seattle on the game winning drive was MVP caliber. KOC’s headset went out and Sam calmly called a QB run play to the sidelines by KOC for 9 yards, then got the play call from Kevin on the sidelines before he ran back to the huddle. Then throws the dagger to Jefferson stepping up in the pocket, knowing he’s going to get blasted by two defenders.
I don't know when these two guys will ever start believing in the bills. And and the Detroit Lions. I bet you they're still going to be skeptical even after one of those two teams is hosting the Lombardi trophy
Here’s a prediction. A 14 win team from the NFC North is going to go on the road in the wild card round and there are going to be talks this offseason to have divisions only guarantee a playoff spot, not a home playoff game.
As a vikings fan, im glad they are finally getting some media steam. And also, even the packers, who did beat Seattle handily the week prior. They are going to be a tough out too. Playoffs are gonna be nuts in teh NFC
17:10 in a three way tie scenario where Denver, colts and either Miami or bengals finish 9-8, colts get the 7 seed because conference record is the initial tiebreak. Then, Miami and Indy’s 7-5 conference record gets tie broken because Indy beat Miami head to head. Very interesting scenario but they have a chance
Goff is the best QB this year, at least statistically. He's 2nd in yards (behind Burrow), 2nd in Completion % (behind Tua), 2nd in QB Rating (behind Lamar), and is 3rd of 4th in passing TDs. No other QB is at the top of all those categories. Josh Allen is not even near the top in any of them. PLUS, the Lions are currently top in the NFC. Idk how he is not a front-runner.
I'm definitely resigned to the Chiefs being in the super bowl again. The league is doing everything they can to rig the 3-peat, and on top of that Kansas City has summoned the most powerful devil magic I've ever seen. It's honestly embarrassing just how many breaks the Chiefs have gotten this year and how many calls, mistakes, and bounces just happen to go their way
As a Vikings fan who really had hopes they could move up and draft Drake Maye, I am very happy to see him playing so well... So much for "Drake Maye will get people fired" If anyone should be fired it's Merril Hoge for such a crappy take......
He also dropped an easy critical pass in a previous game that is forever stuck in my mind. I think Kupp was more valuable in his superbowl win season but he wasn't even close to getting the same MVP consideration. Brother did everything perfect
If the Seahawks win against the bears, and the Rams win against the cardinals, and then the Seahawks beat the Rams in week 18, we will go 5 levels deep into playoff tie breakers. Both will have 10-7 records Both will be 1-1 head to head Both will be 4-2 in division Both will be 4-4 in common games (common games exclude H2H and division matchups) Both will be 6-6 in Conference (includes H2H and division matchups) Then it will come down to strength of victory, which won’t be fully played out until the end of week 18. The last time this happened was 2006 with the packers and giants. The new playoff tiebreakers were installed in 2002.
Finally some Vikes love....if we can beat Seattle (done), Green Bay and Detroit in the final 3 games to steal the #1 seed in the NFC...How can you not believe in the Vikes! SKOL!
Idk see how Lamar is not the clear front runner for MVP. He is either first or top 5 in all passing categories, and obliterates all other QBs in rushing categories besides rushing TDs.
The Texans didn’t play well enough but let’s not forget that this time the refs openly gave it to the Chiefs. That fumble return TD on a non existent penalty, and other penalties where even the commentators were flabbergasted, it was shameful ..
15:00 please stop rich… Philly special was the greatest play fake. It was cool but the lions are starting to turn into the chiefs with the “look at me” kind of plays… constantly making decker report as eligible, giving the ball to lineman (I forget how to spell his name)… onside kick with almost a whole quarter left…
Josh award have any substace when its such a media push to just give it to him despite so many others playing better ALL yr not just a 3 game stretch? o_0
At this point, you change your "best team in the NFL" every week based on the results last week -- The Lions were the best and then they lost to a really good team, and so they weren't; The Eagles were the best until the lost to the Commanders and then they weren't; The Vikings are now after almost losing to a .500 team? If they lose to the Packers - then who is the new #1 - whoever had the best style points this week? Their game was better than the Lions? Don't forget who beat those Vikings. It's an overreaction because they have yet to beat the team in Detroit. The Lions lost to a very good AFC team, and even in that loss they showed they are still best in NFC, and over the course of the season, best in NFL. I can support that without even needing to pretend to fumble the ball!
@@kpwillsonLamar won it last year because of strength of schedule. Allen doesn't have that argument this year. Outside of the chiefs and lions, he's mostly beat up on bad teams. The Chiefs and Lions games are just overtaking people's recency bias. The Ravens have played literally more than half of their games (8 of 15) so far against teams currently holding playoff spots, and they lead in the NFL in point differential against those teams. Oh and one of those teams was the bills who got slaughtered.
College people overcomplicate things. Reduce regular season to be conference only games + 2 non conference so Notre Dame can get their games in. Shorten the season. Have conference championships and then do a 32 team playoff. Settle it on the field, not on paper.
Has anyone else noticed how the vast majority of Media are proactively making positive arguments for ALL of the potential MVP candidates EXCEPT Lamar? When the topic comes up, they either say- “It’s Allen” outright or (as they are doing here) start making arguments for everyone OTHER than Lamar? I am yet to hear a major media person actually make a definitive argument (of which there is one) for Lamar to win again.
It could be that the addition of Henry has taken some pressure off of Lamar and his stats are not as impressive as last season when he won. Allen has lost talent in Diggs and is still putting up numbers. I don't think Allen is the frontrunner I think Barkley has had a great season and has had a huge impact on the Eagles.
@ Three things about the addition of Henry argument (while I agree has helped)- 1) That argument goes both ways. Henry is rushing for more than 1yd per carry above any single year prior to coming to Baltimore. 2) While he may not have done as well passing, Lamar has performed at an MVP level multiple years PRIOR to Henry getting there. 3) The entire line of argumentation is revisionist history because- before the season the media said Henry would not move the needle for the Ravens because of his age and the fact that the Ravens lead the league in rushing every year and it has not helped them get to a title. It is only now that they are changing it. Lastly, let’s not forget- (1) The Ravens lost their D-Coordinator, (2) multiple starters from their defense, including their leader in INTs (Stone), Leader in sacks (Cowney) and 2nd tackler (Queen) and (3) They have 3 new starters on the Offensive line.
I don’t care if Josh gets the MVP this year. But the whole MVP conversation is completely exposing people for the frauds they are. The same people calling for Lamar this year, are the same last year. Which is beyond hypocritical. His numbers were some of the worst ever by an MVP last year, yet he got to win it anyways. Doesn’t matter there were at least 5 QBs who were statistically well past him, in every category there is, except maybe rushing yards. But now because for the FIRST time in his career he has the kind of passing numbers other QBs put up every year he’s supposed to be handed the MVP again. So why’d he get it last year. No the reality is the Lamar Stan’s want the rules changed every year to be whatever it takes for Lamar to get the MVP. Last year it was that he was the best player on, the best team. Now it’s a completely different set of rules for who gets the MVP. Which is why ultimately the MVP is a useless, meaningless award. The criteria changes every year to make it Lamar Jackson, Patrick Mahomes, or Aaron Rodgers years ago.
Id like to see it be 24 teams like FCS. Sure you get blowouts but it involves the entire sport and you give 8 best teams bye weeks. FCS playoffs are so lit, not sure why FBS is scared of it.
Josh Allen way more impressive with less weapons than Goff. If Goff is in the running, then so is Darnold bc they have the same amount of tds and interceptions. And Goff has a run game that he leans on, making his job way easier
The 12 team playoff has been perfect so far. We've seen clunkers on a 4 team. We've seen clunkers when there wasn't a playoff and there was just bowls. To say that a couple clunkers this year means we shouldn't have done it is MASSIVELY SILLY. Also, wouldn't then you have to admit that if all the lower seeds had won that MORE THAN 12 should be happening? And that argument would be even more silly.
Maybe just put the right teams in the cfb playoffs......South Carolina should've been there ...colorado should've been there ....stop putting teams in there just bc the sports writers like them bc they went to the schools.....college football is lame bc it's corrupt
What's funny is they say nothing that an ordinary fan already knows.. But people listen to this it's the same on every NFL, podcast every NFL show it's all the same just different people talking
The only thing I dislike about the Lions becoming very good is all the bangwagon fans that don't know anything about football talking smack about the vikings.. there is so much disrespect from them.. I've seen forums where they're saying Greenbay is gonna easily beat them, and they're more afraid of the 49ers than the vikes.. as if they absolutely destroyed the vikes in that first game, when they won by a last second field goal.
The NFL is desperate for a Taylor Swift Super Bowl. Last year's Super Bowl was the most viewed Sports show in history and that includes the finals of the World Cup in soccer. They weren't prepared for it last year with the rates. They are this year and it will mean hundreds of millions of dollars for the NFL to have Taylor Swift at that Super Bowl. And we all know that this is Kelsey's last year. The NFL is going to do whatever they can to make sure Kansas City makes it and right now we're seeing some terrible calls going against other teams. Chris should’ve quit while he was ahead. He had gotten me to the point where I didn’t hate him and now I’m at the midpoint. They may not win the Super Bowl, but right now they are number one in the league. The Patriots lost because they were stupid. That was their game to lose.
Vikings are not the best team in the NFL, Lions are the best team, destroyed defense because of the injuries and they are still 13-2 and only have lost by a combined 10 points, one includes a 42-48 loss to the MVP favorite with a bunch of practice squad and FA players on defense.
The Josh Allen propaganda is real. Lamar beats division rival/leader with 3 TD. Josh craps the bed. Suddenly…gasp…Josh has been playing with a broken hand…on his non throwing hand…and didn’t disclose on injury report… 🙄
Jared Goff is too boringly good to ever win MVP in today's world regardless of what he does. I don't think you'll ever see a true pocket passer win MVP again
I still think Mahomes should be the MVP. Of course his stats aren’t it but with a defense that’s less than last years, losing his #1 target early, not having his #1 RB for most of the RS and still not being his old self, losing Hollywood as well and still only losing one game is effin remarkable.

Patrick Mahomes finally broke Brockman! 😂😂
He's been off his rocker about Chiefs/Mahomes for several weeks now. The closer KC gets to 3-peat the more absurd his brain breaks.
Same Vikings team all year, but Rich had them at #7 most of the year in his power ranking. Little late to the party . . .
A positive Lions overreaction? Is the world ending?
Chris saying Chiefs will win the AFC? Is this the right channel?
He bumped his head on the flight. 😂

How about the Bengals offer up Jake Browning + a pick for Miles Garrett??? 🤔
Who is Jake browning? Not happening.
They’d never trade him within the division
Tee for Miles straight up.
If the bengals somehow make the playoffs on burrows back he should be in the top 3 of mvp
It’s his turnovers(12 I think) that have cost them some of these games, the strip sacks, 7 2nd half picks.
