I’m really enjoying making this pattern! I’m doing it in between other projects, so it’s not as fast as you made it, but would be if that was my only project. I’m going to finish it today so I can get it to my long arm lady. Excited to see it completed! Thanks.
Hi Kelly, new to your channel, and I have enjoyed the couple tutorials I've watched. I am a huge fan of CT fabrics, I've purchased so many kits and yardages over the past 10 years or so. I have found over all that their 'brand' made in the USA is as good as if not better than the 'big name brands'. I'm sure over time you will come to love everything about this company. I have a very useful tip for your needles. use them on your sewing room walls to hold small projects and or notes of future projects. The needles organ microtex 80/12 is ones I mostly use as well. They are still sharp enough to push into drywall, and best of all they don't make holes in my fabric blocks. yea !
I do enjoy watching your video. Here’s a tip on starching. When starching yardage , I immerse and soak 20 minutes to get fibers saturated. I use my washer spin cycle only to wring. And then I dry in my dryer. As soon as dry, I take it out to avoid wrinkles. I neatly fold until I iron on my ElnaPress after a dampen with a water spray bottle. I just did 8 yards of fabric. I wrap the yardage on a 6x25 ruler like Bonnie K Hunter taught us. I store until use, I may have touch up iron.
@@manuelashannon1369 thanks for the tip! I tried it your way today. I have a front load washer that is really good at spinning, lol. I may have to make a stronger starch. But it was fast:)
I keep a quilt in my van for my grandchildren for when we go on a trip. Since there are usually 4 of them with us, I needed a second quilt. I’m going to make this for my second quilt. I think I will use 2-1/2” wide sashing so it’s a bit smaller. Thanks for a great pattern! I’ve cut out most of the fat quarters into the squares and rectangles, so can’t wait to put them together.
Do you use pre-cuts? I don't do any quilts with out instructions for pre-cuts. Preferably 10" squares, 5" squares, or jelly rolls. Nice quilt that would go even quicker with pre-cuts.
This would be handy for a quilt quit project when needed. That size may be perfect for a Veteran or a child. I keep hearing a woman calling down some boys in this video. There are no children around here at this time of day. Thank you.
cute and looks easy just what we all need from time to time. thank you for the tutorial. Elissa
You are so welcome!

Great quilt. Thanks for including your “real sewing” moments-needle troubles and solution and oiling. 😊
Glad it was helpful! I always wonder if you guys want to see all the boring stuff :)
Thank you so much for spending your time and talents to teach this fun quilt ❤️❤️
You are so welcome! I love getting to share my tips and whoopsies!

I like the colors of your quilt. It looks great.
It is a fun collection from Connecting Threads- I really did enjoy working with their fabrics.

Yay! It goes together so fast!

I love pre cuts too! but strip piecing feels so much faster!
I use a pill bottle for used pins and needles. When full tape closed.
Good Idea! Much smaller foot print and ready to throw away!
Can you straight line quilt with the JUKI
Yes!!! For sure!
Is there a video on the Tula quilt that’s on the frame?!
Not on the tula fabric but its the same quilt I made with the strawberries here ruclips.net/video/Yg1dEot7-7g/видео.html

Cutting horizontally is scary! I hold my breath when your blade gets near your fingers 🫣
@WVDoxieMom4760 sorry! Not trying to make you cringe! I promise if I have an injury I won't post it in a video without warning;)

I love it! And you could be hearing me? I certainly correct them, but I played it back and can't hear anything , weird!
Was it me or did I hear you telling the boys to be quiet 🤫
hehe! Im sure you did :)
@@pickinstitchesany of us that have had children will totally understand! something about be quiet opens the door to any noise in the universe!😂
How big is the quilt without the sashing?
These blocks are huge, 18.5 unfinished :)
Where is the free pattern? Or do I need to listen more carefully as you cut?😂
Here you go! Free pattern here: tinyurl.com/PickinStitchesFreeFQpattern
It was in the description but that was a long one :)
