agresticumbra The Redwood version is the absolute best version of that song.
He also collaborated with Christopher Cross on Ride Like the Wind
J Carver I’ve seen that one too. But that whole concert, Outside... it’s something special. His diets with Shanice were great. You heard the crowd kinda lukewarm on her coming out the first time. He said her name the second and those people were screaming for her. Love them together.

Now I know why I've been so depressed most my life lol. My parents raised me on good music. Nothing compares to it. I'm like a broken lover!!! Lol.
Can't stop the Michael, the lushiousness and the backups, the band, pure deliciousness again.
One of the most distinctive and identifiable voices ever! Everyone wanted to sing with him, have him cameo on backgrounds and tour with him, The Doobies, SD. Yes, he's the epitome of 'blue-eyed' soul. Keep groovin, Jamel!
I keep forgetting how great this song is...
Lwize I see what you did there.😆
Yacht Rock. It's awesome! Check out Christopher Cross
kittylynnlpn 2006 Oh yeah! Ambrosia, Al Stewart, Jay Ferguson, Little River Band, Pablo Cruise, Paul Davis etc etc etc!

You know Jamel....... The thing like most about your reactions is, your honesty.
Have mercy! Michael McDonald is AWESOME to this day! Smooooth as Silk...
Jeff's triplets on the bass drum in the last 30 seconds are phenomenal
This features three of my favourite musicians.
Guitar: Steve Lukather
Drums: Jeff Porcaro
Bass: Louis Johnson
Also Greg Philliganes
Yes, and all 4 of them are on "Thriller".
He sang backround vocals on the Steely Dan song Peg you reacted to...Sings the word Peg in the song! Such a great voice.
Damn my dude I thought you was gonna say "REGULATORS MOUNT UP!" LOL!
Yes! Jeff Porcaro was a beast on the drums! One of the best pocket drummers ever. Awesome beat. Thanks for sharing.

My mom played this when I was a kid in the 80's, non-stop.
So much pain and heartache in those lyrics! Puts me right back to times in my life I’ve been crushed...
He is one of the most prolific collaborators ever in the music industry.
