    Been keeping various other colours of ochara,s.Had a reasonable success mostly with silver/blue who did lay similar to the electric blues, again keep with plecos but am a little biased,I've found they will mix breed in separate areas with Kribensis who do seem to leave each species well apart, feeding I totally agree,I find fresh frozen bloodworm have have had success with hatching but only perhaps 40 spry,found your video well informative,so peace my friend will keep you posted on mine too 🦊

      @@fishn4k969 its a pleasant surprise to hear back from you. I would like your opinion though . I have multiple slightly bigger Oscars in my main aquarium. I would like to introduce these Acaras to that bigger tank . However the EBAs seem to be chasing each other a lot and seem to fight constantly even though they are barely 2.5 inches each . I worry about what would happen when I put them into the Oscar tank . Do you have any experience regarding that ? ( PS. The Oscars aren't that big and they are all quiet and peaceful)

      @pritamdumbre7885 Hello again, so let's see. I wouldn't advise adding the EBAs into the larger tank. The Oscars will out grown the EBAs very fast and they might become dinner for them. It seems like you may have males and they're trying to establish dominance amongst themselves. Not sure but it's ultimately your call. Hope this helps.

But one has gone off hiding all the time, but the other that hasn't is out and putting the much larger bossy solitary discus through some counter bossiness. My discus has killed 6 of his own kind, so have given up trying to house him with other discus. I just wish I knew why the other is hiding? Is this normal behaviour?

    • @fishn4k969
      @fishn4k969  5 лет назад

      Hi, thanks for watching and the sub, I really appreciate it. I think they'll do excellent in the 55 gallon tank you're gonna be housing them in. Sand or gravel will be fine, gravel is my preference since it's a bit easier to maintain. The EBAs I've had never really sifted through the gravel so I never worried about them swallowing gravel or anything like that. Remember that they will get very aggressive when spawning and defend the eggs so have a plan in place in case you've gotta move their tankmates if they have any. Hope this helps & best of luck.

      Hi Jose, yes I think that you should be ok with the 4 in there as long as there aren't any other fish in there. My only concern with the 55 is that it may be too narrow for them when they become fully grown since they do get fairly big and thick. If you do plan on doing a community tank I would personally reduce the # of EBAs to 1 instead of 4. Hope this helps, and thanks for watching.

      You’re better off with a 40 breeder than the 55 long, as the 40 is deeper tank, so they have room to turn when they are adults.
