I have these with the honey lug sole, great boot. This has a higher sprung toe than their standard 20 last IMO. Although not firefighting or logging boots i put Truman boots up against any Whites or Nick’s or Frank’s heritage models. Their soles, especially the Eugene Sole is practically indestructible . I’ve had 30 pairs of TB’S, down to 26 gave my brother 4.

This is interesting. Looks like the Natural Cypress limited boot I got in 2023. But yours has black lug instead of gum color. Yours also have hooks.

Their 20 last is really good but they are not releasing enough boots with that make up. They must do some leathers with just this last.

I agree, they definitely need to do more on the 20 last

That cypress leather is gorgeous and I bet it will patina beautifully! Only reason I've held off on the 20 last is because of the tongue... Not sure why they don't have the gusset like on the 79 last. 20 last upland with a gusseted tongue would be my go to! Thanks for the video!

This is odd. My 2023 pair of Natural Cypress in the 20 Last have a gusseted tongue. Odd they changed that production detail for 2024.

You pronouce Oregon, Orygun. And anyone that doesn't consider Eugene the PNW needs to check a map. Not pacific northwest?! It's two hours south of Portland.
    Beautiful boots!

Hi what color thread have they used to stitch back stay and upper? It's looks nice some use white thread on natural leather which I'm not sure if it suits.

thanks for the content! i dig the spinner tray lol,, i've been curious about Truman lately.. despite having alot of White's and other PNWs.., Truman is appealing for their leather options and pricing for an American made boot.. like this Cypress.., very nice.. lots of pull up.. almost reminds me of Badalassi Olmo.., I'd like a pair of Truman to try something like Maryam.. i have a CF Stead White's MP.., so that's out.., i just want to try different tanneries.. so if any Wickett and Craig, Maryam, or Shinki were to come up.., I'd be all about it. Gallun, Law, etc.. or even Dublin or Essex would be nice to try..
if they had arch and more than 2 lasts.., I'd probably be more interested.. but i mainly just see them as a means to get a 'cheaper' American boot in a leather that I've never experienced from different tanneries.. i just hope they keep things moving with horsebutt types.. Grant Stone does a good job offering a wide variety of leathers though I've yet to try anything from them

Yeah the main draw for Truman, I feel, is there variety of leathers. If they did something from those tanneries you mentioned I too would also be very interested. I haven't tried Grant Stone yet either even though I've heard nothing but great things about them. Their boots just look super dressy for me though, I think the look of a truman boot fits me better than say the look of grant stone diesel boot.

I purchased it off amazon. I just searched display turntable. It was one of the first results for around $35 I think.

Thank you for very informative video, it appears that last 20 would be even better than 79 last for slimmer ankle and instep feet that I have. Please confirm if am I right because ordering via internet site is my only option.

I would say the 20 last definitely hugs my waste more than the 79 last

I use my Truman Boots only for casual wear ! Not any type of work. I love my Truman Boots ! They should last me 10+ years with proper care/maintenance and as only casual weekend boots ! not my daily beaters ! I use my Origin Maine boots as my daily beaters 👍 AMERICAN MADE ONLY, BABY ! 🇺🇸💪

Oh they have definitely been on my radar. A little fancy looking for my taste but I am definitely interested in getting a diesel boot in a waxy suede or maybe a bison leather. They are on my list :)
