I wondered how you guys were doing. It's inspiring to see you take what you have and, with learning new skills, turning it into beautiful, quality furniture pieces. You're not going to buy that craftsmanship at a store!

These end tables are just great! You couldn't buy better:- they're practical, size and storage capacity are exactly to YOUR requirements, YOUR dimensions, and - having made them yourself, you know exactly how they're built so you can repair them easily if you need to. You probably won't need to repair them, because they look so sturdy. They're the perfect style for the room and the furniture, and your kids will probably love them and keep them long after you're gone, because YOU custom made them!
Years ago, my mum and dad came to stay with me for a couple of months, and dad got into my (fairly sparsely equipped) workshop, and knocked out two square stools (like backless chairs) to provide extra seating around my dining table. He made them out of leftover pieces of solid wood planks, and after I painted them, covered the tops with cork and varnished them, they were the most useful pieces of furniture in the house. You could use them for dining seating, take them out into the garden to serve as sidetables next to the loungers, stand on them to reach the top of the kitchen cabinets or change the lightbulbs, use them as bases for a temporary low workbench.... the uses were endless. I immediately asked him to make me two more, which he did, so now I have a set of four. They've withstood the use and abuse for decades now and they're just as sturdy as the day my dad built them. So many of my friends asked where did I get these stools, they're exactly what they want and I told them with pride, my dad made them for me. He also made two small low rectangular stools, which I didn't appreciate much at first, but now that I'm older, and my back is creaking, they're perfect to sit on when cleaning the cupboard under the sink, or weeding the garden, or doing anything which would otherwise need me to be bent over for a long time. It's been nearly twelve years since our dad died, but these sturdy, chunky stools are still going strong, which would have pleased my dad no end.

The furniture looks great and I'm sure that you saved a ton of money with a better finished product than Ikea could ever provide.

Hello friend. Im sorry for your breakdown. I have a suggestion for you. Quit saying you are cursed. Your words matter. You have come a long way with your progress in your home building and all the other things you have done for your homestead and family. Think positive and don't curse yourself and your family when you have problems. Some of them may not happen if you change your mindset and your words. Say positive words over your farm and homestead and family. I think you're doing a great job! Take care.❤

It's great to be able to turn your router table into a jointer. Great project, I love the channel, the house build, the farm and what got me hooked in way back was all the food preservation videos. Fixing to make some bean and bacon with lots of leftover ham. Keep em' comin'.

Your end tables came out nice Jeremy and they look sturdy, that's VIP. I once replaced all our modern furniture in our home with all antique furniture, not only is the furniture beautiful, but it is "sturdy". I may sound old (like my grandfather), but it's true. They don't make furniture with Pride like they used to in this disposable world we live in. I enjoy your videos, Jeremy. I have been around a while in and out watching your videos since the Suburb era. Formally Angel from The Bay (Area) now MountainAngel (we moved from the burbs to the mountains and the rest is history) #Loveit

Love the repurposing of wood scrap to make something beautiful and functional. Think about making a Murphy Bed to multi-purpose a bedroom for an office or studio and when guests stay. Great space saver.

I agree! I really like the ones that have a desktop that swings to stay level as the bed platform lowers. Adds a function without having to move furniture around to lower the bed. And having enclosed side shelving to store blankets, sheets, and pillows is another feature I like. They’ve gotten so innovative with them, it’s fun to see what they come up with.

Hello there, my friend. I'm glad to see you at it again. Hope all is well with you, Jaime and those beautiful girls. We're in the middle of a crazy spring just a few days after it hit 0* with -27 windchills. I'll take it any day of a winter week! The end tables look fabulous. Take care, Cynthia

@@Guildbrookfarm Same here. Lost a 9 year old rooster the very day of the night of the first single digits. Poor old guy saw the forecast and said, "I'm outta here!". I'm glad he didn't have to suffer through that with his arthritic joints, much as I miss him.

It's an incredible job. It's really fascinating how we can imagine or visualize it in our minds, bring it to a blueprint, and then watch up close the process by which it materializes and is brought to reality. I would love to have a side table like that next to my new LC3 sofa from Manhattan Home Design, but I don't think I have the skills, patience, tools, or knowledge to achieve the same results. Thanks so much for sharing the whole process!
