It’s like magic! You began with leftover strips, sewed them randomly together, made them into half square triangles, sewed them into rows, and finished with a lovely quilt top. All from leftover strips! Now that’s what I would call excellent fabric management. Well done!

But after a few minutes, your voice, the strips being sewn together, and the light background music just lulled me right to sleep. 😴😴😴 Sweet dreams! So, tonight I watched it on my desktop, and thoroughly enjoyed the WHOLE thing! Thanks for the very nice video. I really like your style of videos, where you do the narration over the video, with just light music in the background. And I like how your explanations are clear and concise, and the videos are so well edited, there is not a lot of extra chatting, interruptions, or hemming and hawing. Very well done videos! 🤩

Such a great use of scrap strips! A quick tip I use to make sewing rows together is: get that top seam to point up & the bottom one down to nest them that first set of rows, so much easier! Hope that helps someone out there in RUclips land 😎.
I have to tell you, I made these blocks. And, like the OCD person I am, I laid them out, in pinwheel fashion, and set them in a way I thought I would like. Then I had the OCDness to label each row and column! Feeling rather frustrated from the blocks falling off my makeshift design wall (aka “tablecloth”), I went back and watched this video again. Game changer!!! You said just to pull whatever and not think it too much. I have to tell you what I wound up with was something so much better than what I had before, and my mind was rested! I also used your tip for sewing and pressing the rows. That went so fast!
This was very enlightening! I really like the way you put the strips and blocks together with a relaxed attitude! The consistent background really brought it all together! Lucky little girl! I know she will love it…right now she will love the feel of the backing!

Hi. I love this great idea to make a baby quilt. I've been using up my 2.5 inch strips since I started watching your channel....and now finally i can see progress in my shoe boxes of strips. I ''ve made several scrappy quilts. Thanks so much for your inspiration ! Why store my scraps?? Now I have several lovely quilt tops from my scraps. My favorite one was using up my crumbs and making 12.5 inch squares from tiny pieces sewn together. I'll send a picture when I get that one quilted. Keep up the great work!!!

I did like seeing the way you did your row block pressing, as I too don't pre press anymore. I found I was going back to press again too often. what a great way to recycle scraps. Years ago a friend of mine retreated then boxes of material that was going to the dump. Ten boxes had all been dumped. There are so many clothes that could be recycled. One of my projects with my material that was given me, I made 13 Pillow cases to a needy family of six.
Ooof that hurts my hoarding tendencies. I think there should be a section of stained and ripped clothing in thrift stores for sewers and crafters. We’re going to cut it up anyway
You have the best videos! I love that you share how to use our scraps! I remember when I first started quilting and thought I will never get enough scraps to make something…boy was I wrong! So thankful for your videos and ideas to clean out my scrap collection!

Since I have stitched many of these 3 in 1 strip sets, I prefer to not cut them apart until both side of the center line are sewn. Then, I cut them apart. Oh, it may save 2 minutes, but I don't have to pick up & position another square set every time. This pre ents th I se extra shoulder/arm movements & my eyes get tired at 70+ years young. Beautiful colors and quiet background chosen! Don't forget to label the finished quilted piece!
You had great strips. Your choice of strips for a baby quilt was excellent. The pattern was easy to copy, even by beginners. I have two jelly rolls that I have been uncommitted on a pattern. With your pattern I could make a quilt to fit my bed easily! I will be watching more of your videos. THANKS!

I'm 77 and a great grandma of 10 . I can see this as a way of doing a little at a time and then put my feet up and read for little while and return to the project.
