This is without a doubt the least helpful troubleshooting video I have ever seen.

What if the power is on but it won’t light up at all when clicking on any of the buttons..
The dishwasher quality is insulting enough before this video. This was NO help! If anything, this video just annoys me more... We have had our dishwasher for 10 months and suddenly the button panel will not work. I've triple-checked everything is connected, checked/flipped the breaker, and tried all other useless tips in the manual and on the website. Of course, nobody is in the 'office' or answering to be of any assistance. Any other ideas?

I have been fighting with this DW now for a week, it is 2 yrs old.
After less than a year, The water inlet switch started leaking and soaked the sink side of the kitchen. $16 part, pretty easy to replace.
Now, Another year later, it stopped mid cycle with water in bottom. Checked for anything stopping pump in the drainage area....nothing-----turns easily.
Lights turn on normally like it is ready to go, and nothing is blinking and NO water noise or hum. NOTHING.
Another video said to check the water float switch might be stuck up to make the DW think it is full of water. Checked switch on bottom near floor---works fine.
I'm stuck , pretty disgusted with this manufacturer
UPDATE ! After MORE trouble shooting, I took the door control panel off and checked the door switch. It clicked but I had to jam the 2 electrical contacts to it back into their connector
and it started working. Ridiculous lack of quality
Yeah I’m no repair guy but I literally shake my Frigidaire around and sometimes it starts immediately and sometimes I have to keep shaking it. It took me a half hour this last time to get it working again 🤣 it’s just pure junk but expensive and they couldn’t care less. I won’t buy from them anymore.
Much appreciation to a previous post for sharing. After trying many suggestions (that did not work) we unplugged from the outlet, waited a minute, plugged in and saw green and red flashing lights. We selected our settings and the dishwasher is operating.

Hello, can anyone assist? The lights only flash when I flip the breaker or unplug the dishwasher. It lights up and allows me to select a cycle and then it shuts off lights goes out and nothing. It’s less than 2 years. Anything helps thanks
Thank You, I got it started.
I was having trouble getting it to start and I found turning off and on the circuit breaker worked. I also cleaned the button pads with a dry cloth. Most importantly, I said a prayer. I give all the credit to God, as it is now working.

I would call this 2019 Fridgidaire kitchen suite the shitbox package. The oven smelled DEADLY Toxic when initially operated. The refrigerator overheats and shuts itself off, the shelves and doors broke within 6 months - Also the water filters are loaded with chemicals that are added to the ice and water dispenser which tastes toxic for the 1st several gallons after replacement. And the dishwasher start button works intermittently after 6 months. Bravo. You really roped me in as a repeat customer lol.

Helped me with a new washer. Didn’t know the door had to be open to select a cycle. That’s kind of weird.

This was helpful. I called Frigidaire customer support and described my situation and was given a number to a local repair company. I didn't ever call them. My only issue was pressing start after the door was closed. I mean that's how the clothes washer and dryer and microwave work. I also check the ground wire which did seen a little loose.
This fixed my problem, but what insane person designed a washer to start while open?
Pretty sure it’s slave labor out of Chy Na. They claim some of it’s from the USA but I bet that’s probably only the stickers they put on it🤣 it’s so messed up our politicians have allowed that rotten place to make so many of our goods through slave labor!

Continuous problems with my Frigidaire. Much of it arising from the fact that the upward facing control panel isn't water tight and will short if it gets any water on it. .... Stupid design.

Silly me. I was just asking the dishwasher to start with the door wide open and the power to the house shut off. No wonder it didn’t work.

How come the dishwasher starts with no issue when selecting 30 Minute Wash, but won’t start at all when selecting Normal Wash?
It with either not respond after closing the door with the lights turning off or it will give this continuous beep that won’t stop until I open the door again. But when I do that and look at the selections, nothing seems wrong.
But as soon as I select 30 Minute Wash, it works first try 😒
If the dishwasher door isn't closed properly, the dishwasher will not receive power to start or complete a cycle. Sometimes it's something as simple as resetting or unplugging the unit for a minute or two. The touchpads are sensitive and sometimes when making selections you need to press and hold the buttons in longer. While the door is open, you have to select the cycle you want then hit start and close the door.

I have noticed that when the cycle stops there is on mine a green light appears on the floor in front of the dishwasher!!!!
Yes, many of our dishwasher models display a light on the floor to indicate the cycle status! While washing, it will be blue. Green means clean! ~Ashton

How do I troubleshoot when the panel does not light up? When panel goes dark and dies, I can open the door and it lights up for about 30 seconds, then dies again. If I then close the door, the panel will light back up then after 30-ish seconds it dies again.

THISSS. Mine said it was stuck on the clean cycle. Wouldn't let me cancel, or anything. So I flipped the breaker, the lights flashed and went back to normal 🤞🤞 but then they turned off and won't come back on 😡😡😡
How do you deactivate the delay? What are the 3 numbers? Are they for the length of time it will run?
Hello! When the Delay Start is active, the numbers displayed show the amount of time the dishwasher will wait before starting the cycle. It will begin to count down when you press start and close the door. To cancel the delay on most models, press and hold the start/cancel button. Please refer to your Owner's Manual for more precise information! ~Ashton

Ensure that the dishwasher is properly plugged into a functioning power outlet and that the circuit breaker or fuse controlling the dishwasher's power is not tripped or blown. Turn off the dishwasher by pressing the power button or unplugging it from the power source for a few minutes.
Hi thank you for responding but that did not work. I have a power tester. It says everything has power including when i touch the control panel. But again non of the buttons light up, beep, or any type of response

My dishwasher won’t start. You select the cycle and hit start and it just won’t turn on. The buttons light up but nothing happens. I’ve checked the filters and cleaned them and still nothing.

This was useless as others have mentioned but I got mine to work by unplugging the power cord and plugging it again.
Thank you! I tried pressing buttons in different sequences for 10 minutes hoping something would work. Saw your post and climbed under the sink to unplug and re-plug the power cord. Panel lit up like a Christmas tree, then went dark. Pressed Normal wash, then Start and back in business. I was so stressed out thinking I broke the dishwasher, I probably never would have thought of something so simple. Appreciate the help!

Hello! Are you referring to a Child Lock function on the display? Some models do have this capability and instructions on turning it on and off should be included in your manual. There is typically an indicator on the display itself as well that says something like "hold 3s to lock" - it is usually by the Heat Dry or Delay Start button. If the manual instructions aren't working to unlock it, you can also turn off power to the dishwasher for 30 seconds to reset it! This video was of no help. My dishwasher is 10 months old and just stopped working. I have been using it since it was installed. I am very familiar with how to operate it. I need someone to repair or replace it.
Same here!! We got a brand new, out- of- the- box, digital, stainless steel model like the one shown in the video, Frigidaire dishwasher around 10 months ago (June 2019). And now all it will do is flash 3, vertical, green lights. We tried unplugging the unit and resetting the breaker for extended periods. And pressed the Start/ Cancel button for 3 seconds many times. Nothing will reset the flashing lights to allow me to choose a wash cycle. I just spoke to one of their CS reps who told me it is under warranty for 1 year and a repair man will need to come out to fix it. Because there is no other way to reset the panel.
Arlene: there is a phone number on the inside panel of the dishwasher located on a sticker that says Cascade on it. On it is the ph # to Frigidaire/ Electrolux customer service in the US.

@@mikaeltaylor7188 I had to call the number on the sticker located on the panel. Repairman mentioned it being related to a factory defect issue or something along those lines. Ever since it was repaired, dwasher is starting up a lot easier than before. Go figure.
What about having to replace the control panel three times in five years due to the repeated ER error code. Not buying your garbage again

Figidaire washer failed 1 year and 2 weeks. No warranty. The replacement Maytag failed in 8 months. Frigidaire dishwasher failed in 1.5 years. Maytag/Frigidaire and all the brands they make are complete trash. Frigidaire refrigerator began breaking within weeks. Just plain garbage.

Simple enough-it is a hidden control panel for a cleaner look, so you have to open the door to access it.
@@denisesanluis8203 That's correct! An extra tip: you have about 3 seconds to close the door after pressing start to trigger the cycle. If you wait too long, it won't start! This is a safety feature to prevent harm to children or pets if they get into the dishwasher and have the door close on them accidentally. ☺~Ashton

If anyone is having problems with this model not getting power whatsoever, even though it’s plugged in and the breaker hasn’t tripped, let me know. I know how to fix the power issues.
This is how our problem started. After first wondering if we had a bad GFI we replaced that and now cannot get it to start. It recognizes power is running to it but you press start, close the door, hear it make the noises like it normally does to start and then it stops completely and when it’s reopened it just says “ER”
Please explain none of the buttons are doing anything we just got it and it and nothing will work
My gf opened the door mid-cycle and the PF code showed. She closed the door and the buttons are not activating now. Has zero power to it, it seems. I checked the breaker and it hasnt tripped. Any thoughts?

Where us the child lock
Hello! In the model pictured in this video, the Child Lock can be activated or deactivated by pressing and holding the Delay Start button. If yours looks different, check your model's display for text reading "hold 3s to lock" or something similar. You can also consult your Owner's Manual!
