Borax or washing soda might good testing ideas as well.
Great! I will add them to my viewer suggestion list!
I vote for testing Borax too! ❤
I really wish you had more views, what you do is not only interesting, it’s useful. I really appreciate the time and resources you use to educate us. And since I’m a housekeeper, these are perfect for me choosing the right products. Thank you!
I appreciate your kind words. I do hope I can get more views! Hopefully youtube will continue to put me in front of viewers! I am glad you are here!!
Agreed. I just found your channel. I’m a house cleaner and I love to know what products my customers are working or not! Could you do other types of Lysol. Like sprays and concentrates and some seventh generation products? I’d also love to know how you incubate your test plates. Thanks!
I will add more lysol prodcuts to my viewer suggestion list! I have tested a few 7th generation products but am happy to test some more! I incubate my petri dishes in a small incubator. Thanks for watching!!

I tested the 7th Generation Toilet Bowl Cleaner with Petri dishes- does it remove bacteria? ruclips.net/video/CruwfM_iQAI/видео.html
@@FieldOfFocus Don't worry, I found Ya! And shared your video! I got you girl! 😉
This one smells soooo much better than the Lysol competitor ones. Great video!
It does smell more floral! Glad you like this one! Thanks for watching!
Another great test!
Thank you for your continued support! 😊
Great video.
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it!
Thank you for your videos! After watching your other laundry sanitizer videos this I'm deciding to go with this one. I like how I can just add it to the fabric softener compartment unlike the other ones. Also extremely helpful video super engaging.
Thank you so much for watching! I appreciate it! Glad these videos have been helpful for you!
I love watching your videos! I recently had to change up my toilet bowl cleaner for my housekeeping business. Sometimes, it's hard to buy in bulk because of pricing and availability. I normally use the Zep Acidic toilet bowl cleaner because it works great. But lately it has been harder to find in the gallon jugs. I switched to ECOLAB's toilet bowl cleaner. And it seems to work okay. It isn't as thick as the Zep. I would love it if you could test it. ECOLAB makes a whole line up of products, as I said, I love Zep and Odorban they are what I use mostly. Have a great day. As for the sanitizers, some Casteel soap or borax are my go-to for laundry. We do use the Clorox sanitizer it seems to work well. After seeing this test I'm confident it works better than the Lysol and is more price appealing.
I have had my eye on Ecolab products for a while...so they are on my list! Thank you for the kind words and I appreciate your support!
❤ Thank you for doing this video, I use Clorox Sanitizer use to use Lysol Sanitizer when I heard that Clorox brand is better I switched.
You are welcome! I am glad you found it helpful!
Thank you for having this video up. Clorox became my next laundry sanitizer choice now that I can’t find oxiclean’s in store anymore!
ooh I am glad this video was helpful to you!
I doing you channel looking up how to use Castile soap - different uses at home and personal care. Lives your video on how well it fjeaba too. I subscribed instantly. This is my kind of channel! I just realized in. Not using Thai Clorox disinfectant correctly. I’m lazy when it comes to reading instructions. How funny would it be if you had a lazy sister and you went to her hous with your Petri dishes to show the difference in outcomes. 😂
I am glad you are enjoying my videos! I do think it is important to read how products are supposed to be used in order for them to work effectively! :)
Hi, your videos have helped me so much before I was cleaning my house with vinegar or rubbing alcohol but without cleaning with soap and water first you opened my eyes that both needs to be done. I enjoyed your video on 91% alcohol but would love to see how much bacteria 70% Alcohol kills as I have read its a better option for disinfecting. Thanks 😊😊❤❤
Glad my videos are helpful! I have 70% alcohol on my list! Thank you for watching and commenting!
She even tests with no harsh chemicals. Like ammonia and parabens.
I absolutely love love love the scent. It smells floral Clean not like any specific flower though. I add citric acid to it to remove any soap residue and hard water minerals.
Right, I can't pin point the flower! Thank you for watching and commenting!
I would love to see videos of non toxic ways to kill germs. I am moving away from laundry soaps and rinse aids that have perfume or any types of fragrance. I also would love to see if spraying straight vinegar on fabrics sofa, curtains, throw pillows ect because that's what I have been doing not sure if it works. If my little one has been sick woth strep I use alcohol in a spray bottle on the soft surfaces but that smells toxic so I try to stick to white vinegar would love of you could test that too thank you so much. I would be very grateful. Hope you and your loved ones are great. Take care.
Vinegar (5% acetic acid) is a weak germ killer and possibly can only be effective on certain forms of bacteria(like tuberculosis) and seems to work only on hard surfaces--it also needs to sit on the surface for at least 30 minutes to be effective. Maybe the 20- or 30% variety would be more effective but this could also be too irritating to the skin.
Thanks I have herd that and then herd it does disinfect thats why I would love to see it tested. Also herd it kills ecolli and that is a win to me being that we are washing undergarments.
@@pandoravictoria9541 From what I've read it only partially disinfects and then only on hard surfaces if left for 30 minutes. Vinegar would be useless i a washer because it attenuated by all that water. I'm afraid that you'll have to stick to bleach!
All fantastic ideas!!!!!!!!!!! Have you looked into Force of Nature? I think you would like it. I made one video a while ago and next Wed March 6 I am releasing a more comprehensive video testing all sorts of situations! Does Force of Nature (Hypochlorous Acid) Remove Bacteria from My Home? - VIEWER REQUEST! ruclips.net/video/xckLulPmoEE/видео.html
@@FieldOfFocus It looks good but there's a considerable start-up cost
I add a few cups of vinegar, not sure if it does anything but makes me feel better about using a detergent.
I am in the process of testing vinegar as a rinsing agent so stay tuned!
Would love to see the difference using cold water for sanitizers !
Will add that to my viewer suggestion list! Thanks for watching!
What about air drying in the sun? Its supposed to be a goood disinfectant.
She's done that already: ruclips.net/video/MioFTSuBQHA/видео.html. It does appear to work pretty well
YES I tested that Nov 2022! Here is the link Washing & Drying in the SUN to Remove Bacteria? -VIEWER REQUEST- Tested w/Petri dishes! ruclips.net/video/MioFTSuBQHA/видео.html
Thank you!!!
Will you please test Downey “Rinse and Refresh”? This is a product that’s supposed to replace fabric softener
I will add Rinse and Refresh to my viewer suggestion list! Thanks!
Hi, I am new here but have been watching all your videos they are fantastic and very helpful. I would love to see how well white vinegar kills bacteria in laundry because I have been looking for a non toxic way to remove bacteria from laundry. I have been using vinegar in my fabric softener dispenser but not sure that is enough to kill germs as ots only about 3.oz when I remember I run down and put 1/2 cup to 1 cup in the rinse cycle but time gets away from me and I don't always do so. I would love to see both methods how well it kills or doesn't kill bacteria. New subscriber here love your content.
I have the same question.
@@sandygeddry724 that would make a very interesting video. Hope she does it. 🤞🤞
Hi there! I have vinegar to laundry on my viewer suggestion list.. I am doing the best I can to get through all the suggestions. I have over 1000 viewer suggestions! There is so much to test!!!! I appreciate your support thank you for watching and subscribing!
@@FieldOfFocus fantastic. Can't wait. No worries you sure have alot on that list.
Will you please review the Calgon powerballs? These are supposed to be used in the washing machine with the wash cycle to make hard water soft and as a laundry booster. I have well water and a water softener but my water is still somewhat hard. My clothes are always crunchy after washing them. I don’t use softener because it kept damaging my washing machine. My technician kept warning me against softener. Thank you!
I will add the calgon powerballs to my viewer suggestion list! Sounds like an interesting product!!! Thank you!
I use castile aswell around the house
YES. so that is like Dr Bronners - one of my very first videos Testing Dr Bronner's Castille Soap: How Well Does it Disinfect My House???? ruclips.net/video/ydUq1yLt6ZI/видео.html
@@FieldOfFocus yes I watched this video it was great. I binge watched so many of your videos I did watch the one on vinegar aswell.
Can rubbing Alcohol or white vinegar be used straight without diluting to kill bacteria
I did test full strength vinegar in this video (surface cleaning, not laundry) Testing Vinegar! What Removes Bacteria Better:Full Strength, 50/50 Dish Soap or 50/50 Water?? #clean ruclips.net/video/9CKWda1vW5Q/видео.html
Hello! Can you try disinfecting with dish soap and vinegar and essential oil all together but as wipes? Instead of wiping 5 mins after?
I will add that to my viewer suggestion list. Do you prepare the solution and soak paper towels? Any particular ratio soap to vinegar?
@@FieldOfFocus I prepare the solution first. I use 1 1/2 cup vinegar and 1 cup dish soap with 12 drops of lavender, 10 drops tea tree and 10 drops cedar wood. Also is there anyway you could also do a test after with 2 tsp of 70% iso alcohol in the solution to see if that would make a difference? Im very curious but im also being cautious to add it.Since i exposed myself to about 20-50 wipes a day of 65% alcohol wipes for about 3 years straight. So now im trying to rarely ever expose myself to it now. But i would really appreciate it if you tested this so i can have peace of mind since i suffer from ocd.
Try activated hydrogen peroxide
I will add that to my viewer suggestion list! Thanks for watching!
Could I just use white vinegar?
I haven't tested white vinegar in the washing machine yet so I cannot say yet.. but it is on my list of things to test! Thanks for watching!
iwow no bacteria at all im gonna look for the rags usedwith tide i mean washedwith tide
This sanitizer did a great job! Thanks for watching!
