I’ve always wanted a laminator. I always come up with things I could use it for. This would be great for putting foil onto cards I plan on making with my Cricut. I received an Amazon gift card and I didn’t know what to use it for. I bought the laminator, and used the coupon code. No out of pocket cost and a new fun toy for me!!! Thank you as always!
New to me! I have a laminator from teaching and was going to give it away! Loved this video girl one of the most relevant & naturally presented sponsored videos I have ever seen! ❤❤❤
Wow, that is incredible Liz! Such great ideas. Perhaps you could also keep the used reactive foil (with the image cut-out) to make another sign, meaning that you would have a teal sign with a clear image of the mermaid. TFS 🤗
Wow! I don't have one and wondered how they work. Can you put these on shirts, etc. ? Can you show more information on what you do after your items are done?
You could always use a hot iron,a tea towel between the laminating pouches and the very hot iron seals it no steam though turn that off, hope that helps till your giving a laminator for mother’s day
Thanks just bought me another laminator because i love the cutting figures on this one and when you are a preschool teacher you cant have to many laminators.
This is a great idea! I have the same laminator but the brand is “ABOX” 🤔 Just used it to laminate my son’s varsity letters. It’s his last year in high school and I want to make sure those last “forever” ❤️
OMGosh I have a laminator but I really NEED this one...lol okay maybe I don't really need it but I sure do want one. Thank you for showing us this I will be picking one up. Have a great day.
That’s so cool! Your screen went dark at the reveal of the foil sign so I couldn’t see the finished product. I love laminated glasses. I the preschool I laminated all the pieces in the kids games to keep them from tearing or dog earring at the edges.
This is sooooooo cool!! I see a lot more projects in my future doing this. Expecially since I'm one who doesn't own a fancy cricut machine. Seems all the cool projects need a laser printer 😒 thanks for showing us this!
I love sketching my own work and I'm wanting to go up a level by putting the foil on top of it.. Is there a way you can do that with the foil and laminator??
I would take your sketch to a laser printer to make a copy of it. Then placing foil on top of your laser copy, I would then run that through your laminator.
A laser printer uses toner, which is a substance that is heated and melted to stick to the paper on a printed document. Reheating this toner (to make it sticky again) is what makes the foil stick to the paper. An inkjet printer uses ink, which won't stick anything to anything.
You should use a protective sheet (just plain paper works) over the foil so it doesn't wrinkle and get stuck in your machine.
You can also use your laminator to to make stencils!! That's what I use mine for the most!
Brittney Jordan 😱😃What, stencils!?!!?! I love that idea but please how do you do that??
Really ? How do you do that
How? So interested to know

Thanks Cheryl!
Super cool that you can do all that!!! TFS
Thanks Pam!
Awesome ideas! My laminator came with a separate paper cutter and edge trimmer. I love your model. I think I will pick one up. Thanks... 😁

Great idea!
Excellent video!! Thanks for all the details and projects!
Hi Joanne Richardson! Thanks so much for watching my video. 😊
That’s why I’m trying to figure out do I really need a laminating machine ?
I will assume that ink jet printer won’t work for this? This is very cool!
Only works with laserjet printers as the heat melts the toner and the foil sticks to it - with inkjet there is nothing to melt
Wow! I don't have one and wondered how they work. Can you put these on shirts, etc. ? Can you show more information on what you do after your items are done?
Nice I don't have a laminator but now I can put it on my list for Mother's Day. 😊
Perfect!

it is super cool, thank you for sharing:) Do you know how to use the cold bottom
on the laminator?
I have a laminator. I am interested in seeing what else you can come up with. I love the foil idea.
Thanks Pamela!
Can we just use a pigment ink printers or a mono chrome printer is essential for this?
What a nice idea Liz. Got to show my grandchildren, they have the laminator. But that’s a great idea. Thanks
Cool, now I need a laser printer 😉
Thanks for sharing 😄💖
Thanks for watching!
Can you use this idea with an ink jet printer?
How do you get the foil to stick only to the area of the picture and not the whole paper? I'm new to this...appreciate any help

😱 OH MY LORD IN HEAVEN!
U use normal paper or special paper for it can I use the normal laminate machine?
Great!
New suscriber.
Hi, thank you for that video, can I know, if there is a special, brand for the foil
You will need to buy 'toner reactive foil' - try 'Pretty Things' brand
Luster sheet can be foil?
Glossy paper can be foil?
Did you used laser paper for printing the mermaid?
Could you use an iron and get the same results?
WOW !!!! 5 Stars !!!!! John
Hello John John! Thanks for finding my channel. Stay tuned for more fun DIY videos. ❤️

Thanks so much!
Cool. This idea is really old..... Been doing this for years
do you have to use a lazer printer? can a inkjet be used?

Do you need specific printer for images?
Very nice
Without a carrier?
I’ve always wanted a laminator. :) thanks for sharing. xo
Does the paper matter for the foiling
Omg! Mind blown. Can I use any laminator? I have a cheap one....
Yes u can I have a cheap one and it works
Yes!
Love the foil idea. Can u use a inkjet printer? I don't have a laser printer.
No inkjet won't react with the foil.
does the foil only stick to laser prints? how about inkjet?
Only works with laserjet printers as the heat melts the toner and the foil sticks to it - with inkjet there is nothing to melt
I wondered if I can do it with my Laminator I got from Walmart
You can have a try. Good luck! 💕
Do you have a laser printer?
Hi... love this idea! Thanks so much! Can you please tell me where you found the mermaid & I love us print-out? TIA :)
I just went to google and typed in mermaid svg file
Do you know if it would work with an inkjet printer?
I don't think the foil reacts with inkjet.
Only laser printer ??
Only works with laserjet printers as the heat melts the toner and the foil sticks to it - with inkjet there is nothing to melt
Why make this? Why no print in final paper?
Why Lasar Printer vs Inkjet Printer?
Lora, The inkjet won't react with the foil. Liz
A laser printer uses toner, which is a substance that is heated and melted to stick to the paper on a printed document.
