You’re right - these types of videos don’t really exist. Others do reviews (or try to, anyway) but these videos just showcase the product. It’s like unboxing++++. Between you showcasing a board and Buildzoid of Actually Hardcore Overclocking rambling on about the board is the combo I need to keep my curiosity satiated. Nice work as always. The way I see it is that there's room for everyone and we're more than happy leaving the VRM testing and all of that to the other channels. We just enjoy getting down to the meat and potatoes of the boards 👌

Great overview guys! I bought this board as soon as it was available in Aus. I have to say that I am quite impressed with it. Paired it with an R5 3600 and 3600mhz CL16 RAM. I plan to upgrade the CPU with Zen 3 in a year or so.

Ryan Way for the wifi to work do you need to plug the antenna into the motherboard?
@@WoahNova It all depends how far away from the wifi source that you are. If you are close then you don't need it. But if it is further than about 3 meters, then yes you will need it.

One thing to point out that I found out through by not RTFM'ing was that if you are using the bottom (Gen 3) M.2_2 drive slot, the bottom most 2 SATA Drive ports are disabled. I could not for the life of me figure out why my Spinning Rust and SSD would not show up.

So this was release after a year of releasing 3rd gen AMD and I still have to wait for few months to get it from stores.
I have a quick question. Should I go for this board (I am obsessed with the look of it), or go for a low end x570. I want to get a Ryzen 5 3600 and a RTX 2070 super.

It's funny how a month later of B550 mobos getting released, Asus is the only company that took those mobos to my country. I never expected the company with the most expensive of the "big four" would be the first one, but at least and the TUF B550M are the first ones to come so most of the gamers are covered.
Just bought this board was watching for anything to look out for or be careful of while building. I didn't know about the bit of plastic as I haven't put it in yet thanks.

Swapping over from the GB board to this was pretty painless except for the CPU supplemental power connectors, and that was my own damn fault for not removing the case fans on the top of my case.
It’s a solid board with easy to understand overclocking utilities/options in the BIOS.
Only problem I have is with the LAN on my board. If it’s set at any speed other that 1gbps (it’s a 2.5 Gig) I can only access my internet at 100Mbps. I have 300 Mbps through Comcast and those speeds are easily reached/exceeded over WiFi (only AC) ASUS wanted me to rma the board but it works well enough with WiFi and set to 1Gig so why bother.
My CPU can hit higher frequencies on this board for longer times and I love the way it looks.
Highly recommend.
I would appreciate if you mention the hdmi typ. still a lot of board trying to get away without 2.0

Trying to decide between the non-wifi version of this and the MSI MAG B550 Tomahawk. Had some bad luck with an "open-box" MAG B550 Bazooka (fails to post after any XMP profile is loaded), but excellent luck with my B350 Tomahawk.

VRMs aren't everything but what if I want to upgrade to a 3950X somewhere down the line? What if I want to put it in a silenced case without a ton of airflow? MSI's first run of B550 boards hit outrageous temps with 105w cpus, this stuff is important to know.

Can you explore the type c usb please as I've heard it's a proper isolated port for clearer, better sound production? If so, this is a game changer for those who record voice and music and don't want to remove clicks, hiss and buzzes and hums etc. Thanks.

If you want my opinion, yes this is a GREAT motherboard if you're on a budget like I currently am.
How about tie-wraps? But seriously, do you think I will have any clearance issues with a top mounted AIO with those huge VRM heat sinks? Im going for a full sized meshify 2 case.

Great video as usual brother. Quick question. Is it normal when turning on the PSU this motherboard turns on my kraken z73 cooler display for a mili sec and the same happens to my steelseries rgb kyb lights. Is it like a power check or somethings wrong with the mobo? Its a new install by the way.

Been enjoying the new pc lately. I have 1 TB gen 3 Sabrent NVMe SSD on the first slot on my B550f gaming mobo which is rated Gen 4... In the future, can I change that to a Gen 4 NVMe SSD and put the Gen 3 to the second NVMe slot on the mobo?... i read somewhere about PCIe lanes being shared when 2 NVMe SSDs are used which can affect some performance or something... Can you help me understand this please?

I currently use this board and bought it recently when I was rebuilding. I put it in the NZXT H710i case and the only issue I have is that I can’t use 3 fans at the top. For example I purchased: Kraken Z73 and it would not fit due to the third fan being blocked by the top left of the motherboard. It blocks the fan so it does not fit in, so Instead i’m forced to use a 2 fan setup (Z63). Is there any solution to this?
I'm fairly certain mine came with dead USB 2.0 headers. There's also the dreaded and fairly common wifi update issue.
Can this run a 3950x overlooked? Also can you convert a non addressable RGB header to addressable header?
is there any difference between using the M.2 slot top or the down one? thinking of buying this Board and never used M.2 before so the drive being in the middle of Cpu cooler and GPU seems dangerous zone to me.
Top one is primary, bottom secondary. The top is full speed PCIE4. The bottom one is not only slower PCIE3 but also disables 2 of your SATA connections.
