    **Handle Material**
    Prime Fitness just got back to me. The handles are steel and they are coated in a material called Plastisol.

    Product is worth the price as you can change the grip from a pronate position, neutral, supinated and semi pronate without having change the attachment.

    thanks for the great reviews. can you do fully pronoted pull down for upper back or do you need a longer bar?

    • @GoreckiFit
      @GoreckiFit  2 года назад +1

      I feel it’s a great length for doing fully pronated pull downs and rows but it definitely comes to personal preference and size. Someone with a wider frame might benefit more from a longer bar and get a better contraction compared to this shorter bar. I’d recommend you check out Coach Kassem, he does a great job breaking down this handle and he’s a bigger guy then me so it might be more beneficial to hear his take on it. Hope this helps!!

    What are your thoughts on the handles with the long bar? Would you recommend this or the long bar with handles. Thanks.

    • @GoreckiFit
      @GoreckiFit  2 года назад

      So it depends, if you are trying to do Lat pulldowns, that long/short bar with the ROT8 handles requires a lot of height on your machine, compared to this one. Overall thoughts, if you have the height, you can’t beat the ROT8 handles w either a short or long bar due to versatility. You can’t go wrong with either, but the ROT8 handles w short/long bar is the most versatile, just sadly height of machine plays a big role in using those.

    Hi! Does the knock off versions or the original become unstable when using heavier weight?

    • @GoreckiFit
      @GoreckiFit  4 месяца назад +1

      Can’t speak for knock off versions but these are solid and don’t feel unstable at all. I’ve only went up to 175lbs and everything felt good.

    Hey Tim, I need your recommendation in deciding between the RO-T8 4N1 or the RO-T8 Handles and short bar. Cost is the same. 4N1 is 20", the short bar is max 18" width. Both ideal for my size. You've reviewed both. They'll be used for pulldowns and seated rows. I will have to take either one to the gym. I don't like changing the MAG handles every time I want a grip change. I'll be selling them. They're brand new. I don't have to do that with the 4N1. I don't want anything wider than 20", and I like the availability and ease of changing from neutral to pronated to supinated grips with 1 piece of equipment doing rows and pulldowns. But I think I can do that with RO-T8 handles too. I bought the KAZ handles and the Rogue handles that you recommended. My bag is getting heavy. This is my last purchase. Which of the 2 will likely benefit me the most? Thanks again.

    • @GoreckiFit
      @GoreckiFit  Год назад

      So really depends on the height of the pulley at your gym. The RO-T8 4N1 is gonna be ideal for pulling motions since you have the 4 different grips and it doesn’t hang very low. The problem w short bar with RO-T8 handles is they hang so low because they use those swivels. I don’t know if the height would be enough with the high pulley at your gym to get a full ROM if using the Short bar with RO-T8 so I’d say the safe bet is the RO-T8 4N1 handle.

    • @thomasc4777
      @thomasc4777 Год назад +1

      @@GoreckiFit Thanks Tim. I understand. I'll go with the 4N1. If I were to buy just the R0-T8 handles, is there anything unique that they do over the KAZ and the Rogue handles, the both of which I bought?

    • @GoreckiFit
      @GoreckiFit  Год назад

      @@thomasc4777 I think the RO-T8 handles are superior when it comes to pulling motions just due to the paddle design. I love Tricep push downs as well with them just as they feel very stable when doing them but that’s about it. The other exercises are just as good with any other handles. The biggest thing about the short bar w the RO-T8 is being able to adjust the different lengths so you can perhaps target a muscle better compared to the standard handle length of the RO-T8 4N1. For example, doing rows for the rhomboids, you can move the handles in on the short bar and really try and pull them apart when doing that row and get a good contraction because your physically trying to pull the handles apart otherwise for rows, you can’t go wrong with the RO-T8 4N1. I literally use that handle and now the Elite FTS American Multi Grip for almost all my back exercises minus I will use the RO-T8 handles for doing single handed pulling movements on my functional trainer too.

      Rogue handles are too thin imo. The 6inch and 14inch ROT8 prime handles are perfect. 20inch wide isn't necessary.

    • @GoreckiFit
      @GoreckiFit  Год назад

      I’d say the 4N1 because it’s a bit longer and will give you better ROM when doing rows. Coach Kassem did a great video about the main differences and that’s the main reason I choose this one over the 3N1 plus the extra grip variation.

    And also if i tighten the thingy that locks the handle, will it break the thread cuz it’s plastic?

    • @GoreckiFit
      @GoreckiFit  4 месяца назад

      I don’t see it breaking unless you are really cranking on that thing. I think the only part that is plastic is that knob, the rest is steel if I’m not mistaken. I showed a good close up I thought In the video but I’ve used this for 3 years now and it’s still working like the day I bought it. This is also used by way bigger guys than me at commercial gyms and N1 education runs workshops where they do different trainings and those guys beat the hell out of the Prime Fitness gear. Can’t say it will never break but I’ve had no issues with mine.

    Reminds me of CrossFit I don't have the grip strength so I'll use this bar and do lat pulldowns wrong, the right way

    • @GoreckiFit
      @GoreckiFit  2 года назад +1

      This attachment still requires a hook grip so your still training grip strength to a certain degree, just not focused on it while your trying to target your back muscles. Grip strength can be trained separately if that’s your goal.

    Is there any way to get a normal handle on these accessories? I have the ROT8 grip and there is no way to put a strap on there. If you are going to row heavy weights , your grip will give out without grip straps ...

    • @GoreckiFit
      @GoreckiFit  Год назад

      Unfortunately no, there isn’t anyway to get those ROT8 grips off that I know of. The only solution is to buy some normal handles and maybe something like the Gym Pin Pro D handle bar but that is gonna cost additional money.

  • @Visiblyblue
    @Visiblyblue Год назад +1

    Can you adjust the handle angles by just unscrewing and lifting up the handle to move it around to a different hole?
    I ask because the knockoff version on Amazon requires you to unscrew the handle , completely take off the handle and reorient it backwards to change some of the grip angles (it's incredibly annoying). So if we can change angles without lifting that handle completely off, that'd be amazing

    • @GoreckiFit
      @GoreckiFit  Год назад +1

      I tried to show it on one of my clips, the wing nut type screw doesn’t physically come off. So you unscrew it, lift up on the handle and turn it to the angle you’d like, then tighten it. So yes, just unscrew, lift up, move to the correct grip variation and tighten it down.
