  • Prime Fitness KAZ Handles are a very unique cone shaped D-Handle that is going to feel good in the hands!! KAZ Handles are very versatile because not only can you do any exercise you'd be able to with a normal D-Handle, but you also have the added versatility of being able to do hammer curls, tricep pushdowns, and face pulls with these as well. You can either choose large or small depending on your hand size. The Prime Fitness KAZ Handles are going to be another very versatile pair of handles that you can add to your home gym.

    Great review! In your reviews you do a really good job of explaining things and video editing to demonstrate your talking points. Well done! I have the Cone Grips which can achieve similar functionality. I definitely feel a difference in how hard my forearms have to work when using them for pull ups.

      Thank you for the feedback, greatly appreciate that. I do like these handles but I’ll be honest, it took sometime to get used to them due to the shape. Now after months of using them, I finally can say I enjoy rotating them in my training weekly

  • @liftsalty

    I've had the large for years. They are probably my least used attachment. Very high quality; I just don't think they provide noticeably unique training stimulus over a $10 rubberized d-handle or straps.

    • @GoreckiFit
      @GoreckiFit  Год назад +2

      Yeah I don’t think they provide a unique stimulus, just are supposed to feel better in your hands, kind of like a mouse designed ergonomically for your hand when using a computer. I do like you can use them like you would a tricep rope but your right, I haven’t noticed any different stimulus compared to the handles I got with my life fitness trainer. Just another high quality set of a bit more versatile D-handles.

    Bought the small handles. The build quality is superb. Initially, I used them in all sorts of ways. But now a few months later, I hang them semi-permanently on my pull-up bar for neutral grip pull-ups. Not so thick that grip becomes the weak link but thick enough that I get the ‘irradiation’ effect. I am getting my $125 worth.

      Glad to here you are getting your money’s worth. I primarily used them for bicep curls at first while I got used to the feel and then moved to rows, tricep push downs and face pulls. Definitely a pair of great handles!!

      Yeah, I used to be a machinist so I understand the process of making something like these and if they use smaller stock, it would be less to manufacture the smaller ones.

    Nice review. I like everything you do, especially everything I've learned about the prime specialty equipment. What size would you recommend? Is there a big difference? The width of my hand (4 fingers together) measures 4" horizontal. The length from the base of my hand to the tip of my middle finger measures 7". Thank you.

    • @GoreckiFit
      @GoreckiFit  Год назад

      Thank you!! So this is a personal preference but the dimensions you have for your hand is 1 inch wider than mine and the length is roughly the same as mine. So when you look at that clip where I show my hand for the large, does that look like it would be comfortable for you? The dimensions are 2 inches at the top and and 2.5 inches bottom. So if you like thicker grip training, like if you’ve used fat grips before you might like the large. Personal preference I’d go with smaller because I feel like it’s more comfortable and I can securely grip the handle better. Again, some might like the smaller handle and some might like the larger, very difficult decision to make unfortunately because it’s highly dependent on personal preference.

      @@GoreckiFit Thanks again, and especially for the prompt and thorough reply. Prime makes some very nice equipment. I'm about to change from the MAG handles to something else from prime. Keep up the good work. It's always very informative and a pleasure to watch. I will go with the small as well. I'm not a big guy, 5' 9", and I think the large would be better suited for the those who are 6' plus and big. Thanks again!

    Hey Tim, me again. You sold me on the Kaz Handles. Truthfully, they sold themselves; however, you presented them fairly, squarely, and extraordinarily well. You have credibility from my perspective. I'm a retired and fit Police Chief and Trooper in my mid 60's. The (commerial) gym continues to be my second home. Quick question: Can I use the Kaz Handles with the Prime Short Bar? Any noteworthy pros or cons? Thanks again!

    • @GoreckiFit
      @GoreckiFit  Год назад

      Hey Thomas, thanks for the nice words. You can definitely use the Kaz handles w the short bar, as the short bar comes with 3 carabiners and 2 swivels. You can clip them in the provided carabiners to use as D-handles, so you can do rows, biceps curls, even lat pulldowns. If the pulley system is high enough, you can unlink one end and use like I did in the video for hammer curls and tricep push downs as well. The short bar only has one down fall and that’s ROM for some exercises due to the carabiner combined with swivel does hang down quite a bit, but as long as the pulley is high enough you should be good.

      @thomasc4777 Год назад +2

      Thanks again, Tim. Your attention to detail is very much appreciated.

    • @GoreckiFit
      @GoreckiFit  Год назад

      @@thomasc4777 the short bar comes with the 2 large oval carabiners too and that’s how you will adjust the different lengths. You can see how the carabiners and swivels cause the attachments added to hang low so the higher pulley is necessary for some exercises.

    If you had to make a choice between the rogue or Kaz handles which would you choose 1st? I have total gym good quality plastic handles with strap but with curls rub on my knuckle.

    • @GoreckiFit
      @GoreckiFit  Год назад +1

      I’d probably go with Rogue because they are a nice D-handle with passive knurl and feel very premium when doing all exercises. The Kaz handles I’d classify as a specialty pair of handles and might not be the best for an all purpose handle but there are a lot of people that enjoy them for everything so it’s definitely a lot of personal preference.

    Nice dude. Went ahead anfbsubbed! Good review videos for sure. I noticed you have a life fitness functional trainer, is that preferable to your prime fitness single stack? I am in the market for a cable machine (single stack is good), and can't decide on the prime fitness single stack or this other one made by Bolt fitness named Archer single stack--it is 1500 vs 4k for the prime. Something is telling me to stay away from Chinese equipment though...

    • @GoreckiFit
      @GoreckiFit  Год назад +1

      Thank you!! So the functional trainer is great for most exercises (only 160lb stacks w 2:1 ratio) but I wanted to upgrade my lat machine (have a plate loaded Body Solid) for 7 years and looked at a ton of different types of selectorized units and most were either too tall for my basement gym or came fully assembled and I’d die trying to get it downstairs 😂. So after some research and talking to people with the HLP rack from Prime, I went with them because not only would I get the 1:1 ratio for the top and a 350lb stack, but I’d also get the bonus of an adjustable pulley(2:1) which would come in handy because I workout w my gf and she loves the functional trainer. If budget isn’t a problem I’d say go with Prime, otherwise I did hear good things about Titans Lat Pull-down from Coop and a few other but it is manufactured overseas and I heard it’s a pain to assemble and of course, quality is hit or miss with Titan Fitness but I heard it’s improving. Personally Prime Fitness is commercial, made in the USA and you can’t go wrong. Hope this helps.. let me know what you chose and how it goes!!

    If you are going to machine the larger handle as compare to a smaller handle basically you are going to use almost the same amount aluminim billet plus not to mention a smaller handle would probably takes a little bit more time to machine them than the larger handle so probably this is the reason why it has the same price

    • @GoreckiFit
      @GoreckiFit  Год назад +2

      Hi Jimmy, in the past I was a CNC machinist and really they should be using different bar stock to make the smaller ones. It’s gonna be more effective and require less material removed. Seeing these were turned on a CNC turning center, I don’t think it took more time to make the smaller compared to the large. Just different tooling really but same process. So it should cost less but I don’t know their exact machining process so it’s all speculation. It could be exactly like you said, they used the same bar stock to machine the small and large and that’s why the price is the same.

    These vs Rogue handles. Which do you recommend picking up?

    • @GoreckiFit
      @GoreckiFit  Год назад +1

      Personal preference really, if I didn’t have any other handles, I’d go with Rogue because it’s just a very simple D-handle with nice passive knurl that feels great. You can just clip and go. These might take some time to get used to and you might not like the cone shaped design if your used to regular D-handles.
