The oddsmakers had a serious anti-AFL bias. The phins in the yards and points categories led on both sides of the ball. Another thing about this team's two season dynasty is that one can say this ended the AFL-NFL rivalry at four games each [NYJ, KC, Mia-1, Mia-2, GB 1, GB2, Bal, Dal]. Miami was a plug and play team for Don Shula and the Steelers were mostly built going forward from 1970 [Joe Green, LC Greenwood, Jon Kolb and Andy Russell being big exceptions. The Steelers can be credited with drafting Jim Kelly, except this one was the wrong one being the wrong one.
I wasn't aware of a football team named "Dan Marino." I must not know football anywhere near as well as I thought I did. In all seriousness though, I'm a 49er fan, have been since 1983. I woulda loved if either the 84 or 89 team came in first. The numbers spit out the Bears though.
Which one of those NFL teams that you got ranked above? The 1972 Dolphins would have had the same record if they would've lost a starting quarterback for most of the season.
This was a cool video. I think by the metrics the Chiefs of 3023 has the hardest run to get to the Super Bowl. I am not sure where they factored in. Loved the video. Subbed.
Hard to say, because their C-score would have increased had they made the Super Bowl and won it. Their final score was very good at 24.155 which woulda had em right behind the 2005 Steelers at 42nd, but not as good as it woulda been otherwise.
Interestingly enough, the top team - '85 Bears - was the second, and final, 15+ win team to win it all. Four- FOUR- 15-1 teams would come after them, only one of whom would make the Super Bowl at all (the '15 Panthers). The other in this count is the '07 Pats, and yeah. Speaking of upsets, the '10 Pats may have topped everyone on the list as Super Bowl winners had they NOT DROPPED TO THE JETS IN THE DIVISIONAL in a game only close by the final score, at a field where they had defeated them 45-3 weeks prior. It's worse of an upset than the one a year later when the '11 Giants pulled off a divisional shock against the 15-1 Packers.
Gosh, this guy sure has himself some Pats envy. When their defense is best in the league, they're "...quite good...". When they hold a juggernaut offense to 3 points, "...meh...", When KC do just enough to win, "...well, it's not a fluke if you can keep doing it.........except if it happens to be the %&*@ Patriots !!!! ".
Denver had no solution for Randy White and Harvey Martin. Dallas drafted White with the pick that came from the Giants for Craig Morton, who deserved more than being a 2X SB losing QB. The irony wld be bitting if it weren't head aching and soul crushing.
Agreed ,still only franchise to repeat twice as SB champions 74,75,78,79 ,44 yrs later and still hasn't been equaled or surpassed . 4 SB championships in 6 yrs , was another record during SB era , 49ers legendary Hof ,championship head coach Bill Walsh stated ,the 70's SB winning steelers teams had the greatest collection of talent in NFL history .
Not always. Those early 2000’s Patriots squads went through some STIFF competition to win their rings. And I don’t like them. But you can’t knock those early 2000’s teams.
Lol yeah but a big reason for that is the division they played in. Granted due to them usually being the best team they usually faced the heavy hitters in the AFC (Ravens, Colts, Steelers, Broncos, Chiefs) so it kinda balances out when you think about it.
Actually. if you take a closer look at their division those years, it wasn't that easy of a schedule. It only looked that way because they were the dominant team during that era. Tom Brady only lost the division once, in 2002, and that was because of a tie breaker. Their only other loss was 2008 when Matt Cassell was qb while Brady was out because of injury. That too was by tie breaker.
Some great title teams do need to be seperated cause if they played the weaker ones one would 100% win like anyone who thinks the 1989 49ers and 2011 giants are similar clearly don't know the game...
The 2011 giants would smack around the 1968 jets...sorry...but they destroyed the packers defense and their d killed the falcons and kept brady to 17....
That his teams were among the worst Super Bowl winning sides, which only goes to show how important he was to their teams? I don’t think that’s the argument you want to make.
You have five teams from the 1984-96 Super Bowl Myth era over any of the 70's Steelers? The Steelers were loaded with HOFers, and these teams that won in the 84-96 era are vastly overrated. They are good teams that beat average to below-average AFC trash. Elway could go back in time with the team that he led to two SB's, and the 97 and 98 Broncos would beat the teams that beat them in the 80's (when Elway was the whole team). I do agree, though, with the bottom of the list. The 11 Giants ARE the worst SB champ ever. They were a Romo missed connection to Miles Austin (in Week 14) away from probably not even making the playoffs. I also agree with the 80 Raiders (who were ultra-lucky in the playoffs) and 01 Pats being in the bottom-10 (the 03 Pats should be in the bottom ten as well. They weren't much better, and they were even luckier).
He bases a lot of this on point differential which is unfair to the 70's teams as points were harder to come by in that era. Also one other flaw is that he does not seem to respect clutch play. Winning close games is also an important quality for any team just as scoring a lot of points and not giving up many is.
@@bryanjones4444 Point differential consideration would only be unfair if play of teams across multiple seasons factored into the C-score of a team from a given season. I don't think that's the case. "Clutch wins" is I think overrated, insofar as there's any suggestion that decisive wins aren't more desired by teams, and aren't more indicative of higher quality of teams. I think Steve Young was once asked why he didn't have a high number of clutch wins or "come from behind" wins when he quarterbacked for the 49ers, and his response was that it was because they were usually winning by blowout.
These "c score" rankings are hilarious. The fact that the 1996 Packers are above ALL of the 90s Cowboys is a joke, considering the 1996 Cowboys (a FAR weaker version of their glory days) beat them that season.
So just to be clear, you think that the 96 packers shouldn't be higher than the 90's cowboys despite a harder schedule and better point differential because they lost to a different worse cowboys team? That's the textbook definition of cherry picking, and also illogical because it implies the '96 cowboys or any football team for that matter are strictly "better" than any team they happen to beat on any given Sunday.
@user-dg9qf7me8y There's nothing illogical about it, bud. 1996 was a down year for Dallas, & they beat the Packers. 1992 was PEAK Dallas, & they're only #11. It's not that hard to figure out.
@@slimypickle19 Notice how you didn’t address any of my arguments? Yeah, you’re welcome to try that again if you want to have a conversation. Otherwise don’t bother.
@user-dg9qf7me8y What arguements? Pt differential & strength of schedule as olit pertains from 1996 to 1992 are 4 years apart, theres no common variable. And the only "opinion" i stated thay wasnt factual was the fact that i believe the 92 Cowboys were a far superior team than the 96 Cowboys. So by that logic, if 96 Dallas was able to beat the mighty 96 Packers being held to only field goals, then in what world do the 96 packers beat the 92 Cowboys? You have a lot to learn before you start acting tough on the internet.
@@deirdre108 Even moreso if the ball starts to die down only to do the triple doink and still flips in for the game winning field goal. Even UT can't script this one better than that. Had the site of the next SB not be the super dome, the sudden gust of wind would push the ball further.
@kyledabearsfan the 85 bears had a decent at best offense. Jim mcmahon played well, but compare him to brett favre? Yeah no. #1 in both offense and defense means you are an unstoppable machine
The 85 bears are not better than the 84 49ers....we saw that in playoffs...how are the 89 and 84 49ers not top 3 to 4 each lol...and how are the packers top 3 and the first packers super bowl team so high...come on with the 91 redskins...look at the qb....terrible
Would put the '81 and '88 49er teams against any of the next 20 higher ranked teams. Especially any NE or Pittsburg team jokingly ranked above them. Games aren't won on paper and one thing you aren't taking into consideration, Joe Montana didn't loose Super Bowls and neither did Bill Walsh.
Most overrated Team EVER!! Here are the stats. Lets go over the utter weakness of the schedule. At 8-6 Chiefs Vs 1-13 Oilers At 7-7 Vikings At 7-7 Jets Vs 4-9-1 Chargers Vs 4-9-1 Bills At 5-8 Colts At 4-9-1 Bills Vs 3-11 Patriots Vs 7-7 Jets Vs 4-9-1 Cardials At 3-11 Patriots At 8-6 Giants Vs 5-8 Colts NONE of these team made the playoffs, NOT ONE!!! 2 Winning Teams, NO team with 9 wins. Excluding the Dolphins, 6 other teams won 10 games or more. They played 8 games vs the worst 5 AFC teams. Now lets look at their playoff run, who they beat and how bad they beat them Vs 10-4 Browns - 20-14 Vs 11-3 Steelers - 21-17 Vs 11-3 Redskins - 14-7 If the other team gets 1 TD, the Dolphins record is 0-2-1 Now lets compare this playoff run to the 1983 Raiders run in the playoffs. Vs 10-6 Steelers - 38-10 Vs 9-7 Seahawks - 30-14 Vs 14-2 Redskins - 38-9
@@WillMuny The AFC was incredibly weak those first 3 years after the merger. AFL teams as a whole were on a totally different level than the NFL teams.
Can you do varisty sliders
The 1984 49ers are #1, they lost one game by only 3 points and they beat Dan Marino. The 1985 Bears lost one game too and they lost it to Dan Marino.
Er...Phil Simms was the Super Bowl MVP for Super Bowl 21...not Lawrence Taylor.
He said Lawrence Taylor was the last Defensive (REGULAR SEASON) MVP
As a REDSKINS Fan, I knew that 91 team was gonna be so close to the top. That was one classy, professional butt kicking football team.
Who wouldn’t guess that the 2011 New York Giants would be the worst Super Bowl winner of all time?
Johnny Unitas was not benched in Super Bowl V he was injured
No one should be surprised by the legion of boom...looking back that was a great defense
How hard can your schedule be when you litterally won the superbowl?
Difficulty of opponents on a team's regular season schedule is independent of the quality of the team playing that schedule.
This was a cool video. I think by the metrics the Chiefs of 3023 has the hardest run to get to the Super Bowl. I am not sure where they factored in. Loved the video. Subbed.
Where would the 2018 Saints rank on this list?
Ineligible. The 2018 Saints didn't win the Super Bowl.
@@rtchidc If it wasn’t for the refs they would’ve. That’s why I want to know dummy
Hard to say, because their C-score would have increased had they made the Super Bowl and won it. Their final score was very good at 24.155 which woulda had em right behind the 2005 Steelers at 42nd, but not as good as it woulda been otherwise.
@@cccproductions2019 How much of an increase to C-Score is winning the Super Bowl
Superbowl 48 Happiest Day of my life
Superbowl 49 Saddest Day of my life
Gosh, this guy sure has himself some Pats envy. When their defense is best in the league, they're "...quite good...". When they hold a juggernaut offense to 3 points, "...meh...", When KC do just enough to win, "...well, it's not a fluke if you can keep doing it.........except if it happens to be the %&*@ Patriots !!!! ".
I've seen 15 out of the first 58 Superbowls
Starting With Superbowl 43
S.o.s doesnt matter for some teams then?
Denver had no solution for Randy White and Harvey Martin. Dallas drafted White with the pick that came from the Giants for Craig Morton, who deserved more than being a 2X SB losing QB. The irony wld be bitting if it weren't head aching and soul crushing.
Steelers teams of the '70s 11. Hall of famers. I don't think there was any better and I'm not a Steeler fan
I think the 2010 Packers should be higher. There’s something to be said about never trailing by more than 7 points in any regular or postseason game
I'm a Broncos fan good thing I wasn't alive in the 80s and early 90s
The Patriots always with an Weak Ass schedule
Not always. Those early 2000’s Patriots squads went through some STIFF competition to win their rings. And I don’t like them. But you can’t knock those early 2000’s teams.
Cry
@@tromboneman4517facts besides that weak ass division which is only 6 games they still had to play a loaded afc every year in the playoffs
Tom Brady has more rings than any franchise. He also lost to the two worst Super Bowl champs of all time. The duality of the GOAT...
Nick Collins picked off that pass in Super Bowl XLV not Nick Barnett
Nick Collins, not Nick Barnett
As a Raider fan for 50 ÷ years, I'm disappointed to see you ranked the '83 champions lower than the '76, ( who i do feel were overrated) champions
If you rank the Super Bowl losers, would the #1 be the Colts who lost to the Jets, or one of the greatest shows on turf Rams?
Stay tuned. This list is forthcoming...
2007 Patriots.
07 Patriots
Definitely the 07' Patriots
So many times the SB winner is ranked #1 for points allowed. When in doubt, defense wins championships.
2011 pats win are they number 58? No. So the Giants shouldn't be either, there are def worse sb teams than the '11 g men
Some great title teams do need to be seperated cause if they played the weaker ones one would 100% win like anyone who thinks the 1989 49ers and 2011 giants are similar clearly don't know the game...
How can you not talk the 2020 bucs but blabber about a season that only had 9 games smh
I like ur videos, but you've got to really double check facts and dates. You said the 2017 giants beat the patriots. Quality control
Larry Allen was the MVP of Super Bowl 30
Larry Brown
Giants won 2nd title in 5 seasons not 4 in 2012...2007 and 2012 are 5 years apart...
No, it was in 2007 and 2011 or The play-offs was in 2008 and 2012
The 2011 giants would smack around the 1968 jets...sorry...but they destroyed the packers defense and their d killed the falcons and kept brady to 17....
The bottom 20 features 4 of Bradys 7 rings. Tells you all you need to know....
And two of his losses.
Braindead
That his teams were among the worst Super Bowl winning sides, which only goes to show how important he was to their teams? I don’t think that’s the argument you want to make.
@jackdaniel2457 lol that's not true at all. It just further proves how the NFL fixed games that he won
&THEREDHOTWRECK the NFL doesn’t fix shit. Not to gatekeep but please stop watching football if you haven’t already
The 92 cowboys lost to the rams. How can they be number 11. And they didn't have home field advantage.
The chiefs had the toughest playoff stretch maybe ever the past 2 years combined...what are you talking about
No the recency bias is insane
@@monkeyfather27agreed recency bias is crazy.
If I had to say, it was the 2007 Giants. Beating the the Cowboys, Packers, and the 18-0 Patriots is insane work.
These "c score" rankings are hilarious. The fact that the 1996 Packers are above ALL of the 90s Cowboys is a joke, considering the 1996 Cowboys (a FAR weaker version of their glory days) beat them that season.
All on field goals no less. And did the same thing against the Runner up Patriots.
I am not even a fan of the modern game but average teams now a days like the lions would smoke the 1968 jets or 1967 packers or 1970 colts
The lions aren't an average team now
The Lions are going to the superbowl bro, and I’m a Seahawks fan.

Wow dude I was already thinking ur delusional and then you said even more delusional stuff.
Do you understand that this list was based on stats? Not on who you feel is a better team.
When did the 1985 Bears play the 1984 49ers in the playoffs? Was it recorded? Was time travel involved?
Would put the '81 and '88 49er teams against any of the next 20 higher ranked teams. Especially any NE or Pittsburg team jokingly ranked above them.
Games aren't won on paper and one thing you aren't taking into consideration, Joe Montana didn't loose Super Bowls and neither did Bill Walsh.
Didn't "loose" Super Bowls?
They were 4-0 in Super Bowls but they had the league's best team 2 or 3 other times without making it to the Super Bowl.
The Panthers are the worst team of the 2020s

66 Packers lost both games in the regular season by a COMBINED 4 points.
Fuck the statistics, 2002 Bucs were the best Super Bowl team of all time
72 Dolphins are number one.
Most overrated Team EVER!! Here are the stats.
Lets go over the utter weakness of the schedule.
At 8-6 Chiefs
Vs 1-13 Oilers
At 7-7 Vikings
At 7-7 Jets
Vs 4-9-1 Chargers
Vs 4-9-1 Bills
At 5-8 Colts
At 4-9-1 Bills
Vs 3-11 Patriots
Vs 7-7 Jets
Vs 4-9-1 Cardials
At 3-11 Patriots
At 8-6 Giants
Vs 5-8 Colts
NONE of these team made the playoffs, NOT ONE!!!
2 Winning Teams, NO team with 9 wins. Excluding the Dolphins, 6 other teams won 10 games or more.
They played 8 games vs the worst 5 AFC teams.
Now lets look at their playoff run, who they beat and how bad they beat them
Vs 10-4 Browns - 20-14
Vs 11-3 Steelers - 21-17
Vs 11-3 Redskins - 14-7
If the other team gets 1 TD, the Dolphins record is 0-2-1
Now lets compare this playoff run to the 1983 Raiders run in the playoffs.
Vs 10-6 Steelers - 38-10
Vs 9-7 Seahawks - 30-14
Vs 14-2 Redskins - 38-9

Just a clue. If your own customer made scoring system brings the ONLY perfect team in at 22nd, your system is wrong. Also 1st in Scoring on both offence and defence. In 5 out of 7 catagories, they cannot be beaten (record, 1-score record, 2+ score record, PF, PA) so SOS and playoff performance drop them that far? Stopped watching, sorry - but this it utter junk.
