Okay, Ahti. I think by the comments below that: 1. You have been sorely missed. People get worried when someone isn't around - it's just human nature, I think. We all missed you. 2. You did an amazing job on this piece. You do an amazing job (that we can see) on all the jobs you post for us to see (only you know where you truly smudged something). 3. Again, human nature: you are your own harshest critic. None of your viewers would even think of criticizing your work. Take comfort that you do make a big difference in our worlds and other worlds you can't even see.🙃

@@josephharvat6202the doors and curved doors seem very Art Noveau. But yeah, it almost seems to have an Art Deco inspiration as well, in the legs. The new stain really suits better than the red.

I have been trying to search for information on this style, but there hasn't been much to go on. In Hungary the square (or at times dots) and three stripes tend to appear on buildings, doors and gates in various arrangements. I think it could perhaps be categorized as geometric secession (late art nouveau) from the 1920-30s era... I hope someone can tell us for sure!🙂

Don’t be so hard on yourself. To me you’re a master of a craftsman n you give each piece you do perfection. Wise choice of color stain, it’s absolutely gorgeous. You can see much of the grain of the birch wood. Yep! It’s a beauty. As you being a master of perfection it’s only the right words to say. You’re still my top dog. ♥️♥️😊👍👍👍👍🌟

Your channel is my favorite restoration channel on RUclips. I like the just watching with the gentle music and occasionally have a voice or two.
I like the things that you pick to redo.
I like that. You're an extremely super naturall perfectionist with all of your work. But don't criticize yourself too much.
Now when I saw this cabinet in the splash picture of RUclips, I immediately said oh yes, I'm watching that one mm
Because the beauty of this cabinet is amazing!! And I love the red color and I had no idea that was a burn mark. Wow.
And when you said the owner didn't like the red, I thought I love it until you got done and what you did was even more beautiful. I mean totally incredibly beautiful.
I also just love to watch your technique and how you do things because you know when you start to watch somebody refinish something you're like. Oh I could do that and I'd never say that the way I'm watching you because your years of experience create is such an amazing video.
And the video skills are good too.
The jigs you make to do things the different tools just all of it. Knowledge is King.
This came out beautifully. I love it. I wish it was in my house.❤❤❤

Gorgeous as always. I like the new stain color the owner chose. It feels like a lot of Art Noveau is in that med brown with lighter accent color palate. And the fearless cutting off of the wormed legs, knowing you could replicate the angled cuts was awesome. Never in a million years could I cut something like that correctly. 😂

I got a whole lot of respect for the amount of parts you were able to salvage and reuse. I feel like most folks, myself included, woulda just replaced the warped top and base instead of putting in the effort to make them usable again. There’s something about keeping the original materials intact that feels very respectful to the original piece and the person who made it ❤

As usual, I'm fascinated by :
    - understanding the object before repairing it
    - the intelligence of the plan, step by step
    - the skill and delicacy with which you treat furniture
    - your increasingly brilliant tools
    - your artistic sense
    - your respect for the spirit in which the object was created
    - and of course the result
I wonder why you mentioned art nouveau because I thought it was art deco, I thought art nouveau was softer and rounder and had a flowery decor. But I'm not an expert and I like to learn.
