I bought nearly these exact parts for my first computer build before seeing the video and came across it for the motherboard installation. It felt like hitting the jackpot. Thanks for the help!
Me too i bought almost the same exact parts the only difference from my build is the cpu i went with the 5700x the gpu the pulse 6600xt and cpu colloing fan is different put everything else is the same the motherboard the ram.ect
thought i was a pro at installing cpus after watching this. Ripped the amd cpu up with the fan several times, cause i panicked due to the pressure i had to put on the air cooler xD luckily it still worked.. even though the pins are friable, its kinda stupid safe. Anyways, amazing video, the calmness is the best part. Doing it like you've done it a million times before, helps a noob like me out by calming me down. Thank you!!
8350FX TOP!!! I replaced my 8350 with a 3700x with such a motherboard, only without Wi-Fi...fx was somehow more familiar, it will forever be in my heart! I have had it since 2012 and it has never failed!
I would recommend to playce the motherboard on a soft surface or just the box it comes in, so the back doesnt get damaged by putting in the ram for example
Had this exact ram and cpu had my water cooler die after a year and 2 days warranty expired by 2 days -.- been loooking all day for something that air cooled that cleared the ramm Ty so much
I wasn't expecting to see that Athlon! I am in the middle of upgrading my FX 8150 I built 12 years ago! I'm going to use the FX for a minecraft/Plex server going forward!
I stumbled upon this video and its great because Im getting a similar PC with the only difference is in the case (cooler master h500p mesh) and the GPU (MSI 3060 ventus x3) This video is super helpful since I’m going to assemble it myself 🙏
I'm glad I caught this video. I didn't realize I could run 3600mhz memory on this board. I thought it was 3200mhz for some reason. Thanks for sharing ha .
The board is a B550, so 4400MT/s is the highest it can run on. The limiting factor is (in most cases) the CPU, as Ryzen 3 has a warranty void when going above 3200MT/s.
Fortune favors the bold. I am just starting a very similar build using the same mobo, and CPU except mine is a 9 5900x. I bought two SSd's just for fun. I have 32 g of memory. Its nice for me to see it happen in real time, I learn far better when I see it happen rather than being told.
I want this exact build, just a different tower. I want the Lian Li LANCOOL II case. Because I may want to upgrade, I will get a new power supply too, probably 800w. but ya, I want that. Thank you for the vid, I have been searching forever on a build that suits my needs, this does that.
I just finished mine with 64GB of RAM 3200mhz, Ryzen 9 5900X OC, Radeon 6900XT 16GB OC, and H100i Elite Liquid Cooler, Samsung 980 2TB Nvme, and a 850W Segostep PSU. The case is a Mid ATX, yes, full ATX would have been better but my budget got me the mid ATX. Now I see that I have to tweak the Bios settings in order to get full performance from all the components.

I was looking for some video about this mobo before building my pc and surprisingly we got almost the same parts. I'm using a dark rock pro 4 cooler and unfortunately in my case these rgb Ram sticks are too tall so couldn't install the cooler. Going for the non rgb at this point. Thank you for your tutorial however, it was very useful! 👍
hey question, so i have this same motherboard, and i have a 980 pro ssd, at first i installed it on the bottem slot because i didnt think it mattered where to install it, but samsung magician was saying it was pcie gen 3x4, and too install it in the pcie gen 4 slot, so i did, i moved it to the top slot, now its saying its pcie gen 4x2, but the motherboard states that there gen 4x4? and i feel like im not gettting the right write and read speeds, is there something i need too enable in bios? im kinda confused on why it says gen 4x2 and not gen 4x4 lol, a reply would be nice cause its my first time installing one and im kinda confused.
built my pc like 7 months ago and the thumbnail was so weirdly familiar to me , same mobo and ram , tho i went with corsair aio 240 , 3070 ti ,1 m.2 gen 4 and 1 m.2 gen 3 and 2tb , happy to see this mobo and ram being used in other builds tho , good video
It's how I was taught a long time ago, but whether it's correct or not will always be up for debate. I watched a video a few years later that showed different patterns smashed under plexiglass and it confirmed the rice dot choice was the best. I tried to find a link to it, but I have no idea where it's at. Out of curiousity, I watched a few modern videos and they are not happy with the rice dot technique. One of the things that was always hammered into me about it, was that good thermal paste is also electrically conductive and if it spills over the edge it can short out a component. I know it squishes out only when it can't fill gaps, so if you have a perfectly machined surface, there isn't any gaps to fill. It may vary depending on cheap components, or even porosity. The rice dot hasn't let me down, so I keep using it.
Hi, where is the logo with the heatsink from, going down, there is a clear track, which goes down to the audio chip, to make it clear, is it an audio track or LED? what temperature do you maintain under stress, with this heatsink? Thank you
How did windows work without enabling TPM I’m about to do the same set up but everywhere I look it says I have to enable it for this motherboard! And how did you not get a black screen at the start because from what I’m seeing you will need a bios update first with pc switched off but plugged in! Any advice would be greatly appreciated
Heya there. Everything worked right out of the box. I didn't have to do anything of that nature. I have had to deal with this on an older Intel board here: ruclips.net/video/a7DbYYFBX9Y/видео.html but this one had everything ready to go. My guess is first generation B550-F boards were shipped with an older BIOS that needed more TLC. This board has been out for a while, so my version likely had a lot of issues already solved. Hope that helps.

How to sort out to the use of type-c in the front panel? I have the same board with the with corsair 4000d airflow case. At the time i didn't think it would be handy be thinks changed.
This could be ignorance but I’m Still learning and am considering this cooler: On their website the additional fan is placed on the side where the RAM is. Obviously you want both fans to be facing the same direction? If this is the case, is there a problem with you installing the fan on the opposite side? If there are any misconceptions or anything I’m misunderstanding please anyone clarify / teach me
The most important thing is that they're both blowing the same direction. You can flip the fan around and install it either way. The main reason for putting it over the RAM is because most of the time there's a case fan right next to where I put the 2nd fan. Putting 2 fans that close together is a bit ridiculous. You can see them next to each other at 11:47. This fan is bigger, more reliable, and higher volume, so it's arguably worth keeping it on. I'm using the NH-D15S on my personal computer. It's basically the same cooler, but with one fan, and it works perfectly fine. You could easily do the same thing with this cooler with maybe a couple of degrees difference. There's 2 reasons I didn't put the 2nd fan above the RAM. The first and most important is because it wouldn't fit in the case with the side panel on. The second is because I didn't want to block air flow over the RAM that would be covered by the fan case. Now that I think of it, there's a 3rd reason. The cool lights on the RAM. Hope that helps.
Brother, if you are still learning, there is no point on going with this cooler, yes it is one of the top there is in the air cooler department but honestly its better used on overclocking which means messing around with stuff, if you are going to stay on stocks settings even a half priced cooler like the artic 34 e sport will do the same
Please tell me, does your assembly work fine, the motherboard does not heat up and can withstand the load of the processor, thank you in advance, good luck and success to your channel.

Question: I purchased the Lian Li 011 Dynamic and I'm installing a ROG STRIX B550-F GAMING MB, I'm attempting to connect the System Panel Header and I can only find 1 connector, labeled Power SW. There are no additional System Panel Header Connectors. May I assume that that's the only System Panel Header Cable it needs? Because I don't see any HD LED and as we know the case has its own LED Module at the bottom of the case. I'm lost, did they integrate the case to MB by some other means? The installation book shows all System Panel Header connections, but no additional cables/connectors to be found. I wondering did they screw up and left those connectors off. Plz advise. Thank You

Which way to connect pwr and reset switch? Does it matter? And if it does which side is ground? My connectors just have an arrow. Is that + or ? Is that ground or not?
That's what I want to know. The 980 Pro is actually faster than the 970 Evo Plus (I'm the OS key away from starting a build for one of my drivers {it's a late wedding gift for her} and I have a 2TB 980 Pro as the boot drive with a 2TB 970 Plus as a separate storage drive - the 980 Pro has a read speed that's twice as fast as the 970 Evo Plus).
The easy answer is 150 watts www.gigabyte.com/Support/FAQ/2773 Many manufacturers limit an 8 pin connector to 150 watts, but some of them allow you to get around it. For liability, nobody wants to really say what's possible because there are too many variables. Some really cheap PSU's can have very thin wire that can overheat. Combine that with a bad pin crimp, poor connector design, corrosion, and bad solder joints and it's possible to start a fire. 4 of the wires on an 8 pin connector are positive. According to this calculator, if you use 4x 18 gauge wires, that equates to 1x 12 gauge wire. www.wirebarn.com/Combined-Wire-Gauge-Calculator_ep_42.html Keep in mind, the wire coming from the breaker box in your home to the outlet in your room is 12 gauge. Volts x Amps = Watts. The 5800x is rated at 105 watts without overclock. This is a 12 Volt system. 105w / 12v = 8.75 Amps. According to this calculator, at 4 feet, a single 18 gauge wire is usable. www.wirebarn.com/Wire-Calculator-_ep_41.html The liability answer: An 8 pin connector is fine for this build, but if you want to be safe, use 12.

Yes, nice build. The only thing I don't like about these monster air coolers is the way they hang over the ram. I saved my FX9590 & AM2 Phenom builds to. Except instead of another setup with them they hang on the wall like art. Like - nerd art? Cheers.

Some motherboard will say Ryzen 5000 ready. That way you don't have to flash it. If not make sure you get a motherboard with bios flashback. Then you can watch how to flash your bios with a USB for Ryzen 5000 cpu. It is easy.
You download the latest bios drivers to the USB an make sure you name accordingly to each manufacturer properly. Just look up on RUclips how to flash your bios for Ryzen 5000
It will depend on the motherboard and the exact CPU you're using. There are instances where the motherboard box says it's ready for [insert version of Ryzen], but you need to update the BIOS due to incompatibility if you didn't update the BIOS ahead of building the PC.

Many manufacturers limit an 8 pin connector to 150 watts, but some of them allow you to get around it. For liability, nobody wants to really say what's possible because there are too many variables. Hey I have a question, will it work with a ryzen 7 5700g core? Or will it need a bios update? And will any two ddr4 ram sticks work?
do I have to clean the cpu chip for the heatsink will it still function properly
Do you need a bios update for ryzen 7 5800x3d?
I didn’t get a spacer that fits the right screw
What kind of case is he using in the video?
ah thanks needed to make sure i can use vengeance rgb pro on the motherboard, couldn't find it on the asus compatibility website
i just install my new board proc and aio . ryzen 7 5800x , rog strix b550 f gaming with nzxt kraken x63 . start bios , my cpu temp 57c . why not same ? idle already high temp . i though its only 40-50
Nice build
la prochaine fois fait les etapes dans l'ordre svp ! A+ dans le bus !
Hello!
Im building my computer but im still confused about chassis and are researching. What chassi did you use for that build?
It's an old NZXT Phantom
@@distractor_beamreviews Thanks
Yes, nice build. The only thing I don't like about these monster air coolers is the way they hang over the ram. I saved my FX9590 & AM2 Phenom builds to. Except instead of another setup with them they hang on the wall like art. Like - nerd art? Cheers.
Great video man! Question does this MB support a ryzen 7 5700g?
Yes.
@@distractor_beamreviews thank you bro!
Which power supply did you use? My PC:
Ryzen 7 5800x
Rtx 3060ti de msi version ventus 3x
32gb de Ram consair
1tb NVMe PCL.4
Hdd 2tb
Motherboard asus rog strix B550-F gaming Wifi 2
Case: Asus tuf gaming gt301
And 750w power supply by corsair…
I would like to add the Noctua NH-U12A, Do you think the power source supports it?
I'm using a HX1000. I always go overkill on power supplies for higher efficiency. That 750 will be fine.
Mine did not started after installing windows 😢 its just freeze in the windows logo
Where do you buy the plugs from?
It comes with the power supply.
83 degrees is high, how high do the temps get with a ryzen 9 5900x?
what do I need to download the BIOS before doing my build? I'm new to pc building
How much cost that full build.
