During the attack Chloe also bit his arm but more importantly Colin either hit him in the back of the head with an object or he pushed John causing John to hit the back of his head and he ended up having a seizure, vomited, and became unconscious. Instead of calling 911, they decided they would put them on the lawn and pretend that a snow plow driver had hit him and that's how he died. He was not dead yet but he was actively dying so they knew the hypothermia would finish him off. Jen McCabe made that search because they wanted to be certain by the morning he would be dead. Even if he did survive he might have been a vegetable after the trauma to the head. But, the plan to make it look like a snow plow driver accident was foiled because Karen woke up frantically searching for him so after she found him they had to pretend that she was the one that did it

This whole group of adults seems like they behave in the same way they have since high school or before. They're in their forties and are still hanging around together bar-hopping and partying. No, the witness is not on trial, the TRUTH is on trial. Limiting questions the attorneys can ask to “one more” limits the quest for the truth. I think the judge does that in some cases, but by no means all, because she is an elected official and the jurors are potential voters. She is trying to please the jurors by moving the trial along in hopes they will like her and vote for her. This tactic could backfire on her because perhaps a juror is interested in the line of questioning and wants to know more but the judge cuts it down to one more question. I’m going to pay more attention to when the judge does this and who is on the witness stand when she does. If an attorney is belaboring a point the judge should say “”wrap it up” because you never know where one more question will lead!

I think i got this all figured out. The officers at the "party" got into it with the victim, beat him, went too far with the beating and inadvertently killed him. Then put his body in the yard, out of the lighted area. The chief that lives across the street, deleted his ring video to help cover this up. Karen read, is not part of these people's little circle so she becomes their scapegoat. They along with the state troopers, come up with a story they think won't get scrutinized, but fell apart through a good defense attorney. What they didn't expect was the FBI opening an investigation into this. Side note... the FBI don't investigate hit and run accidents or snow plow accidents. I can't wait to see which one of these idiots is the first to make a deal and testifies against the rest. Personally, i think it was a set up from the get go. After watching Paul O’ Keefe’s puff interview after the trial and his juvenile testimony, It’s evident that he is weak and is a user. He was fine with Karen when she helped finance his DUI and took care of his niece and nephew so that the “family members” didn’t have to be burdened . That is mean spirited and intentionally hurtful towards Karen. There would be a more neutral way to state this if that's what Jen actually observed. She got her jab in, but the jury will have noted her level of animosity so any statements she makes about Karen will be tainted with a nasty vindictive flavour. No, the witness is not on trial, the TRUTH is on trial. Limiting questions the attorneys can ask to “one more” limits the quest for the truth. I think the judge does that in some cases, but by no means all, because she is an elected official and the jurors are potential voters. She is trying to please the jurors by moving the trial along in hopes they will like her and vote for her. This tactic could backfire on her because perhaps a juror is interested in the line of questioning and wants to know more but the judge cuts it down to one more question. I’m going to pay more attention to when the judge does this and who is on the witness stand when she does. If an attorney is belaboring a point the judge should say “”wrap it up” because you never know where one more question will lead!

I think i got this all figured out.
The officers at the "party" got into it with the victim, beat him, went too far with the beating and inadvertently killed him. Then put his body in the yard, out of the lighted area. The chief that lives across the street, deleted his ring video to help cover this up. Karen read, is not part of these people's little circle so she becomes their scapegoat. They along with the state troopers, come up with a story they think won't get scrutinized, but fell apart through a good defense attorney. What they didn't expect was the FBI opening an investigation into this.
Side note... the FBI don't investigate hit and run accidents or snow plow accidents. I can't wait to see which one of these idiots is the first to make a deal and testifies against the rest. Personally, i think it was a set up from the get go. I'd say 1st degree murder and conspiracy.

One of the most disturbing things about this entire case is how the O’Keefe family is NOT even remotely interested in justice for John. The evidence is overwhelming that Ms Reads car per evidence shown was not the cause of Mr O’Keefe’s death. It’s truly disturbing their lack of loyalty to their own son, brother. After watching Paul O’ Keefe’s puff interview after the trial and his juvenile testimony, It’s evident that he is weak and is a user. He was fine with Karen when she helped finance his DUI and took care of his niece and nephew so that the “family members” didn’t have to be burdened . This “family” is just as guilty as the crooked Police and Judge. The fact this poor excuse for a family. The O’Keefe’s have filled a civil suit after the clear evidence of Ms Reads innocence , just proves that they are just after the money, again. This won’t end well for them.
