Quick note, I'm loving the Velocity one stick now that I cut a third of the tension spring off it feels soooo much better, I'm not fighting the stick anymore and landings have improved immensely. For anyone not happy with the tight tension it's really east to fix, there is a video on it, the harder part is trying to cut the hardened spring. Cheers everyone!
The stiffnes is easely adjusted by opening the base and change out the spring for a lighter one. Just have to find a one thats fit. I use a spring for a RC car. Did you know there is 2 rumbelmotors in the base, one in the stick and one in the base.
I've had mine a while. I'm one who isn't so keen on the stiffness - combined with the square base it is too easy to tip the whole unit inadvertently until you get used to it. I had big problems getting the phone app to communicate with the stick despite being both connected and paired. Turned out that the app data had become corrupted - clearing the app data cured the problem (Android). Turtle Beach support tried patiently to help solve the problem and eventually swapped the unit - very quick turnround. Only then did it become clear it was a phone issue, not the stick. I also find inadvertent interaction with the buttons beside the trim wheel rather too easy and at times very confusing. Must get round to remapping them!. Thanks for the mentions of alternate button mapping including those around the Xbox button. I have 15 and 32 button Streamdecks which have the great benefit of customisable captions. Be great to to have custom captions on the flight stick to help remember which button does what. Overall, I'm very pleased with it.
Wonderful comments here David: I do have something planned regarding a physical reference for mapping all kinds of flight controls, so stay alert for that. I have to say that Turtle Beach have one of the best customer support, support, out there.
I have seen with great interest both your first reviews and this last one. I bought the Flightstick and have been using it for a couple of weeks and I fully agree with all the criticisms for the B16 and B16 buttons. I don't agree to sterilize them, they are always two buttons among the easiest to handle and losing them is a real pity, so I set B17 for flap increase and B16 for flap decrease. I then reset the trackpad sensitivity like you, but I thought I'd use its physical click (B19) to activate/deactivate the autopilot: in this position it's really much more useful than in the default B16 position! As for the trim wheel, I'm going crazy in the SX8 axis sensitivity configurations (I use the Xbos series S version) because I can't control the trim well which, perhaps due to the choices of Miscrosoft and Asobo, varies by the value of a 1% for every three clicks of the wheel. I haven't managed to get the trim right yet and this is frustrating as the main reason I chose this controller was to have the VFR trim at my fingertips! As for H2, I have a problem that I don't know if it's due to my hardware (I've checked hundreds of times if I had made an involuntary configuration error): the analog POV works well in the right-left direction but in the up-down direction it does not react unless the stick is brought all the way to the end and pressed hard for a few seconds! This always happens to me for the "down" direction and sometimes for the "up" direction. I would not like there to be some defect in the magnetic sensor behind, I will contact Turtle Beach for this. Finally I wanted to point out something that is poorly documented but which I found very useful: the trim wheel can also be pressed and clicked and this corresponds to button B15: I found it very very useful to use this unexpected additional button within reach of the thumb to the internal/external view change function! If I could give Turtle Beach one last piece of advice for firmware updates, it would be to make the rotary cursor at the base of the stick (the large ring at the base) USABLE to implement an absolutely essential function of turning the instrument knobs! Thanks for your attention and best regards
Thanks, that's a very thorough analysis and a lot to chew through. Until you mentioned it, I had not idea that the trim wheel could be clicked and used as an extra setting - wonderful! 👍
Thanks for the video. I had the same issue with the two buttons on either side of the trim wheel being too sensitive. The solution for me was simple. I raised the palm rest to the highest position. I am now far less prone to touch these as my hand and fingers are in a different position. Hope your on the mend 👍
Thanks Mark, I have the palm rest to the highest position but I'm still triggering the buttons either side - I have them now set to none vital functions.
Thanks for the follow up review. I hit the same 2 issues you did, the buttons by the trim wheel and the tiny mouse pad. I originally had the 2 buttons by the trim wheel to flaps up and down. While trimming I'd inc or Dec the flaps. I reassigned them to throttle inc and Dec (handing for landing). I basically disabled the mouse via the flight stick config menu. Cheers, Steve
Love your videos Huddison! You've convinced me on it and just purchased one from Turtle Beach, oh and I referenced you as the reason as well. Keep up the fantastic work my friend!
I have to admit, I have several flight yokes, rudder pedals, throttles, panels etc, but you can't beat a simple, decent joystick. I just bought an Xbox - X and one of these to go with it.
I have this stick as well as the Velocity One Flight Yoke. One thing I wish was included (or at least made available) was a desk-clamping solution. I like using the stick with my Honeycomb Bravo Throttle Quadrant, but I have to constantly press down on the stick to keep it from moving across my desk. The Flight Yoke has a really great mechanism for clamping it down to my desk. This stick needs something similar.
Great Vid Sir, got mine today. Just so you know I have the Thrustmaster T-Flight Rudders and they do work as stand alone on PC. When I bought my pedals it came with a dongle that converts the proprietary connector to USB. MSFS 2020 detected it straight away on PC and Series X/S while also using the Velocity One Flight Stick. I have now sold my T-Flight Hotas One X and kept the pedals. 😎👍
@Huddison Yes correct sorry I should have been clearer, when I used them on Xbox I just shoved the Hotas out of the way while it was connected lol. Now I'm full PC its great without it.
Like the review , however the tension spring is much to stiff, uncomfortably stiff, I disassembled mine and changed the spring and now it’s almost perfect, when flying helicopters , the feel is 100 times better. Airplane flying, especially on approach landing is so nice.
A great review for the velocity one, I decided to get this stick for Elite Dangerous (new player). I was able to map your config from the video alone which was a huge help although the right detent I have set to FSD jump rather than cargo open/closed. It is surprising how much can be done from the stick which little need for the keyboard.
i just ordered this flight stick to play mfs and star wars squadrons, and cheers mate great overview and your initial review video as well. I am hoping like hell they will release a throttle quadrant also. keep up they great work!
I bought the stick after your video about it. I do agree with most of what you say. The stick stiffness is great for me too. The cursor button is annoying so I turned the sensivity to zero as you did. Buttons B16 and B17 is as you say too easy to acitvate. About the trim wheel, I would like it to be bigger so you can turn it up and down without hitting the base, or the buttons. Another thing is the lights. I would like a quick button to turn it off. I have my stick connected all the time and I don´t want the light to be on when I ´m not using it. So mostly I just turn the light off in the menu, but it take some time every time. Otherwise I really like the stick. Thanks to you.
After using it for less than an hour I disabled those two buttons. I absolutely love the H2 button to look around. My logitech yoke has nothing like that so I have to use the mouse. Looking around makes a huge difference in MSFS. What I Hate about the joystick is the trim wheel. If I start flying and the trim is at something like 10%, when I go to adjust the trim wheel with just one click in any direction the trim changes drastically. It will go from 10% to -8% and the plane freaks out. It appears to work fine when you test it in Control Options, but not flying. After you adjust it, it starts working normally, but the first adjustment changes the trim to a random setting.
@@Huddison I'd be interested in that video. My logitech yoke has an up/down trim switch and it doesn't have the issue I mentioned. Other than that I like the flight stick. Personally, I think all the input devices suffer from being too springy. I'd like to see them make one that is fluid resistance based.
The best flight stick for helis. Love the complete setup...throttle is perfect. No need to add one on, IMHO. Assign Buttons 16 and 17 to non. flight control items...such as lights or bringing up maps..etc. Stiffness is perfect for Helicopter flying.
Another great video. As a recent subscriber, I am learning quite a bit about MSFS and third party peripherals. Thank you. Regarding the issue with the B16 and B17 buttons, may I suggest that instead of completely deleting their functionality you might re-assign them only to be used with the addition of a function button. You have allocated B7 as your function button for certain tasks. I have seen another video--sorry I can't remember which one--where the trigger is used as a function button for airborne only tasks such as autopilot functions. Perhaps trigger + B16 for toggling AP Master and trigger + B17 for toggling auto throttle.
Make the buttons on either side of the trim wheel zoom in and zoom out. Also, I still use both the hat and a mouse to look around. I'm not sure why this didn't work for you.
@@Huddison I've been doing it since December. But I should mention that I mapped it to look around with the mouse button held down. Without a button pressed it moves the cursor. That may be the difference. And the mouse wheel zooms in and out.
I’ve been watching your videos for two hours, and I’m really thinking about buying one Velocity One thanks to your reviews. I really like your way to explain how it works and all the stuff. There’s just one thing, English is not my first language so I didn’t really understand the part of the pedals, Can the pedals be connected to the Velocity One?
Hi, the Velocity One is a great Flightstick to buy. Yes the Velocity One Rudder Pedals can be connected to the Flightstick - if you're on PC, then the Pedals can plug directly into your PC.
Haddison, you have a bad influence on my wallet. I bought this due to your review. It got delivered today, and I am very happy with it. As you mentioned, I have not had issues with the buttons. It must be a finger issue??? The stiffness is something I do not like, I changed the sensitivities to accommodate this, and I hope to get used to this. I have ordered the Thrustmaster TPR rudder pedals as my next upgrade. Thank you for the reviews. I also look forward to seeing the throttle quadrant for the flight stick.
I wish for v2 to have some kind of force feedback (FFB) I believe it is on the MSFS 2020 timeline to implement FFB, would be amazing if Turtle Beach timed a release of a FFB joystick with that update. In some ways the movement reminds me of the Microsoft Sidewinder Force Feedback 2 joystick and there was a non-FFB version of that as well. The throttle quadrant would be very welcome, can never have too many controls with sims.
I sim at home and away away I use the thrustmaster TCA Sidestick Airbus Edition - Replica of the Airbus sidestick at home this Velocity One Flightstick. Also on a 3rd set up for group flights with a T.Flight Hotas One Flight Stick. This Velocity One Flightstick is the best, but I would gladly give up the built in bluetooth or the cursor for vibration which sadly all lack. Playing with a xbox controller is good in this respect. Not sure why none seem to have vibration, my old now discarded flight stick from 2004 has vibration!
"the square base it is too easy to tip the whole unit inadvertently until you get used to it." I use BluTack to secure the base, and have no further problems with it.
I just bought one after watching a few reviews. I have the dual joystick Warthog but its not easy when I just want to pop it out and play a quick game. This kind of has all in 1, the ability to do so much, so I got it just so I can do some more flight stuff without having to take the time to pull it all out and setup. Wish the spring was a little softer but think it will be ok.
The sad thing about the TB Flight Stick is it is not available in Australia or New Zealand at the moment. Turtle Beach needs to do worldwide releases not just one region at a time.
I didn't realise that it still wasn't available in AUS or NZ. Sadly that seems to be the way with Honeycomb too: most of us UK'ers miss out on their initial releases.
I just got one off eBay for £30, it was an unwanted Christmas present.. gonna be excellent for me though! 😁 Gonna do what other people have said and trim the spring a bit.. did they ever release a dedicated Throttle?
As a PS4 owner about ready to jump into the current nxt gen console market, this flightstick with a rumored HOTAS option has me leaning hard into getting a Series X over a PS5! My dream would be able to play the upcoming mech game Armored Core 6 with 2 of these flightstcks chained togeather, as with all these lit up buttons, it'll be like playing a next gen version of the legendary Steel Battalion series.
I just ordered one of these, mostly for the inclusion of two throttles with the detents and especially for the potential convenience of having mouse control right on the stick! I'm really hoping the use of that trackpad for interacting with the many controls in MSFS while in VR will be a game changing function for me. We'll see. Based on all the reviews I've watched, my suggestion for a version 2 of this stick would be for the B16 and B17 buttons to be smaller and for the trackpad to be made larger with improved accuracy.
@@Huddison I know. Nearly every review does point out that it isn't the best. Unfortunately, no other flight stick appears to even include anything like it, so this is the one I went with. Like I said, I'd like to see a stick with a larger and more reliable trackpad, because it really would be quite a significant feature for VR. In VR, your head directs where the mouse is to some extent, so we just need the track pad to allow for pointing and clicking.
As someone who works with my forearms every day, I find that I’m too hamfisted to be smooth with the cheaper sticks like my Logi 3D Extreme. I’m hoping the stick being stiffer towards the middle isn’t too bad, but if it is I’ll just cut the spring until I’m happy with the tension. Mine gets here Tuesday and I can’t wait
After nearly a year the RGB lights failed on the right 4 buttons. Turtle beach replaced the joystick (Excellent customer service) however after about an hour of use the replacement developed a twist fault where it doesn't respond anymore! I'm waiting for a response from Turtlebeach at the moment. I've owned the Logitech X56 and the Thrustmaster T16000M both of which failed. Perhaps I might look into VKB although they're out of stock.
My VelocityOne Flightstick lasted seriously 2 weeks. After 2 weeks, buttons and control stick started going out one after the other. Right out of the box I felt like there was an issue but it wasn’t prevalent and I wouldn’t know, this being my first flight stick. Very unfortunate considering this video and these comments made it seem like an excellent build when it came to quality and performance.
Hi. Just got this stick after watching your videos. Just wondered if you use the same sensitivity settings for this as you have shown in older vids for your thrustmaster hotas unit? Thanks
Thanks very much for your informative video. I've had mine for about 9 months, use it mostly for helicopters, but am setting up a profile for ga taildraggers. Have not had many problems with mine, and have experienced some of some conditions with location of buttons, particularly the two beside the trim wheel as you mentioned. One problem that has surfaced is that all the LED lights on the the base no longer light up,I.E. the lights around bottom of stick, and 8 button lights. I can select the various colors from menu but only top of stick lights up. Selecting OFF in lighting option shuts all lights off, cannot seem to get other base lights turned on. Have any suggestions? Thanks again for your time and effort in producing this video for us to use.
There shouldn't be much tension or stiffness in the joystick. Imagine such tension in the steering wheel or joystick of a real vehicle, would it suit you? EDIT: I would like to see a screw or similar under the base - for setting stiffness of a stick. I think it will save a ton of required time for fine tuning to all users.
Good run-through, mirrors some of my thoughts on this close to brilliant stick. Love the feel of it, comfortable to use. Took a LOT of tinkering with MSFS bindings to get a setup I'm happy with (not helped by it not always being obvious what the button names are in MSFS). Touchpad not much use on XBox, so did same as you. I've kept both buttons either side of the trim wheel - the default binding to autopilot is painful but now I have left button switching cockpit/external view, and right autopilot on/off but only if also holding trigger. Works for me. I like H2 as the free look too. Ended up settling on a combo of the V1FS plus wireless mouse on XBox SX, seems to be the best of both worlds, at least while the touchpad works so poorly on Xbox. The only thing I wish TB would sort out is how slowly the trim wheel actually moves the aircraft trim. I guess a trim sensitivity or speed option in the stick settings panel via firmware update could help that.
These comments are gathering pace now: thanks for your wonderful addition to the video. Both the V1 Yoke and FS have somewhat frustrating trim-wheel interactivity.; they work fine once you have them synced - still hoping for firmware that fixes these issues.
Hello, have you heard about potential bluetooth capability for Xbox Cloud Gaming. I play on both Xbox and Cloud Gaming on my tablet and had heard that this Flight Stick may be added as an official controller for the Xbox Cloud Gaming.
@@Huddison would be wonderful to see Xbox unlock more control options for Xbox Cloud Gaming and the this flight stick would seem to be the perfect partner
Linux compatibility is great, the app helps with firmware for us non windows user When you click the right button B19 from memory. The screen on fight sim has a mouse displayed, shame you can’t control it like a twin stick joystick, needs sorting
I have been doing flight sim for roughly 2 months now, I have gained so much knowledge about aviation, I already knew some info but have gained so much more, playing flight sim on a controller doesn't make me feel the full experience, what's the best introductory level yoke
TB flight stick hmmm intetesting. Another good video and flying with the right hand could be an English thing being driving on the right side hmmm well another good video thank you and I still feel I made a good choice by purchasing two logitech throttle quadrants and an Alpha Bravo Yoke system and logictech rudder pedals. I save some money and put the savings into the computer .
however I did have to go the Honey Comb Route but thought ynow the flight stick you talked about is good for aircraft that have sticks instead of yokes to make it more authentic
Hi Huddison agree with your review , have had it for 2 weeks. The throttle works well with the OSPREY VELOCOPTER which requires gentle input. Appreciate the trouble you take in making your videos. One other item not involved in any way with the joystick, since update 11 where the3 D THERMALS arrived i did try the helicopter wit and without the thermals then suddenly CESSNA 172 with G1000 which i often use , now appears with a halo of these spagheti like damn thermal streamers even when they are TURNED OFF OR ON which ruins the whole thing for me. Would you or any of your viewers have had this happen or is there any solution. Any ideas would be gratefully received.
The Velocity combo FlightStick + Rudder + Stand + mouse It's for me the nice solution on MSFS Xbox serie X. I Flight propeller planes, Gliders , Military Jets & Helicopters, it works fine and perfect for all. ( I have also a Velocity Flight, but i don't use it for the moment, i prefer a stick to a Yoke ). I owned several years ago Elite Dangerous Xbox, does the Flight Stick works on the console version ? ------- Thanks for yours video ;-)
Yes with the latest firmware update & in compatibility mode, apparently ED works well with the V1 FS on Xbox (I don't actually own ED on my Xbox Series S, as I already own it twice on PC and PS4). Check this on the TB Discord - I'm sure somebody will confirm.
Would you recommend this or the Logitech Flight Yoke System? Currently the logitech is 40% off right now (100$) and the Velocity 1 is 110$. Im not really sure which to buy since im new to all of this since I never owned one before
Wow that's a loaded question: You can't fault the Logitech Yoke system for its price and it opens up a whole new world of immersion. The V1 Flightstick on the other hand is compact and full of features. It has to be your choice my friend (based on your own preferences) - our Discord might be able to help you decide better: discord.gg/Ameu93sHfY
Putting everything else to one side for the moment, does anyone have a 'squeaky' problem with the main 'ball' joint for the pitch and roll axis. I find it incredibly annoying and distracting and I'm not quite sure how to cure it. The squeak is worse on the roll than the pitch axis. I have tried a tiny amount of silicone lubricant without success and the same with a small amount of WD40 without success. I'm not sure what to try next but any suggestions would be welcome as it's driving me potty...
It looks good thats for sure... Im gonna hold out to see what the turtle beach hotas is like (i dont know the name) depending on what its like i might go with a vkb hosas... I main elite dangerous
@@Huddison I just watched your other video on the flightdeck and I noticed on turtle beaches site that the v1 flightdeck is listed under Xbox simulation controller... Not sure but it seems like it's launching for Xbox.
Have you had problems with the toe brakes on the turtle beach rudder? I have switched back to my Thrustmaster Hotas set up, found I prefer it. Maybe I'll revisit the flightstick when the throttle quadrant is released
I've had no issues with toes brakes personally. You are aware that on Xbox Series S/X, that you need to set left and right brake for toe brakes in Controls Options?
For those of us on Xbox, any idea if you could use the throttle quadrant from the VelocityOne Flight Universal Control System in tandem with the Flightstick?
@@Huddison thanks for your reply I like the TB yoke a bit better just have to find something to clamp it onto. I will be buying the x box 1 tb soon because the graphics are better than the white x box
im using it that stick for dcs world and its a nice one overall , what pisses me off tho is that i cant assign the touchpad button to anything and the scroll wheel is not considered an axis ... maybe im also just too stupid idk xD
@@Huddison i tried using it for smoothly zooming in and out , it gladly takes my mousewheel but the joystic wheel is too much xD putting trim on the wheel also wouldve been a good idea
This stick has 2 big problems. One is the stiffness, which can be fixed (as others said). The other one is the very small movement angle of the stick. And that can't be fixed. Compared to my old Thrustmaster stick, the Velocity One has almost half the movement. This just feels bad if you are used to a good flight stick with a proper movement angle. It simply can't have the same precision if you need only half the stick movement for the same movement in the sim. I tried the Velocity One stick and returned it immediately. It has very nice features, but unfortunately that's all worthless if the stick fails completely in the most important points: Comfort/ feeling and precision. In my opinion a complete misconstruction.
I am having some serious issues with this joy stick followed your steps and it got worse we need an up date on this this is the worst joystick I have ever had and know is taking like that these days it it only looks good it not doing it's job

After you adjust it, it starts working normally, but the first adjustment changes the trim to a random setting.
The trim issues is more a fault of the Sim than the V1 FS. I am aiming ot make a video on that subject.
Wanting to make a video for heli flying with this FS and V1 rudders.
Thanks. See my updated setting video: ruclips.net/video/cer46Og1FSc/видео.html
@@Huddison Haha, that was you. Brilliant! Very good indeed.
Make the buttons on either side of the trim wheel zoom in and zoom out. Also, I still use both the hat and a mouse to look around. I'm not sure why this didn't work for you.
Things may have changed with the recent SU.
@@Huddison I've been doing it since December. But I should mention that I mapped it to look around with the mouse button held down. Without a button pressed it moves the cursor. That may be the difference. And the mouse wheel zooms in and out.
Great idea
This looks fantastic, I'd love to give it a try 👍
I’ve been watching your videos for two hours, and I’m really thinking about buying one Velocity One thanks to your reviews. I really like your way to explain how it works and all the stuff.
There’s just one thing, English is not my first language so I didn’t really understand the part of the pedals, Can the pedals be connected to the Velocity One?
Hi, the Velocity One is a great Flightstick to buy.
Yes the Velocity One Rudder Pedals can be connected to the Flightstick - if you're on PC, then the Pedals can plug directly into your PC.
@@Huddison THANK YOU! So that means I’m ready to buy it!
Great to hear Dennis. It seems some like the Stiffness and others don't, but senilities (like you mentioned) do help to negate it.
I sim at home and away
away I use the thrustmaster TCA Sidestick Airbus Edition - Replica of the Airbus sidestick
at home this Velocity One Flightstick.
I'm hoping Haptic Feedback on a well priced yoke or Hotas/FS is forthcoming (hopefully sooner rather than later).
I agreed with everything but the stiffness, the tension is the problem imo, the responsiveness can’t fix that. All in all an excellent video 👍
Thanks Brian (did I get that correct?). It would've been great if there was a tension knob on the unit.
Maybe if Turtle Beach could make a update that you have the option to hold the buttons for a couple of seconds before getting activated.
Great 💡
"the square base it is too easy to tip the whole unit inadvertently until you get used to it."
I use BluTack to secure the base, and have no further problems with it.
Good tip. I find that it's stable for me as is.
I am using 2 medium strength velcro hook and loop - no problem!
You get used to the tension of the stick (I've always liked it personally).
No throttle as of yet.
That sounds like a very tempting proposition.
After finding, belatedly, that FS wouldn't work with my PS5, sold the PS5 and bought a x-Box S. so happy I did.
Don't get overhyped for the trackpad; although it's good that it's there in this FS.
Hi! does the flight stick have rudder controls? The pedals are too expensive for me.....
Yes, twist the stick for Rudder.
It works quite well.
Sounds like you'll be happy with this one.
You had some bad look with your controllers.
Now waiting for my 3rd Velocity one stick from Turtlebeach
My VelocityOne Flightstick lasted seriously 2 weeks. After 2 weeks, buttons and control stick started going out one after the other. Right out of the box I felt like there was an issue but it wasn’t prevalent and I wouldn’t know, this being my first flight stick. Very unfortunate considering this video and these comments made it seem like an excellent build when it came to quality and performance.
It may have unfortunately been a faulty unit; you should be able to get a replacement.
Hi. Just got this stick after watching your videos. Just wondered if you use the same sensitivity settings for this as you have shown in older vids for your thrustmaster hotas unit? Thanks
I think I show my sensitivity settings for the FS in this video: ruclips.net/video/wtrWWX_EclU/видео.html
Hi. Thanks for the reply. Yes you do. 👍 Keep up the good work. Love watching and listening to your vids.
@@SimonPowell77 Thanks Simon
My Flightstick sometimes does that; I'm not sure of what the issue is, but I'm hoping a future update will fix it for good.
@@Huddison Thanks for your quick reply! Cheers from Texas!
The Bluetooth is only between a smart phone and the stick currently.
@@Huddison would be wonderful to see Xbox unlock more control options for Xbox Cloud Gaming and the this flight stick would seem to be the perfect partner
Linux compatibility is great, the app helps with firmware for us non windows user
When you click the right button B19 from memory. The screen on fight sim has a mouse displayed, shame you can’t control it like a twin stick joystick, needs sorting
Great feedback, thanks.
collective stick would be great also
I have been doing flight sim for roughly 2 months now, I have gained so much knowledge about aviation, I already knew some info but have gained so much more, playing flight sim on a controller doesn't make me feel the full experience, what's the best introductory level yoke
On PC MSFS the Logtiech Yoke; on Xbox I would advise the V1 Yoke.
Sounds like you did the wise thing Mike.
however I did have to go the Honey Comb Route but thought ynow the flight stick you talked about is good for aircraft that have sticks instead of yokes to make it more authentic
@@mikecoffee100 I've found that the Flight Stick is a great all rounder over the past few months Mike.
@@Huddison yes that sounds good it takes up less room as well on a desk.
You can try asking this in the Discord David - I'm sure someone will have suggestions in there.
The throttles have different shapes and it looks like the one on the right is shaped like a flap lever. Can it be assigned to flaps?
Yes, you can assign it to which ever function you wish to.
Do you know if it is compatible with Logitech rudder pedals?
Yes, on both Xbox & PC.
@@Huddison thank you!
It looks good thats for sure... Im gonna hold out to see what the turtle beach hotas is like (i dont know the name) depending on what its like i might go with a vkb hosas... I main elite dangerous
I'll be hopefully reviewing the new V1 FlightDeck.
@@HuddisonI wasn't! I was just assuming it was the well known issue, never occurred to check the assignments!
Problem solved, thank you
I didn't know how to enable rumble in this flightstick
It doesn't have a rumble feature.
For those of us on Xbox, any idea if you could use the throttle quadrant from the VelocityOne Flight Universal Control System in tandem with the Flightstick?
You'll need the V1 yoke plugged in to do that.
Which would you recommend the TB flightstick or the TB yoke?
Depending on your budget: either or both.
Were you trying to assign the scroll wheel to trim in DCS?
I'm not convinced it's possible. I use buttons for trim personally.
Is that really a good tension when theres a sudden "jump" near the centre?
??
I am having some serious issues with this joy stick followed your steps and it got worse we need an up date on this this is the worst joystick I have ever had and know is taking like that these days it it only looks good it not doing it's job
That's a shame. I've just been using mine for a Heli I'm reviewing - I've not had any real issues with mine and sorry to hear that you have.
I wonder if the stiffness is right for the Airbus planes?
It will replicate the enormity of the Airbus.
Have the extra accessories come out for this?
Not as yet.
I got mine yesterday. Unable to update the software. Unable to run with the older software. Sent back same day. Too bad because it looks like a nice product. Very disappointed.
Oh no, that's a great shame. Don't give up on the V1 FS, it really is fantastic in use.
Did you put it into xbox mode?
@@mcsherlocks yep
@@Huddison I decided to give it another shot and this time it updated first time...weird...now to figure out how to configure it...
oops, sending it back again since the 2nd hat switch is basically worthless for programming as a TDC
Is the throttle sensitive?
Not too sensitive, the levers have good travel and resistance.
Sound like ringo starr
I take that as a huge compliment.
