    Thank you, I am going to try your settings there, they look spectacular. Edited to add: It looks like a brand-new sim. I have done all kinds of performance enhancements but never realized how smoothly I was flying in a washed-out world, now I have the best sim of my life thus far. Thanks again.

    Been rocking the filters for sometime. Worth a note that depending on which order you add the filters will have a different impact on the grade.

    • @andrewbennett2582
      @andrewbennett2582 5 месяцев назад

      @MaxRank what do you mean regarding the order of adding filters and 'grade'?

    • @MaxRank
      @MaxRank 5 месяцев назад

      @@andrewbennett2582 if you add say color then brightness/contrast you will get a certain affect, but if you add them in the inverse order you can see different results. So depending on which order you add the filters can change the look in the sim. So if I provide my settings you must add them in the same order I have not just the tuning values to see the same effect.

    I never wanted to try it, but your video convinced me, I'm tired of editing my photos to correct the red/brown colors of msfs since the SU14... The effect is great, but I'm losing between 5 and 15 fps with the same settings (which are fine 👍). (Rtx4070ti)

    Good talk through. I use those filters but I normally go for tint 30-33% and intensitiy about 20%. But i'll have to give your settings a go as I hadn't considered the temp settng alone! And I don't understand why nvidia don't cloud save the settings!

    Great video. I remember playing with these a while ago and forgot why I turned them 'off'. I remember now, because after following your setup - the results of which made the sim look amazing! - my frames dropped by about 10 (to around 30) and more impactful...introduced stutters. I have a low end GPU (...which seems to get lower and lower on the low end scale with every sim update), specifically an RTX 2060 Super and have found I have to very careful wrt what graphics related tweaks I make. Having said that, given the improvement these filters make in the look of the sim, I might try playing with the individual sliders to see if I can get some level of improvement in the graphics without negatively impacting performance. Thanks for resparking my interest!

      @rtocarp 5 месяцев назад +1

      @@PsicoPete Well that was the nudge I needed to try the frame gen mod! I went through that whole procedure and did some test flights, which clearly showed a significant improvement in performance. I then applied the Nvidia filters, and while the frames did drop from their new and improved levels (..which was expected), I had NO stutters. I'm a happy camper 🙂

      If you have Frame Generation on this is the cause of the crashing when trying to use the Nvidia Filters. Sadly you can't use any of the after the fact processing stuff like Filter or Reshade. Otherwise it'll just crash after a few seconds.
      ***EDIT***
      I stand incorrect. After for so long I thought Reshade wasn't compatible with FrameGen. But since last week I've actually been using Reshade completely fine. Just do not use the ALT+ Enter shortcut for changing fullscreen/window as it will crash. But Nvidia Filters still to this date does not work with FrameGen.

    NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The developers at Asobo have worked incredibly hard to give us a proper rendering of Ozone scattering with the current SU14 patch release. If Asobo say the sky is supposed to be brown like it is now, then the sky indeed must be brown all the time in real life! It's not like these people simply tinted the atmosphere just so the sunsets and sunrises would be more brilliant and perhaps in the process shut the canaries on the official Flight Simulator forum up. No, rest assured Asobo spent the better part of ten years meticulously researching the chromatic color shifting that is a result of Ozone scattering in the real atmosphere. In fact, one member of the Asobo team spent two entire years in Antarctica researching Ozone scattering. Using this Nvidia filter is a slap in the face to the French Foreign Lesion that are Asobo Studios. I hope everyone reading this will reconsider use of post-processing filters and accept that Earth's atmosphere looks like Mars when Ozone has anything to do with it.
