- Furniture is expensive, so I build 2 classic hardwood tables for the price of one particle board piece in store and gave them a nice modern finish I couldn't buy! And you can build them too.

I like how your videos are catered for genuine DIY people. Not using thousands of dollars equipment and keeping it simple. Thanks for your videos. Keep going!
Thanks! That's my goal is to make it all achievable. Glad you like it!
“Genuine DIY people” also have thousands of dollars worth of equipment. $200 x 5 tools is $1000; consequently just a few tools adds up quick. That said, you don’t need a $5000 cast iron table saw to get started. Just buy whatever you can afford and get off the couch!
Great vid, thanks for sharing! I love your color choices
Looks really nice! I really like the look of a stained top with a painted body.
Thanks! I'm stoked with the colour combo, it looks so good
Hahhaha so cool, after been an avid RUclips woodworking watcher I found this jewel.
What a great video, and trust me I seen tons.
Well new member here for sure and looking forward more
That's awesome, I'm glad to hear it! Welcome to the crew
Love the cement porch sidewalk off the deck keep up the good work.
Thanks! Appreciate it
Good job, my wife and I admire your work
Nice video. Lack of shiny, expensive tools more than offset by levels of design and craftsmanship.
Appreciate it! You can make lots of things with relatively basic tools and a few nice touches
Nice work! you make some decent stuff with affordable tools. The quality of the finished end tables is sublime
Thank you! I try to do the best I can with things most people have or can get easily. Glad you like them
love the tables , particularly like the contrast stain & paint ....
Me too!
My favorite CanaDIYan
Thanks
Found your channel today. Not sure how. Many subscribers you had when this video was put out. But you have one more now. I’m sure you will hit your goal. Thanks for sharing.

Good work. Love your style. It’s the sort of project I need to start doing. I have all the tools but not the confidence yet!
Thanks, I'm glad you like it! Well if you have the tools, the best way forward is practice!

Your very talented, great video
Thanks, appreciate it!
Poplar is so nice to work with
It is
BRAVO
Thanks!
Is there anything as satisfying as cutting edge banding?
It's pretty great when you get a nice smooth cut
Beautiful end tables. Thank you for sharing. I'm learning a lot from your videos. Do you use software to design your work pieces?
Thanks, glad you liked them. This was actually the second time only that I threw something together first in SketchUp. So I could show my parents the design first. The other time was the bathroom vanity because I needed to see in person if my measurements and sink would fit before I built it lol.
Nice! ☕️🎸✌️🤘
Thanks!
love your channel. Probably heard it before, but kevin owens looks like you
Thanks! Haha actually I've only heard I look like him a couple times now, most people have been saying Canelo Alvarez. But I think Kevin more so, at least we're both Canadian lol
What is the radius of the bead moulding bit that you used? Such a nice detail!
The bead is 5/16". I have a link to the exact bit I used in the description. I really like that profile, glad you do too
What paint sprayer are you using? Is it hard to figure out?
Did you use topcoat on end table base?
So the drawer front is quarter inch smaller than the opening?
Yup
Plans available. how do i get plans?
They are linked in the description or you can go to Etsy and search Jesse Does DIY
Does that ryobi miter keep accuracy?
Honestly, no. Even mine is off slightly and I cannot get it back straight. I'm looking for another.
@@JessedoesDIYMy first miter was a 10” Hitachi. I still use it for remote work because it’s so portable. For the shop, I finally purchased a big DeWalt compound dual bevel sliding saw and mounted it on a portable work bench. Spent about an hour calibrating all axis to zero, and haven’t had an issue since.
Nice, but made from Poplar?
Thanks. Poplar is probably the most common wood used in painted projects. But it's also the last expensive hardwood most of the time and that's a big jump up from softwood in term of quality, density and robustness. Tried to balance all of that with cost
Agreed, poplar is the best for painted projects. I often come across roadside furniture finds, and during disassembly can salvage quite a bit of poplar, then toss the particle board.
i like the video feel like there was a bit of lacking on the directions as far as measurements and such
Thanks. At first I kind've figure it out as I go. But I do have build plans for them now
'Promo sm' 😅
