Frigidaire dishwasher not spraying water

this dishwasher would fill up with water and when it would come time for spring water. you could barely hear the pump making some noise. I had to pull the unit out to confirm that was the wash pump that was ticking like you was stuck laid on his back. pulled the pump apart was full of Gunk. I'm pretty sure they are made to run wet. this two parts to this pump you can pretty easily pull the motor stator magnet off by removing four screws it does have the watertight seal so I assume water supposed to get in there but there was a lot of gunk from the food. I did take the whole pump out by removing the plate that's holding with two black star screws. The pump rotor had a bunch of hair around it that I could remove pretty easily. just to confirm there's nothing else stuck there. when I put it back together it worked as new. we'll see how long it last but possibly might need a new motor pump assembly. OEM part is 150. there is some on Amazon for $40. not sure how long they would last. good luck with your repairs

I have the same one. This is probably what is wrong with mine. Probably cheaper to buy a new one.
