This light would be a blessing for me in the workplace.I work for a company that houses at risk/ adjudicated youth. I work as a maintenance tech. A lot of emergency calls happen after hours. Whether it be a power outage to a broken window. To have this light handy would make my job so much easier working in the dark.
Congrats yours is the winning comment! Please reach out to hello@nitecorelights.com with this screenshot and we’ll walk you through the rest of the way 👍
And you might need protection
Get the P20ix it has self defense strobe mode and get this for your secondary light… ALWAYS carry two lights on duty in case one stops working or you drop it or break it etc
love how you dont hype up fake functions and tell us straight up what this flashlight can and cant do. definitely will be buying one in the future
This looks like a good choice for a backup and sort of always available light for duty purposes. Nice package with a lot of power when needed.
This light has always been on my wish list as it meets my needs as a small personal light, will stay in my pocket and will be used inside containers, hallways, room checking and office checking.
Sadly it's not waterproof 😢
Don't go swimming with it
@@eye1dry138 🤦🏼♂️
Website says weatherproof?
@@AeonsOfBlight only ip54 . That means not fully dustproof and it can only take water spray
This would be a perfect upgrade / replacement for my old TUP with port flap and display gone. Also finally going from micro USB to Type-C. Most significantly safety wise commuting late night. Hope I can get this blessing. Thank you for another awesome review!
20 years ago, tactical rechargeable lights lasted a max of 1 hour.
I carried 3 lights to make sure I got through a shift.
100 lumens was considered good then too.
Lights have come a long way.
Indeed it has! I’m not sure if the requirements have changed as well for guys to need so much brightness.
I didn't know that there was a different type without screen... loo,s good to me, going to have to save up for one..thanks for your time and the video
Been using the edc27 for sometime now. I keep it on me everyday as my go to personal protection in my clinic. This edc25 would be great backup or vice versa.
Been a fan of your reviews. Everything is well explained and very convincing.
Great looking light! I would use this all the time in server closets and crawlspaces for running cables.
Very good job of giving the consumer the info, thanks.
A great light for EDC definitely. Your points on the integrated battery, burst modes, light duration are spot on. People are quick to say it's bad when it doesn't fit their needs.
I currently run the EDC 27 and 35 for Aviation Maintenance and they absolutely are great. I gotta say I prefer the mixed beam with the EDC 25 compared to the EDC 27. What i would've liked was to see a physical lockout button like the EDC 33 and 35. But I completely understand we can't have it all.
Overall, I think it's a great light to add for my collection and use.
This will be good for my night hikes! Small and non bulky
Great video 📹 👍!!! I have been waiting for this light. 28 years of law enforcement experience taught me that you can never have too many light options ✨️ 💛! Thank you! Keep making great lights!
Wow, those smoky cam shots were 🔥 amazing content man 👏
This light is great tool to use in my line of work, because of concealability. I can teach people to use in self defense and also everyday task
I would use this for work AND EDC. It seems like an amazing platform! Love the videos!
Nice improvements in an already great light. I use EDC27 as my EDC. As a consultant, I travel frequently and I always take this light with me for being easy to use and for the tactical reasons/self defense. Since I already own the EDC27, the improvements are not enough to justify an upgrade, but make sense to buy the new version if you don't have any of them yet. The only improvement I am not a fan of is the single action button with a programmable action. I prefer the double action, this way I always have both options available, and don't have to remember what I programmed. Thanks for the great content!
Is it rechargeable?
Never stop developing new lights and never stop reviewing them❤
Very cool light. Would work great in any circumstance! Great for inspecting inventory where I work!
Nice one- I would use it for my nightly routine, checking the electricity power plant.
I just ordered the nitecore postol light ✨️ to review on the channel, its in the mail now
I would definitely use one of these for EDC/ navigating server racks
Very portable and very easy to carry. Nice to have on my work as i work indoors
I’m loving this light!
This light will be great to have when doing quick aircraft inspection at the apron area, slim and easy to carry by clipping to be trousers pocket, no need for holster. At home, I'll attach a lanyard and use it when walking the dog at nite. I'll even bring it overseas for vacations since it is easy to carry.
Love it! The indicators instead of the screen seems to me like the rigth path. Would love to have this light for my EDC, specially for long walks at night through the city.
Wow! This is definitely essential equipment for quick engineering checks. This would be very useful in my daily work. I usually use Tiki LE for that but the battery is not always enough...
Perfect light for every day quick use when doing aircraft safety checks on emergency quick response rescue flights and as a back up to my primary. Also would "shine" in security checks when getting in or out of vehicles especially in rural or sketchy areas.
I really dig the flat form factor for this EDC flashlight, and packing a 3000 lumens in such a compact-sized tool, awesome!
Tested this EDC25@ the roadshow yesterday. I love these buttons and the beam as compared to EDC27. Nice to meet you MJ and your team thanks for the wonderful explanation of each individual light function.
Awesome! Thanks for dropping by!
I need one in my life. Great video
Awesome light!! Ordering
This would be a light that would be on me at all times, one of the jobs I do is as a technician, and I have to move about in dark confined places sometimes and the slim profile is awesome.
I would love to try this new light out for my gun bag, or just EDC 🎉
heating up like crazy
I would use this light as my edc when I have to go to the UK as the flat design will be easy to carry and where I am has very little surrounding lights at night so this will come in very handy.
Another comment for the algorithm, im glad i found your channel because i love how brutally honest you are with explaining the light and its functions.. not just selling a product like its the best thing in the world and you can make it work for any situation when clearly things like this are made to play a certain role in your tool kit.. its not designed to be a full out carry flashlight to be used for hours at a time.. its perfect for my situation where i use my light a few times a night but when i use it its for a good reason..lol
Exactly that 👍
This is a fantastic light for my security checks during night shift and patrol. The best part is the light helps keep my carrier as slick as possible. I like the simple display that can be read quickly with colored indicators whereas the EDC27 relied on text that is very small. The EDC25 is a very interesting light.
I‘d use it daily for work!
I‘m a train conductor and in the morning it’s part of the routine to check the train from front to back and for that I need a good flashlight.
I think this is a great improvement over the EDC27 for two reasons, 1- the use of UHi leds for more efficiency and throw, and also a more neutral white over the SST40, and 2- the screenless design. I love screens on flashlights, but they are probably more useful in an EDC/enthusiast/civil flashlight rather than on a tactical one, where every extra piece that can break is a risk for the user. Great job on improving an already great product!
As a network administrator,I always need light for something. This would be a great light for working inside dark server racks and inspecting communication rooms.
I am a photographer and photography is all about light. I will probably use this light everyday. thank you
This torch would be perfect for me as I deliver at night in dark alleys and the slim design is perfect while carrying bulky trays to houses and flats and the easy buttons to adjust brightness levels would also be great for delivering in the rougher areas I have for self defence, I currently have the MH25 pro which is great but a little bulky once again great reviews 👌
Perfect light for me as an aircraft technician. Slim so it won’t get snagged when I’m going in tight spaces and that turbo is great to inspect the horizontal stabilizer. ❤🤙🏼
The EDC25 would be perfect for travel. I fly a lot and having something this thin would be amazing.
Looks like a great light.
This light is so slick, I would use it in my very dark workshop, and to walk home as my shop is in not a safe area. A super bright flash light is a good defense to buy you time to get away
Living off grid in the country. All flashlights are daily needs. And EDC😊🎅🏼
Pocket realty is important for me as i wear office slacks everyday,so this flat design will be a blessing for me
Oooh i like this. Might replace my p20ix for my main edc light
I’d definitely use it while working especially after I lost my edc 27 which is so upsetting
Hi I like your work it is very nice to have a good decription between several model . It is always short video not too long I appreciate that ! I my job I use Flashlight to make mecanical on military truck so I always use light. A nice EDC25 will be so perfect to improve my job.
Appreciate the feedback!
Great video once again, from the uk and work in the security industry! Had my eyes on these for a little while now so to win one would be a bonus! Keep the videos coming
I would love it for everyday carry!
And I agree with you on the built in battery. Seen so many comments gunning down the light cos it has built in battery.
exactly right, if built in is not suitable, just pick a non built in version. It's not the light's fault, it's just designed for a user that prefers built in.
9:38 Ya agree with the part on the built in battery. It all boils down to personal preference and need.
Though I prefer removable batteries, but built in batteries are totally acceptable for me when it comes to non-tubular form factors like the EDC25 and LR70.
I ❤ the instant strobe function.
Also ❤ the memory function
hell yeah I would use this. I'm a teacher and to see the darkness that the school board tries to put on my students!
You could use the protection too
I would love this light would be perfect for late night patrols and overnight guard shifts perfect profile and switches
This light is just perfect for me. In my line of work, it is light and compact. Giving me more flexibility moving around and easy access to the use with flexible selection of brightness with the intended usage and duration. Awesome!
I like the Olight ArkFlex more for EDC and work.
This is a pretty cool piece of kit... great UX interface and features, very fit for purpose. Given its small size, the integrated battery seems like a fair enough compromise.
I have edc 27 and I love it. They should have kept the screen and done a mechanical lock out like on some of their other lights
Was waiting for your review. I just bought the 27 and compared it with my MT2A, I’m still amazed by this latter one. 90g only, throw even more (not a flowder though) but I just love this little flashlight. To the point I might not keep the 27 for now. The MT2A is not perfect (lack of ergonomic with only one switch, no strobe) but the value of Lumens per grams is unmatched for me
this light will be good for me as i work as a AV crew and at times i need to do setup up or rectify problems in some tight and dimly lit area places. and with its slim and compact size it wont be a hindrance to me if i need to squeeze in some tight space.... i like the nice "Flood" too as it will serve me as a working light so i dont really need long throw and turbo boost.... 😃
That looks neat.
Looks like it could replace my olight for night shifts at work doing security and yard work.
The flatness looks great to lay flat.
Perfect for my edc chest sling.
Amazing light. Would be perfect for duties and inspections as a locomotive engineer at night.
Definitely a better edc form factor than classic lights, would use it on my motorcycle trips and of course every day
design is very important, oversized edc devices are a pain as the days goes on, so a good flat light is great. would use this constantly with evening job.
This Nitecore EDC25 would be a perfect light for targeted light painting for night shoots
I think this will be a bit better than the previous version, sometimes you need to shine at high brightness and press the whole switch and the strobe mod turns on, I used the previous version for about 3 months
This lite looks amazing. It’s a minimalist light that packs the punch of a full size duty light. Would fit right into my edc when not on duty.
That sums it up exactly right.
I currently carry the p23i for work, but the belt line holster can be bulky and is less ideal for more professional dress. I haven’t tried a slim profile light such as this, but I would like to. I like that it has lockout, low 15 lumen moonlight, and memory of last brightness.
cant wait to use this light, for camping purposes. Gonna show off to all my camper bugs
Sheeeesh man that’s a dope light for sure. I’m in the market to get one. I have one on my pistol but need and actual edc light 👏👏🤙🤙🥶🥶
Best light for security and law enforcement. Would have bought this if I hadn't purchased the P18.
What would you recommend as a replacement for the new petzl e lite +?
i am mostly in VIP and PEP protection active, the edc25 would be great for my black working suit's small left pocket.
Thin for the win... Thin EDC is essential as it lets you carry across a larger flat space so, an organiser in a suit side pocket. I am in IT and find this rather useful for cable risers, ceilings, etc. and extra useful for coming home after working late. The LED indicators are much better than any screens, this is a very good design indeed. If you carry advanced EDC in a suit and want to minimise bulk but can spread gear over the full width and depth of your pocket then this is ideal. I really like this.
The Nitecore EDC25 is a versatile tool perfect for your work. Its compact size and powerful output make it ideal for illuminating dark workspaces or conducting inspections in low-light conditions.
It aids you in completing tasks efficiently and safely, emphasizing its practicality and usefulness in your line of work.
i will definitely use it on my job as a security guard..not only for work but for edc as well..hope to have 1 for free..im only using a Mijomi J81..shout outs here from Phils..god bless👍🤟
I have no doubt these are good flashlights, in my opinion Nitecore builds quality gear.
I could definitely use that light. I love edc items that are usable at work but won’t get me fired like a firearm.
i think EDC25 will fit in my jeans. its slim, very light, rugged and easy to turn on strobe or turbo. convenient when your duty needs rush for example journalist, paramedic, inspector. just grab it then you go.
I use a light in my daily life it has changed so much in how I do things I currently use a wuben c3 but I have been wanting a flat light for a while as it would fit my kit so much better
I'm telling you nitecore is on to something with the edc lights as a mechanic this would be perfect for them tight spots
Great channel mate
Much appreciated!
This would be an awesome light for me in the events business. I am often having to navigate backstage or under stages during shows so I need a close quarters flashlight. The slip and discrete profile is also perfect because a lot of our events are corporate and a bulky torch doesn't fit into the formal dress code.
That’s an excellent use case right there, with formal dress code. Thanks for sharing this one!
This light would be a game changer. I work in the police in a very rural location and rely on lights when out looking for missing people or suspects. I need my lights to also be lightweight and easy to carry.
I will buy one if next version had strike bezel or something shape include with this edc light
I love that they fixed the Turbo button. Just wish they'd do something with the hugely protruding Power button. My EDC27 kept unlocking and turning on in my pocket. It happened so often I had to stop carrying it. The proximity sensor is a nice addition, but 500 lumens is still too much. Maybe it's enough to prevent getting my thighs set on fire when I'm driving, but it's still more than enough to attract looks from strangers at my lit up pocket (and it 100% will get hot over time - 500 lumens is not a sustainable output at this size, so it'll get as hot as temp control will alow). Just recess the button for god's sake.
Same reason I don't carry my 27. That button gets pushed by my belt or other stuff way too easily
A flashlight is just about the only defensives tool you can carry in Australia without cause for suspicion. Would be even better with a striking bezel and thumb ring. 😂
I got the edc27 and others, but I want to have his edcl25 as well.
Did this get upgraded to the glass lens?
EDC 27 is an indispensable tool for work. However even with the electronic lockout they need to fix the proximity sensor. Burned holes in 2 pairs of my 5.11 pants and it was bad. Charred shit. It’s a problem if you are sticking the flashlight on “lock” in a front pocket. Ordered a EDC 33 with the mechanical lockout to help.
Working in smrt I would love to get this torch since I can bring this anywhere especially when working around the dark tunnels
In the technical field. Crawling in attics and crawl spaces
This light would be an absolutely amazing asset to my edc kit, especially since I'm on the hunt for my very first edc light and because I live in South Africa where we have to deal with power cuts nationwide on a daily basis. These powercuts make daily tasks an absolute nightmare, and I would really appreciate being considered for the giveaway.
This new light would be amazing to use at the airport during the night shift and when inspecting things
