Regarding the Clear Cmos issue, just do what Bulldzoid does, connect the reset button wire to the clear cmos jumper. If OC:ing it's more essential to have clear cmos than reset, and you can do reset by holding the power button long enough anyway.

I've got a question that maybe you'll be able to answer! I have a Asus Rog Strix B550-F Gaming, a Ryzen 5 5600X and for now a GTX1660Super (Planning on getting a RTX3070Ti down the road), MY PSU is a Corsair RM650 and it only has the 8pins to 4+4pins but the motherboard has a 8+4pin entry. I've read that it will work more than fine with only the 8pins and the other 4 are only requiered for hard overclocking. Altough this might be true, is there any way to get a cable to expand another 8pins to 4+4pins to connect to the remaining slot?

1st M.2 slot and GPU will be both full speed ran directly by your cpu 4.0 lanes. all of the rest will be limited to pice 3.0 speed using the B550 chipset, X570 provides additional pice 4.0 lanes but it's a little more expensive, you don't actually need more than your main OS storage and a single powerfull graphics running at full pice 4.0 speed.

Hai..would like to ask you regarding B550f gaming wifi mobo..i am getting pcie gen 3 x 1 at m2_2 nvme slot instead of pcie gen 3 x 4..any solution to make it pcie gen 3 x 4?
If the other long pcie 3x4 is populated, the second m2 nvme slot will be reduced from 3x4 to 3x1 (I think). And all 3 short 3x1 pcie slots will be disabled as well.
E has more features, it has two pcie gen 4 x16 that can be run in x8 mode, and also internal usb - type c header, while the F only has one pcie gen 4 x16 slot and no internal usb type c header.
The F model is a slightly stripped down version, it has no double-digit debug display, just one shielded PCI-E x16 slot, 1 less M.2 slot, no RGB on the chipset and no USB-C 3.2 inside the board, and a few less RGB strip and FAN connectors inside.
The Strix F lacks the chipset RGB and internal type c header but the Strix E rear IO sucks compared to Strix F at such a higher price only because of the PCIE lane distribution and at that price and use case better to go with X570 anyways.

If the other long pcie 3x4 is populated, the second m2 nvme slot will be reduced from 3x4 to 3x1 (I think). And all 3 short 3x1 pcie slots will be disabled as well.
What's the best Asus ROG STRIX B550 motherboard for a Ryzen 9 5900X
Does this have a 5V RGB header? And does it support Ryzen 5 3600
it's an AM4 socket so ye
is the b550-f and b560-f are the same?
I thought Jordan Henderson was doing a mobo review

what is the difference between the b550e and x570e??? which one is better?
Awesome vd broh.. i wanna buy mobo B550 E-gaming.
i already bought this mobo B550 E-gaming with Ryzen 7 3700x , PSU ROG 850w white edition and next target will be GPU RTX3070. Should be okay. 🙏🏽😣
Chucked a subscribe brother keep up the great work
Will the b550-f version work instantly with ryzen 5 5600x Or do I have to update the bios?
All x570, and b550 support 5th gen ryzen. I believe
got b550-f wifi and 5600x, requires bios update before boot.
@@kevinc2345 im new to pcs and getting both the b550-f wifi and 5600x. how do I update bios?
@@alexandertapia4072 try google "asus bios flashback". essentially you will need a usb drive and insert it into the usb slot with bios marked.
is the B550-F fully compatable with the nzxt h510 ??
yes
will the chipset block or get in the way of a 5700xt or just any gpu?
Nah, I’ve got the 5500. The GPU reaches to the back of my case.
So, which one do you recommend me to buy? I am really confused: The B550-E Wifi or the B550-F Wifi?
And also, why does the "F" cost less than the "E"?
ward
E have more features like debug led but i honestly recommended the F ( bought myself one 1week ago)
E has more features, it has two pcie gen 4 x16 that can be run in x8 mode, and also internal usb - type c header, while the F only has one pcie gen 4 x16 slot and no internal usb type c header.
I choose E gaming.
The F model is a slightly stripped down version, it has no double-digit debug display, just one shielded PCI-E x16 slot, 1 less M.2 slot, no RGB on the chipset and no USB-C 3.2 inside the board, and a few less RGB strip and FAN connectors inside.
Shall i buy a b550 e oder a x570 e?
b550
B550-F
Should I go for a b550strix f or an Asus tuf x570 as both r the same price in my region pls reply
Go with msi b450 tomahawk less price best mobo
Yea me too.. please I need help regarding which one to Pick For my ryzen 7 3700x..
The Strix F lacks the chipset RGB and internal type c header but the Strix E rear IO sucks compared to Strix F at such a higher price only because of the PCIE lane distribution and at that price and use case better to go with X570 anyways.
Just ordered b550f
Can you use the bios usb like a normal USB port?
They got a perfect blackout board then decided to put those horrendous red lines on it. WTF were they thinking? Ruined the board aesthetic for me.
Exactly why I'll buy another brand ^^
they might give you stickers or a way to remove/replace that like they did with the b450-f when they had a replacement chipset top.
That's why I'm going for the msi gaming plus. Looks really smart, should be on par with the tomahawk but looks so much better

MSI B550 GAMING EDGE WIFI VS MSI MAG B550 TOMAHAWK VS ASUS ROG STRIX B550-F GAMING
WHICH ONE U SUGGEST FOR GAMING?
Can you plz make a video explaining msi x570 tomahawk?
thanksssssssssssss!!!!!!! its INSANE that im checking this out again after almost THREE YEARS! but ive decided to leverage the 5800x3d with the new 7900xt i got for a great price, without going for am5. but i want a fresh build, so gettign a new mobo and system at PEAK am4 is my goal to last 3 years till i upgrade to a 4k 144hz+ build when things become mainstream with next generation to come out. cant wait to start buying stuff, but its sooooooooo critical that i get all of this info and review detail after 5 yeasr of not paying attention ot markets with my b450/r5 2600/gtx1080 life lol. thanks! trying to decide if i stick with BUILT IN wifi especially the SEXY wifi 6e antenna that rog strix offers for a greast b550 price buuuuuuuut idk. too bad i cant use ethernet in my house until i move ot a new apartment but thanks again
B550 Strix F (non-wifi) vs Aorus Pro?
auros pro probably
if u don't care about the asus rgb and ai noise cancelling thing
Are these better than the B550 Tomahawk?
Both good options, as well as the B550 Tomahawk. I don't think you will be disappointed with any of them. Luke
@@KitGuruTech Thanks Luke. Can you explain what all the letters in the motherboard names mean?
Can both support ryzen 9 5950x
Which type of sensor I can connect to thermal header ? Resistance sensor ?
I ordered ASUS ROG STRIX B550-E GAMING replacing my B450 AORUS Elite. I hope it will run my 3700x normally?
Yeh it should, but imo that was more of a sidegrade.
Don't worry, even a light oc 3900x won't be a problem with that board's phases and vrm..
I have the b550-E version and the ssd in the second m.2 slot only runs as fast as 800mb read and write speed which is way to slow. the interface speed says its connected with gen3 and 4 lanes which doesnt make sense cause then it should be much faster.
How long is the wifi antenna cable?
any idea this or B550-A?
How many frames at what settings ?
Which is which? Very confusing to not not point out which is which to begin with...
