- Kansas City Southern Railroad, Norfolk Southern Railroad, CSX & New Castle Southern Railroad Locomotives Featured In New Castle, Indiana & Muncie, Indiana. Railroad Radio Up Close Look, railroad maintenance of way equipment, railroad diamonds and a semaphore signal are featured. A train is working hard in the rain with 3 locomotives in New Castle, Indiana to start the video. The railroad crossing is at the interchange with the New Castle Southern Railroad. We saw the New Castle Southern locomotive GP15-1 bring 3 covered hopper cars into town and then back down an industrial spur to a customer about a mile away at the end of track. We filmed the locomotive sitting inside a fenced in area where they shut down. I have 2 videos of this same locomotive being delivered to this railroad when they first started leasing about 21 miles of track from Norfolk Southern last year. Notice the working semaphore in this video next to the Norfolk Southern office. I will be returning to show it in use.
Next we went to Muncie, Indiana to film trains at the diamonds. First a close look at my radio since everyone keeps asking. It's just a cheap radio that does everything I need and it fits in my shirt pocket. The best frequencies for these 2 towns are 160.440 for Norfolk Southern in New Castle, 161.355 for Norfolk Southern in Muncie, 160.800 for CSX in Muncie, 160.950 for NS coming around the west leg of the wye and heading south and 452.9375 for End Of Train device. 457.9375 for front EOT could be used but not necessary.
Next we see some maintenance of way equipment crossing the diamonds while men are welding a rail. After that we see a long eastbound CSX manifest hit the diamonds. While we were in Muncie, Norfolk Southern was a lot busier than CSX. Don't miss Chessie and Norfie and remember that there is always a slide show at the end of my videos. I never use the same intro and outro twice.
Filmed in 4K on August 10, 2022
Thanks for watching! If you have time, please watch another video of mine to help keep my channel going. Every view helps support my channel. Viewing time helps pay for gas, motels, rental cars etc. I have a list of places that I plan on filming so watch another video of mine if you have the time.

Love the sound steel wheels crowing the diamond. Thanks JT.
Me too!
I especially enjoyed the rhythm of the auto racks going across the diamonds!
I like how you include details on the community you are visiting, it adds a whole new dimension to railfanning!
Thank you very much!
I love the way you insert information about the communities which you visit while imparting your knowledge of the trains.....kerp it up.

@@williamcoulston7788 👍👍👍👍👍. Planning to go to Metairie this evening to listen to some live music.
Kind of a cool rhythm of the car carriers going over the diamonds. Really surprised those don't derail a train.
I like that Chrysler mural there in New Castle. That horn on that MOW equipment sounded cool. Great catches!
Hello everyone, Jaw Tooth here again 👋
These small towns and smallish cities are so much more interesting because they grew up organically so that there's a nice mixture of businesses, locally owned stores, restaurants, industry, and housing, all mixed in together, and not five lane megahighways and business parks with gigantic parking lots
Insomniacs Lullaby part two by Muncie, Indiana!! Love the semaphore signal. Great video, thanks JT 👍👍👍👍
Good video
Quite the drumline cadences between the auto racks and the double stacks
Norfie finally grew up! She's a beautiful black cat. I'm so glad you took her in when she was a stray.
Love the Curve action JT
You putting up some great videos 👍
Thanks 👍
Thanks for showing us your scanner. I was able to screenshot it and then order one. You really get around! Lots of variety and great videos. Be blessed!
That's a cool place to watch trains!
The first adventure in Indiana this summer,so good!!!!!
Between the rain and good trains obviously...
🇱🇷🚂🚂🚂😍😍😘😘😘
Excellent video as always! Glad not only to see my hometown homies Kansas City Southern on the point of that first train but looks like you caught a road crew finishing up a thermite weld!
I love to see railway construction and maintenance; they are also very cool machines.
Good morning from UP Country down here in 903 Texas
Good morning from Kalamazoo Michigan

Love downtown Muncie, IA. Next best thing to “Street Running”. Thank you also for the excellent commentary.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Great video. thanks for taking us to the different towns.
Our pleasure!
Nice looking town
It's a cute little station New Castle, even in the rain! Did you notice the " Speeding Max $1000 Reckless Driving Max 6 Yrs " road sign? You've been warned, speeders... We're not kidding!
Good afternoon from South Africa! Thanks for the videos🙋♀️🙋♂️✝️🙏🚂🚃🚝🚞🚟🛤️🚉♥️🇿🇦
Hello South Africa
Amazing videos jaw tooth keep up the good work
Hello Brian! Been to Greencastle, IN, outside of Indy but haven’t been to New Castle, IN. Thanks for going on the Road to see Trains. 👍
You bet!
Good morning from New Orleans la 🌞☀️
Good morning from Kalamazoo Michigan
Dude, that diamond had a good drum cadence, when those auto-racks were crossing. :)
Awesome locomotives and watching enjoying 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍😎 and enjoying the end video too AWESOME JT 👌 😃👍😎❤❤
Thank you very much!
I could really like that shirt! That's the area where my son lives. Norfie still hasn't figured that tail thing.
More cool locations. I wish the Newcastle and Southern nothing but success. I love how different angle diamonds produce different cadences as the cars pass over. Liked it much, thanks!
The CSX train autoracks laid down a cool beat as they went over the tracks. 🎶🎵 I've heard of musical roads that really play tunes. It would be neat if they could do that with sections of track.
Merci beaucoup pour cette très belle vidéo ! 👍🙏
Greetings from Grat Falls Montana, Brett here again. Hoping the kitty cat is good and the whole family. The cats we've got make sure they come first. I thoroughly enjoyed video. Had some KCS units stray through town on the unit grain trains that come out of Cadter MT. The trains are ordered by the co-op grain facility. Train arrives, typically 3 or 4 power units, load out 115 to 125 cars, then it heads from here to Shelby MT. From there the journey to west coast namely Portland OR. where the journey ends at the sea-port. The grain is loaded onto I verses vessel ml and it winds up somewhere in the world. Thought you might like the story so I included it here. Keep up the good fight and sometime will show some of our club layout, the largest in Montana-maybe,thank you for a great viewing session,I quite enjoyed it.
Awsome video mr jawtooth thankyou again for sharing. A blast from the past with those 2 tri color CSX AC4400cws
Glad you enjoyed it
MOW's have some strange looking equipment , don't they Son ? Good vid ...

Glad you like it!
Both brilliant videos JT; those first locomotives were certainly piling on the power! Very cool listening to the sounds of the different freight cars going through the diamond crossing 👍🏻🚂😁
Many thanks!
All those trains are moving on new train will be busy soon. I use to know older people who are from Muncie you go all over. Jt good job
I was born in this town in 1955 .,And I worked at the courthouse after I graduated from high school . I was just there today .

Once again you have shown why I just love your vlogs - great information charmingly presented - plus, because of your vlog I have found several other rail fans that I now follow - a BIG THANKS to 1960gambit for letting you ride along
Thanks so much 😊
Good afternoon Jaw Tooth. Huge fan from Oregon. I admire your great train videos and the animal shows, too. At the end of this video, funny cat
Thank you very much!
Well, Señor Jaws, you really made me feel old this morning. It was 50 years ago this week I left Port Deposit, Maryland where I resided and was finishing up a special summer session at the Naval Academy Prep School in Bainbridge, Maryland to head out west to West Lafayette, Indiana. I went there to start my Naval Enlisted Science and Engineering Program attendance at Purdue University. Fully paid for and I earned a B.S. Mathematics and commission as an Ensign USN (after another special summer program at the Naval Officers Candidate School in Newport, Rhode Island... and America's Cup Yacht Race 1974). And now I see Kansas City Southern locomotives down here ... Colonia Centrol Histórico, Puebla, México. ... Had you played 'Back Home Again in Indiana', I'd probably be shedding a tear right now. RT sends. Por favor... issue a 'Kleenex Moment Warning' at the beginning of these Indiana Jaw Tooth nostalgia videos.
12:00 - That train's pounding out a groovy beat.
16:00 - Git that tail, Chessie!
Nice to see you come to Indiana. Great video
Great video JT! That thumbnail looks almost like a painting 🖼 ! Love those classic KCS colors!
Thanks 👍
Wow.....that was way boss kewl man !!!!
Kansas City Southern hardware, what a sight.
Sure dont get to see many of them where we are in the Keystone state.
Wonder how she got way up in Indiana.
Wont be much more of them though.....guess they'll be painted
in CPRail colors now.
Thanks for the visit my home town,we have a lot of trains all the time ,they are put new ties in 8/15 22 north of town
Very cool!
We`re gonna have to go back up there and catch the New Castle Southern when it isn`t raining!
Great trains. Thanks, Jaw Tooth.
Thank you too!
I live in new castle and pass that line every day!
Amazing freight trains 👍🚂
Very exciting to see trains giving it all they have to make hills! I love it and it was cool to see the KCS tier 4 leading also!
GREAT catch on the KCS engine, JT! I thought that guy who came up to you was a fan of yours.
You might want to tell Norfie she can't ever catch her own tail - but she CAN catcah Chessie's! Great video, and nice KCS leader! 73 Old Man.
Thanks for watching!
So, there'll presumably be a ton of comments about the NCSR locomotive being in the same paint scheme as CCET's. CCET and NCSR are both owned by Homestead Rail; the locomotives in question are leased from Indiana Box Car Corp. (IBCX).
Thanks was going to ask that very question. Always good to scan the comments first.
@@blueskyboys9855 You're welcome. One problem: I was wrong. Turns out that CCET and NCSR are both owned by the same company, so I've edited my comment.
@@beeble2003 Oh excellent work. That's really interesting does Homestead Rail own any other shortrail lines?
@@blueskyboys9855 According to their website, they just own the two short lines, plus a few transload facilities. It looks like they also own sidings in a few places, as they advertise car storage as being available in multiple states. I guess they must either use trackmobiles or pay the connecting railroads to switch cars in and out of those sidings, as they don't list any locomotives on their site other than the ones they have at CCET and NCSR.
Goodmorning from woods County oklahoma
Happy Saturday Jaw Tooth!!!!
You too!!
Seeing and hearing trains go all out to get up these steep grades is just awesome, KCS in my opinion has the best paint scheme around. Those MOW equipment have pretty loud horns themselves. 123 cars, that’s a
pretty long train to me. Another good video JT. Thanks.👍🏼
I think so too!
Thanks you jaw tooth keep up the good work
Interesting video, nice new castle locomotive, really enjoyed, be safe jt
Thank you very much!
Plugging along in the rain. Well if you made the journey might as well 🎥 and make the best of it. KCS still colorful even on a dreary day and between the sizes and colors of the containers a giant LEGO set. The CSX train with it's mix of cars was like a 5 layer freight car Oreo. The GP15 sure has that IBCX Indiana Box Car Co paint scheme like the one used on CCET. Norfie far and away hilarious with the electrifying chase the tail. Theŷ still haven't figured out what to do with it but it sure entertains humans!
Still loving all your detailed reports, and hoping for more!
Nice train video 📹 👍 👌 😀
Thank you very much!
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻jaw nice catches 🐕😸 👍🏻🇨🇦🇺🇸 Robin
I had to come to the video seeing that it was in my town I clicked like I enjoy your videos
Great video JT. Second consist technically only had 101 cars. Railroads classify multiple well beds as a single long car and assign them a single number, same with some vehicle transports.
Thanks for the info!
@@FabianDiazTrainsTrucksNCars Thanks Fabian!
Looks like a cool place to check out.
Rise and shine 🔆
Great Catches
OMG!!! This is my old stomping grounds. That' crossing is where it goes over Hwy 38. yeah the old New Castle & Connersville RR kinda ends there. It used to have main traffic to the Ford plant in connersville but since it shut down, there hasnt been much if any traffic on that line. They mainly use the NC&C for car storage now.
This NS line goes east, through to Richmond Indiana
That was great JT especially at the end when kitty plays with himself or I should say with it or tail and then also playing with Jessie‘s tail😅😊
Nice catches and love the view
I seen your video in Muncie in awesome stuff with Zach Reno. Me and my son will be at that train spot on Saturday. It is the best one I have been too. 🙏🏻💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯
That is awesome!
You keep calling me "son," I'm gonna start calling you "Dad." 🙂
good morning buddy the weather looks wet for a good morning

The Route 66 festival is going on near me in Springfield Missouri right now. Home to the Mother Road Get your kicks on Rt66. Thanks for another wake up video!
@Jaw Tooth thanks for the radio shot. I knew I couldn't be the only that has asked in the past.
Awesome video again.
Great video JT. Nice railfanning spot there in New Castle. That NCS engine looked good outfront of that 1st train, love the paint scheme.
Thanks 👍
