    These anti pinch sensors have been around forever. My 2007 highlander has them. After installing weather tech in channel guards the window kept rolling down when i used the auto roll up. I tried reseating the guard, resetting the windows, and applying silicon spray but no luck. Weather tech advised i keep the window shut for 24 to 48 hours for the channel to become set and expand to the accommodate the new girth.
    Low and behold, their suggestion worked. I was getting ready to pull them and return.
    Before calling WT I was searching for a fix so now youtube algorithm thinks i have a rain guard fetish which is how i stumbled across this.

    I have this same Ford truck (2017 model) and you solidified 2 things for me with this video.
    1) I need to go with stick on rain guards. I like the look of them and seeing it on your video helped me with that and
    2) I need to upgrade my grill to the raptor style 😅 I’m sure my wife will be pleased with that purchase for sure 😂🤣
    So thank you for this video! SUPER helpful beyond what you videoed for LOL

    Looks good. I have a 20 F150 and the Weather Techs that I put in last month are now out and on the way to the landfill. What AVS are those ones? I'm considering the AVS 92971 but I'm trying to find out what they look like on a modern truck.

      @@LivinWith3M ok. I have a truck that I've had stick on ones since 2014 and they havent come loose yet either. My wife wants some on her Rav4. I like the looks of the in channel but, have had my doubts about possible problems with them. I've wondered about if it messes up the seal long term and causes problems with leaks too.

    Those are actually not installed right. You do know they are supposed to be mounted to the paint per the instructions. That’s why you have the gap where the tab mounts at the mirror. I have these exact ones for my 2020 super duty. Good looking truck though 👍

    • @LivinWith3M
      @LivinWith3M  Год назад +8

      You are right sir. Yep, they should be mounted up a slightly on the paint. That would fix the small gap. I moved them down so the black / red would flow better color wise. You are actually the first person to ever notice that. Haha. Good eye bro. 👍🏻🤝🏼🍻

    • @anthonyc993

      Actually, on my 2000 Ford F250 Super Duty the instructions for the Original VENTVISOR are to scuff up the rubber molding a bit and stick on the VentVisors to the rubber strip and not the paint. Another video the guy had the same instructions for his 2016 Ford F250 put chose to stick them on the paint in case he wanted to change out the rubber molding.The installation on the truck here in the video looks great. Nice looking truck! ✌️🇺🇲

      @@cjsoutdoors4412 on the newer fords they get mounted to the paint. The tab by the mirror is supposed to tuck behind it. Unfortunately that tab pushes the plastic out and looks like crap. I’m sure the older fords that’s how they wanted it to be done.

      @@anthonyc993 ..Right, on my little 2003 Toyota Tacoma they're mounted on the paint as well as per instructions. They sure are nice to have to be able to crack the window a bit, let in a little air but keep the rain and excessive wind out. ✌️🇺🇲

    Whoever installed the end channel, they pushed them too far up into the channel. If you trip that automatic wonder go down because the wonder can’t go all the way up. All you Gotta do is pull them down a little bit and it will solve the problem. that’s what I had to do, I’ve had to stick an aggravated with them for years they blow off going down the interstate you go to a car wash to car wash tears them off I will only run in channel Grayson peace

      @LivinWith3M Had the same issue on my 2021. The first few weeks would roll back down after a while the glass reshaped plastic edges. One however had to be custom trimmed 😅 and still gives me issues. Luck of the draw some of the rubber insulation is not always aligned properly to begin with.

    • @LivinWith3M

    • @adambutson5466

      If you install then correctly (tabs on the ends do not go in the channel, they go on the outside) there are no issues.

      @LivinWith3M  Год назад +3

      Exactly the way they are supposed to be installed. We agree on that. Then 4 out of 10 times you roll the window up it wants to roll back down. Im not going to argue my point anymore.
