    I have the short bar and the long bar as well as other prime fitness attachments. The handles are amazing. I also have the gym pin d handle bar. Honestly the gym pin bar is better than the prime fitness long and short bar. It has more connection points. And you would only need one as it can be a long and short bar. Says a lot since you buy a lot of things and have unpacked a lot of equipment over the years. AND it is difficult sometimes with the height of things. I’ve found the best way to get full extension on pull downs using the handles is to use an incline bench at a distance from the machine such as Coach Kassem and N1 teach. In fact, this is how I do all my pulldowns now.

      Thank you! I have not used that exact machine, but I have a review for the Powertec Streamline Functional Trainer where I show some lower body exercisers. I am not a fan of using a Functional Trainer for lower body training, but if that’s all you have, it’s gotta work. You can do standing leg ext., and curls. If you have a bar that runs between the stacks, you can do squats, donkey calf raises, seated calf raises. Again, none of these are ideal on a FT, but will work. If you watch my Levergym series, some of those hacks can be applied to a functional trainer. If you are tight on space, but can get a bench in there, I would get the Ironmaster Super Bench Pro which can accept a ton of attachments and it’s light and easy to store.

    Great content and hacks, I have both a Body-Solid Leverage Machine and a Powertec Lat Machine. The Powertec is about 82" tall and the Body-Solid is probably roughly about the height of the Powertec Leverage Machine, would I be able to use the Prime Spreader Bar on these systems without any issues since the spreader bar is long and the machines are shorter?

    • @HomeGymHacksandReviews
      @HomeGymHacksandReviews  2 года назад

      Thank you! With lat Pulldowns, it might be tough unless you sit back and away from the machine rather than directly under the pulley. You should be good for Pushdowns, Rows, Face pulls, etc. The length of the spreader is about 21” so measure down from the pulley on those machines to see how low it hangs in relation to your body.

    I have a functional trainer with low weight stacks (165 lbs on both sides at 2:1 ratio, for a real weight of 82.5 lbs). I use them for lat/low rows with a gym pin. But that weight is starting to be low. I am thinking of getting a long bar to connect the 2 sides. Then a pull down or low row attachment to the center hole on the long bar. Any thoughts on this potential setup? I believe this is similar to REP Fitness ARES lat/low row stack setup where they double the weight by connecting the 2 stacks.

    • @HomeGymHacksandReviews
      @HomeGymHacksandReviews  Месяц назад

      I would go with the Bar and Handles due to greater versatility. The handles can be used for pressing and single arm exercises whereas the Spreader can not. Also, with the bar and handles there is greater adjustability.

    I was thinking of getting one but I think I'm still going to stick to my knockoff mag grip since I'm not convinced of its durability. This looks way too fragile and has too many loose bits to be transported and used in a commercial gym.
    The only reason why I need to get a bar for the lat pulldown is because the one provided at my commercial gym sucks. The Matrix Fitness Lat pulldowns machines and its bars are so horribly designed that it doesn't suit the average human anatomy. I swear the bars designed for someone with chimp limbs

      I sold all these about a year ago. I just found myself using the GymPin D Handle, Angles 90 Grips, and my straight bar more than anything. Like you said, I wouldn’t want to transport these in and out of a commercial gym.

      @@HomeGymHacksandReviews haha ya also do you think I could fit both the powertec lever gym and the iron master 2000 into one say approx. 80 to 100sft room comfortably? my garage in Canada here is damn cold in winter haha so working out now kinda sucks ...currently my garage gym has both in the space which occupies one car slot (2 car garage) with some adjustable dumbbells and 2 benches one being the work bench

      @@aynrandfan7454 it would be super tight even if they both fit. My bedroom gym is 143 square feet and I’m not sure I would want them both in that space. I would get the measurements for both machines and put markers on the floor to see how it lays out. You may only be able to move one.

    Is there a warranty on this equipment? How durable are the ball socket designs going to last over the years? If it's this expensive, there should be a good warranty

    • @HomeGymHacksandReviews

      I don’t see warranty info on Prime’s page. Everything feels very durable and made to last. I’ve never heard of anyone breaking a Prime product.

      @@thebestpaintballer I did a mini-review for the mag grip knockoffs in my video, My Top Pieces of Home Gym Equipment from $100-$200. I don’t think I’ll buy the real Mag Grips because the knockoffs are decent enough, but I’ve gotten to the point I rarely use them because I’m either using the Angles 90 Grips, the RO-T8 Handles, or the Ironmaster Ultimate Row Handle.
