    I currently use this board and bought it recently when I was rebuilding. I put it in the NZXT H710i case and the only issue I have is that I can’t use 3 fans at the top. For example I purchased: Kraken Z73 and it would not fit due to the third fan being blocked by the top left of the motherboard. It blocks the fan so it does not fit in, so Instead i’m forced to use a 2 fan setup (Z63). Is there any solution to this?

    I've completed a build with an 850W Corsair PSU and AlphaSync AMD Ryzen 7 3800X 3.9GHz, 16GB RAM, RTX 3070Ti, with only the 8 pin connected, however it won't POST and the memory is also not illuminating. The board is live though since the RGB built in graphics work and the lights on the AOAI cooling module have come on. The fans are also spinning on the 3070ti, but nothing on the monitor and no post sounds. I have only connected the 8 pin. Any ideas out there please

    • @Silent157
      @Silent157  2 года назад

      The AlphaSync system you have is using this ASUS ROG motherboard? Double check to see if there is power connected to your graphics card from the PSU and also try removing one memory chip at a time to rule out that any of them may be having an issue. Let me know how it goes.

      @@Silent157 Thanks for replying. Yes, I've checked both items and tried both memory modules independently in different slots, but as I no longer work in tech I don't have any other substitution options to try other boards/memory/CPU. I have given up and sent it back to the retailer for testing, but worried now that they'll give me a cash refund and keep hold of the GPU which I was able to test as working. Fingers crossed they'll be honest and replace only parts that are broken (they no longer have that 3070ti or the CPU in retail stock).

    Hi. I have a question. I bought this motherboard because I am going to build a gamer pc, and I also bought a nzxt h710 case, whose front panel usb is 3.1. Can I connect the case front panel usb, which is 3.1, to the motherboard front panel usb port, which is 3.2? I know that it would lose speed, but I am concerned that it might burn out the usb port on the motherboard or on the front panel of the case.

    • @Silent157
      @Silent157  2 года назад

      Excellent question and there are adapters available that allow you to make these connection. However, there also are warnings mentioned that USB-C can draw more watts, around 100w, as opposed to regular USB 3, which draws around 4.5w. This may cause the board to shut down. You also may not get the full AMPs that would be available on a type C connection.

      You may have to go into the BIOS and check to see that the WIFI option is enabled. Usually this feature is on by default, but some ASUS owners have mentioned finding the WIFI module being disabled. Once you enable and reboot, you will just need to install the drivers for the WIFI and you should be all set to go.

      That's really odd, since every case I've gotten from 2000 and onward had screws. If you have screws handy from a previous case, you can likely use those, since they all usually pretty standard.

      @@Silent157 First world problem, a friend of mine would call it. It's a great motherboard, just wanted to give a PSA for anyone who might have to deal with a warranty issue with Asus. Escalate it to a management level, if necessary. I've used Asus parts for a long time, and this is the only time I've had an issue (other than them reaching the end of their expected service life).
      The MB had issues from day one, not recognizing all of the installed memory (identical sticks) and shutting off intermittently. A few days later it powered off and never turned back on.
      EDIT: They replaced it with a brand new board, instead of repairing the defective one.
