Whoa, JT...from that opening shot @00:24 -- "brick-and-mortar" view of downtown New Castle -- I knew this was gonna be "a good one"!!! Re: that clip starting @6:04 of the "all-gon" train, you need to package the incredible audio of that classic NS horn display with that "pure-NS" extended-trumpet 5-chime Nathan with its 2 reverse bells...Wow!!! Loved that little sequence catching the long-hood-forward Local SD in true NS style, from the weeds, no less...that's how you get 'em!! 👍👍👏👏
If they have the receipt they can probably exchange that rail with a hump in it for a flat one, Señor Jaws. Maybe try a Train Depot Store, if not. Just buy a small section. Stylin' shirt today. Kinda safety vest, shirt, aircraft warning light, and chick magnet, all-in-one. Gracias por tu video. Have a great weekend. RT sends, Puebla, MX

Great Bull Duram sign on the side of that building. The faded sign to the top left is Wrigley’s Spearmint Gum, the bottom sentence is their old slogan: ‘Look For The Spear!’ which was one of their slogans used from 1910 or so and into the early 1960’s. Another great lineup of trains. Thanks, Jaw Tooth.
Glad to see you used the kayak while it was warmer weather - Nobody has ever invented a way to heat them. Probably because everyone knows, "You can't have your kayak and heat it too!" Thanks, Jaw Tooth for all your efforts - Great videos!!
@@elizabethkelley5858 As much as Brian has been trackside I'm sure all the regional train crews recognize him with the Hawaiian shirts.. I'm surprised he doesn't get more waves, horn salutes or a shout out the cab window!!
Great action especially with the local. That depot is a gem. Fishing for trains on the river and not catching any? You must be using the wrong bait! Excellent video, thanks JT!
Awesome shirt you're wearing. Oh yes my favorite NS train. Great DPU! 😊You caught some good captures here. Love hearing that NS locomotive engine. Made my day here Mr JT.❤😊That rail looks a little bowed. Unusual isn't it?your kitty is so pretty and Loki is so playful trying to catch those bubbles. Awesome pets. Thanks for another awesome video Mr JT. 😊
I like the way you treat your beasties. you are very kind. That the main reason I subscribe to your many railway videos. Those electric/diesel locos are very impressive as well. god Bless And i like seeing the pretty black cat.
Sure couldn't miss you in that bright yellow Hawaiian shirt! Lots of good train action. When the local started to pull out you could see guys working on the roof of the old building in the background. Just a little added bonus. Liked the segue of the ironwork where the gravel was being dumped to the tree with the kitty in it! And Loci was having lots of fun with the bubbles. Then there is you in a canoe on the river! Guess you made it back okay !!
Hi jaw tooth last Friday at saperton in New Westminster BC I finally got to see a cp train running Longwood foward I don't see it very often and it was my first time seeing two trains on tracks that way on Fri sat last week awesome horn salute speaking of that now the trucker s are giving me horn salutes at saperton everytime they see me their waiting for trains by myself or with my friends looking foward to your up coming videos this week 😊
Thx for breaking down and noting the important events in the video, BUT, may I respectfully suggest that if MR JT includes all the rest of the footage it MUST be worth watching. His videos lowers my blood pressure, eases digestion, calms my anxiety. If you suffer from any of these the vids may help you as well if you let them. Just Saying..... Peace!!👍🤨👍
@@michaelklein3112 JT has already thanked me several times for doing this my friend. Also, me putting time stamps on the video are just for people who might just want to see the trains, It's not suggesting in any way that people not watch the rest of the footage in his videos. I watch them in their entirety obviously. If they help you then keep watching them as you do, BUT try not to let other peoples actions bother you so much when they don't infringe on you whatsoever. Thank you for your thoughts, have a nice day Son.
You hit the jackpot with those gondola cars on that first train! A gondola is a good car that can carry a bunch of things and take a beating. Those inner rails look like guides of a sort. I often see those on RR bridges. I think they use them in the hope of guiding any derailed cars forward rather than sideways - not positive though.
That whoperjawed track was strange. 😮 The siding track has to be the oldest I've ever seen. It's amazing it's never been replaced! Thanks for pointing it out! 😊😊😊
I believe the gondola train in your recent video is loaded flat steel. Boats are unloaded at a dock in Paulsboro, NJ. I have seen as many as 90 gons loaded and crossing the Delaware River with only NS power. Hope this is helpful
The short line runs south to Connersville, however, a few weeks ago when I was up there I noticed that trains can only go south to New Lisbon because they have paved over the crossing there. Typically that line is only used for car storage south of New Castle.
That's an old rusty switch. A lot of the switches behind buildings that were not easy to access that got daily or weekly service would not have locks back in the 70s Or they would have those old simple triangl in a circle locks
It's Friday night now just caught this JT, another fab video great trains today, N&S are my favourite engines! We have a Newcastle not too far from us here in Yorkshire that's a great train city. 21:44 ❤😊
It would be cool if the repaint the signal n clean the lens n put new wires in actually refurbish that signal at the train station n in good working condition that signal is n antique n historic n have historic train rides n passenger train service at that station that will b cool it's sad how some historic train stations are just rotating away
That rail looks like a transition rail. That switch is a heavier rail and the rail also probably matches the mainline. Maybe one of my friends in the track department could add more clarity.

I'm watching from Newcastle .... NE England.
That SD40E #6325 was built as a SD50 for CR in 1983 as #6715
Thanks for the info!
Yep -- "SD40E" is NS's designation for an SD50 that's been retro-fitted with a nice, reliable, SD40 engine.
Always cool videos 😎😊👌👍!
Thanks!

The inner rails at switches are check rails to make sure the wheels don't split the switch, yes.
Nice variety on the mixed freight. 😊
Sometimes the squirrels tease my black cat until they learn that Toka will chase them all the way up the tree. Your new dog is doing great.

hello jaw it's is randy and i like yours video is cool thanks friends randy
very cool - didn't realize NS rebuilt some Conrail SD50s into those SD40E model,
Yeah, they basically got rid of the unreliable engine from the SD50 and replaced it with the good-old 16-cylinder SD40 engine.
Thanks for the D.D.O.T's, had to laugh, Mrs J.T feeding the 🐕 dog, it just doesn't taste right 😂❤ a great age to be that nieve!

You bet!
That rail is a year younger than I am. 6325 must been one of the former Altoona area helpers.
😅whe calling the traindrivers here respect ful,Masters.they are the big boss on the train, absolutely.😅and they waving always.😅
Good job on the video. You always have some good information
You should come to Elmore Street in Crawfordsville Indiana! Great place to film a train
JT, Thanks for sharing ... I also love the history tours. Have you seen Shoestring lately?
Great Catches
Norfie came all the way down out of that tree just to be with you!
Every gondola in service on the NS must be rolling in Indiana it seems…
You should go to connersville and see the last two operating lima hamiltons
Semaphore seems to be a remnant of the interlocking. Norfie coming down from the tree: you may now preform skritches hoomon.
Excellent video JT!!!
Choo-choo - Yeah Baby.
