I have never gotten over Ditka giving the ball to the Fridge to score that TD from the 1 yard line instead of giving it to Walter Payton. From BGO: “The Chicago Bears drafted running back Walter Payton with their first pick in the 1975 NFL Draft. By the time he and the Bears reached the 1985 Super Bowl, he had become the running back with 😂the most yards in NFL history. He had also become one of the most trustworthy and durable players in the league. Payton was fiercely dedicated to the Bears and may have been their best player up to that point. He may be the best player they’ve ever had.” “During the 1985 NFL season, the Bears went 15-1 and steamrolled their way to the league’s biggest game, the Super Bowl. Payton had a very big part in helping the Bears win those fifteen games and march through the playoffs. He rushed for 1551 yards on 324 attempts. He averaged 4.8 yards per carry and had 12 total touchdowns.” Walter never complained about this but I’m not even a Bears fan and was pissed. It was a sorry thing for Ditka to do.

You are awesome!!! I loved this. You have a great voice and personality. As well as being so informed and funny too! I predict big things for you!!!!👍🏼👏🤩 Loved it!
Man, there was so much more going on in these early superbowls. The AFL was running a new wide open pass offense that was really the original West Coast created by Sid Gillman. Later Don Coryell and Bill Walsh would run separate versions of this offense, which when combined - has become the Pro Spread of today or Pro Offense which is now combined with the Power Spread of college in the Pro PS (some cases PS Pro) that we see everywhere today. Back to the 60s - not just about predictions, sex and other shenanigans. Lombardi of the Packers Dynasty actually learned early in his career from Sid Gillman, but he was even more excited about this zone blocking scheme by Gillman. Gillman was all about Space - using the field - like people hadn't understood yet. Before that it was all about Power - Personnel - man on man - who wins the battle. Space was a long time development. Gillman also began to introduce the idea of Timing. Everyone was using the Shaughnessy Modern T into Split T and now in the 60s into the standard Pro Set (2 RBS, 1TE, 2WRs). As I said above, Lombardi was about getting his lineman into space and blocking in their area (not a man per say) and the RBs not running in a particular spot - but running where space opened - run to daylight. Like the Air Raid Route Runners looks for grass. Now - the AFL still ran a lot of Power as well - really, Gillman loved the Power mixed with the Spread - Power Spread - but it was quick hitters with quick leverage - but same idea - either inside or outside - fast and running to daylight. Hank Stram was the great innovator who coached the Chiefs. Sort of pre-cursor to Bill Walsh. Little spread ideas in both the run and pass game. Object was to get the balls in the hands of the athletes and move the chains. The Raiders were about Vertical Pass along with the Power. So the Vertical Spread of the Game that was new for the Time. The Jets really followed the Gillman ideal - Power inside/outside with Spread Passes Deep,Intermediate, and Short - ALL THE SPACE - ALL THE FIELD. Bear Bryant was already moving into the Gillman Pro Style when Namath played at Bama (this was before Bear's move to Wishbone). So Namath was used to this new Pro Pass Game. What's actually more interesting than the Colts debacle in SB3 was the fact that Namath had a very average game. The Jets had a high flying passing offense during the season - but as you can see in this SB - their power run game and defense was good as well. The NFL Teams were simply more talented still, but the old Culture of Power was truly giving way to this more Spread element of the AFL. More than that - it was FUN -- the AFL should have been call the All Fun League. The games between themselves was more entertaining. Talent was equal so schemes flourished. Vs the NFL at the time, the AFL did need the Colts and Vikes to screw up a lot. Once the leagues merged it all started to come together. Pro Passing Game from Gillman to Coryell to Walsh to Martz. Still Power Running w/ Steelers / Dolphins / Raiders / Cowboys - combined with the pass. And Defense always a big phase of this game. The NFL really cemented itself as an American Culture identitiy in the 70s and 80s and then more innovation was bubbling in the 90s that made its way from college to pro in 2000s and accepted in 2010s - and here we are ...
Dude. You're hardcore. I'm old enough where the first superbowl I remember (sorta) watching was 16. The 80s basically sucked for interesting games, unless you hated the Broncos like family did. Then there were some hilarious ones. Personal favorite: 48, because I'm a Seahawks fan and it was nice to know we were going to win it all well before the game was actually over. There was no superbowl 49. It was canceled or something. Most fun ones to watch: Carolina vs New England, Pittsburgh vs Arizona and New England Vs Phila-foles-ia. The latest one would be on the list, but yeah, that ticky tacky call at the end robbed us of seeing if Jalen Hurts could muster one last drive. Most hilarious: Eli Manning beating New England twice.
That’s hilarious that John Elway threw an interception the famous play he dived and did a helicopter. I never knew that. It’s so interesting watching players old games and comparing them to their legacy and how people talk about them.
After the helicopter broncos drove for the td lead, GB then fumbled on the kickoff return. John elway tried to go for the kill on the very next play where he threw that INT to eugene robinson who played for the old afc west seattle seahawks and knew elway was going to try the kill. Good thing denver still pulled it out in the 4th.
It's wild that a QB as great as Peyton Manning got 2 x Super Bowl wins where he was the one being carried. Weird to think that he had such a an amazing career, yet never had a great showing in a Super Bowl.
Love the video and it's hard to get everything right but in Super Bowl V, the Colts were Coached by Don McCafferty. Don Shula was Coaching the Dolphins in 1970. Yeah the final score would've been 17-0 in Super Bowl VII if left-handed Garo Yepremian made the FG and didn't try that right-handed pass, allowing the Redskins to score the TD.

Man, we haven't won that many rings in a long time. R.I.P Vince Lombardi
If not for Big Ben, y’all wouldn’t have won anymore at all.
If it wasn’t for the refs, y’all would only have 5. Super Bowl 40 was rigged as fuck
28:00 The 90s NFC Championship was informally known as "The Real Super Bowl". But that kind of started in 1992 with Dallas vs San Fran over the next few years. In 1991, Washington and Buffalo were the two best teams. Detroit was an upstart and not on their level. Buffalo would be the third best team in 1992 and 1993
You had me with the man flying the jetpack being chased by, "pelicans"
Excellent vid bro we appreciate the shit ton of effort you put into your content.
I'm really impressed that you knew about the Max McGee story ! Usually only diehard Packer fans or older football fans know about this. I tip my hat to you
Been with this guy since like 3 thousand subs. Can’t wait to watch him blow up
I never comment on RUclips videos but this one captured my attention for the entire hour and I hope to see more like it. I watch and rewatch your content daily and look forward to every new upload
He may be the best player they’ve ever had.”
“During the 1985 NFL season, the Bears went 15-1 and steamrolled their way to the league’s biggest game, the Super Bowl. Payton had a very big part in helping the Bears win those fifteen games and march through the playoffs. He rushed for 1551 yards on 324 attempts. He averaged 4.8 yards per carry and had 12 total touchdowns.”
Walter never complained about this but I’m not even a Bears fan and was pissed. It was a sorry thing for Ditka to do.
Ditka has said that he actually thought Payton already scored earlier. Iron Mike has always regretted that this happened
@@tonyhoablehow do you think someone scores earlier…
This guy is committed to entertaining us
Somehow never contextualized there being fucking over FIFTY GODDAMN SUPERBOWLS until seeing this video...holy shit..my dude must have watched like.....150+ hours of football in just a handful of sittings to make this vid....that's asking a lot of even the most hardcore fans. Earned a sub with this one😭
Super Bowl 53 was such a miserable grind. Utterly boring from start to inexorable conclusion.
whos here after sb58
The Dolphins became a Superbowl Fleshlight. I'm deceased 😆🤣💀
As a 56 year old lifelong Vikings fan I think you should know I am strongly considering calling Amnesty International and reporting you for cruel and unusual torture!
Haven't us poor fans of Minnesota suffered enough in recent times. MUST you go back to when I was but a small child watching in awe at the purple team that played in the snow lose. I got older but they kept losing that all important final game. The regular season was so good most years. Then they ran into the Dolphins...the Steelers...and finally the Raiders.
Only Bills fans have a understanding of this pain. Also like my beloved Vikings, it seems no matter how good a season Minnesota and Buffalo have its almost like the football gods know us poor fans just can't handle a FIFTH loss!
Dang, when you said longer more polished videos I didn't realize you meant hour long videos about EVERY SUPER BOWL.
Sir huge kudos for this video. Like you said this was a massive project and that alone deserves much appreciation. And I also find you friendly and likable on top of all that. Thank you so much. Again people need to know that so much more effort was involved here than many may realize. I just subscribed brother. Keep up the work and even more so the desire to.😀
You have the football knowledge of an 80 year old at this point
Great video. Thanks for taking this much time to make a great vid!
Oh boy, Oh boy. What I wonderful video I have found myself devouring today for content. Yummy Yum, Thank you for providing this meal for me to watch on such a glorious day.
This channel is great. Entertaining for fans, semi-fans, and even outsiders.
You are awesome!!! I loved this. You have a great voice and personality. As well as being so informed and funny too! I predict big things for you!!!!👍🏼👏🤩
Loved it!
So glad I found this channel.
Another weekly Tub Frog video. Good thing I got my lunch set up.
Great video! This deserve a lot more views!!!
It warms my heart that a young man like yourself knows what a never-say-die superhero Roger Staubach was in his day.
Super Bowl 5 was crazy
Riggins didn't have a mustache in SB XVII, and you sadly missed out on his cool mohawk.
Super Bowl 2 was NOT Vince Lombardi’s last game in the NFL. In 1969 he coached the Washington Redskins to their first winning season in over a decade.
Another fire video keep pushing bro.
It's wild that a QB as great as Peyton Manning got 2 x Super Bowl wins where he was the one being carried.
Weird to think that he had such a an amazing career, yet never had a great showing in a Super Bowl.
As A cowboys fan seeing the Catch burned my soul to 49ers
You work SOOOOOO hard and your so funny 😂 and u have 34k subs? You should have 1000000000000
Keep uo the amazing work! This is an awesome video!!!
That unhinged Tom Brady photo had me instantly hooked, plus the dorm bed and mini fridge. Bro is fully unhinged doing this in a college dorm room 😂
Its worth noting that when Phil Simms went 22/25 with two DROPS on the day.
As a Bucs fan it's really cool to go back and see just how great my franchise's best qb was in dominating the league. Retire in Peace Tom.
For my fellow Eagles 🦅 fans
-SB 39 44:29

Go Birds
Thank you!!
You should’ve won 39😤
@@tjz3158 McChoke lost us the game. Throwing 4 INTs (1 was called back). TO with 1 leg balled out tho !
Ik I'm 9 months late like my ex with this comment but bro TUB I have a different level of respect for you entirely after seeing this. It's takes a different breed of human to actually sit and watch every super bowl from start to finish back to back.
To agree with the top comment. Yeah no reason you shouldn't have at like 4 or 500 k sub by now.
58:00 “probably wasn’t a holding, & you don’t even call that penalty there”
I see what you mean (Chiefs Super Bowl) epic joke!
You look like Nick Fuentes if he wasn’t a closeted gay guy. Oh yeah and good video brotha
Beautiful video! Great work and a really nice retrospective of NFL history...
You’re right the colts didn’t do too much to win super bowl 41
Yeah they really didn’t they just had to wait for Rex grossman to implode.
29:42 ❤ The Office reference
