    When my mother passed away in 2009 my sister gave me all of her yarn and unfinshed projects since she did not crochet. Included in the projects was a small 3 X 3 sample of a stitch I had never seen before. I tried over and over to recreate the pattern but no luck. Well today I learned what it was. The Star Stitch! So glad I discovered your You Tube videos and your website!

      @naztazia. on this video you say that you always chain 3 on the rows you draw up loops but on the written pattern it says chain 2 on the row we draw up loops. which is it please?

    • @mariamiller1208
      @mariamiller1208 5 месяцев назад

      @@arlene2971 For one row it is always 2 and the other row always three. It is the same on the video and the written instructions.

    I haven't seen any of your stitches yet that I haven't liked, but the one thing I like most about your videos is that there's not alot of useless chatter. You always get right to the point. Thanks Donna!!

    Thank you so much for this! I was trying to figure out an early 20th century pattern in French. I thought it was a simple shell at first, but it was making no sense. This is what they were trying to instruct the person to do. Thank you for the clear instructions and closeups!

    Thank you Donna for taking the time and showing us this lovely stitch slowly that can be easily understood by all because of the camera focus being so close to your hook , yarn and ultimately the creation of this lovely stitch.

    Just wanted to say an extra special Thank you for this video. I am an experienced crocheter, however I was having a hard time keeping my edges straight. I watched 3 other videos and still couldn’t get it right. Your video did the trick🎉 Your ends we’re so direct and easy to understand. Thank you again... another stitch under my belt.🤗😍🥰

  • @tamara25252
    @tamara25252 4 года назад +42

    Is it normal for my edges to be lopsided? I don't know if it's because I'm changing the tension each time or if I'm missing a stitch.

      Hi. The edges should be straight. Rewatch the video and be careful how many you chain, where you put your first stitch and where you put your last stitch. You got this. 😀💜

    This is the 5th video tutorial on this stitch that I've watched and it seems there's different ways to do this stitch. Not 1 of the other 4 videos was clear enough for me to see exactly what's going on. When I watched this video I could see everything so clear and I'm confident I can now do this stitch with no problem. Wish I had just come here first but live and learn I guess. Thanks for being so clear. I do like how you make your loops nice and loose so there's no trouble seeing exactly where you're going with the hook. I give this tutorial a big thumbs up👍👍 and a score of 10 out of 10!!
