I love scrap quilts, especially when the scraps are from prior projects. Sewing is a nice walk down memory lane, at least when I remember the projects previously made. Plus, I don’t feel any pressure to sew perfect. Good enough is good enough. And the end results are always great!!! Thanks for sharing a scrappy quilt passion.
I absolutely love this series! Not only is it scrappy quilting which is my favorite, but the patterns are simple and relatively quick and easy sewing! I will be sad if the strip buckets ever become empty. 😂
I am loving your strip series. I love seeing someone working with their own scrap pile and not just precut sets of strips or squares that already match. I have lots of scraps to use up before I allow myself to buy any more fabric. I also like that you are working with pins; I was starting to feel like I was the only person who still sewed with pins rather than clips.
I am enjoying this series so much. Your work is incredible. I have loved everything you have done so far. Although I do not have anywhere near the amount of 2 1/2” scraps you have I still find this series so interesting and I have saved every video so far. Thank you for doing this.
Thank you for these videos. I love them and especially liked that you did not iron your strips first. If I had to iron all my old strips first, I wouldn't have been so eager to start. Thanks!
I just love this series! Great use of scraps, thanks for sharing all your good ideas. I don’t have nearly as many 2 1/2” strips as you do, but these videos make me wish I did. You are welcome to send me some of yours lol.
I used to look at the finished quilt and usually decided it was too complicated! But since watching your video's I now look at them differently and consider taking a chance on them. Thankyou for explains things so clearly! 😊🎉❤
I just found your series. It took me less than a couple minutes to tell myself that your machine was a bernina, and y😮es, it was a model I either currently had or one I owned. These days, I am down to 3 models, my bernina, a juki tl-2010q, and a babylock destiny. I am starting from the back, lol. Thanks for the memories.
Great instructions. Easy to follow. Will also be making this with children’s fabric and another one in all floral prints. Can’t wait to try this technique!
Loovee the halloween and christmas quilts. . I AM ENJOYING THE VIDEOS, AND THANK YOU FOR THE FREE PATTERNS, AND I AM A BEGINNER, SO THEY LOOK LIKE I WILL ENJOY THEM. THEY DON'T LOOK TOO DIFFICULT TO MAKE.
I love both quilts. 💗 I really think the border you added to the Christmas quilt was a great idea. It really popped and made everything come together so nicely. Thank you for sharing. 😊🌹🦋
I wouldn't press seam allowance to one side on a two-strip set, because when I have six, I noticed that you had to re-press some of them the other way. So set the seam by pressing the two, but don't press to one side till you have all six. Saves time.
Love these quilts & runners!! I'm new at quilting, so I ordered me some scraps & hope to be able to put together a scrappy quilt. These series are helpful to me to be able to hopefully formulate a plan.
Fun, easy, scrappy quilts! I love it and like others I wish I had more scraps! And I love the interior border you added to the Christmas quilt. Thank you for all you do!
Yeah!!! I have been waiting for this video! I absolutely love this series as I have so many 2 1/2 strips and just want ideas on how to use them. So far I have done several of these to stash bust. Thank you, so much fun!!!
This is just wonderful! You are a great teacher and I really appreciate that you sound so proud of yourself. As sewers of any kind, so often I hear folks downplaying their finished project. It was so nice to see and hear how much you love making quilts. Thanks for the video, I look forward to each one.
Binge watched all the videos in this series and enjoyed every one! Perfect for making scrappy quilts from leftovers with very little waste. I also enjoy this kind of sewing; it's very relaxing to me. Thank you for sharing!
This series is great, I now cut my scraps into 2 1/2 inch strips so I can make the different patterns. You are so easy to listen to. Keep the ideas coming. Thank you for sharing your thoughts and expertise.
Love this project and all of the other ones as well. Such great ideas! We all have this size strips and you graciously provide us with the inspiration to get creative. WIN! WIN!
These quilts look so wonderful - and all from your scraps 🎉😃 Sometimes just sewing like this is just so good to do, and when I’ve seen your gorgeous quilts I’m going to have a go next time I can 👍 Thanks for sharing 👏👏🇬🇧
Hi just found your series, and thought of a project from your box of blocks….. how about a 12 patch with a block for each month, you could use your Halloween fabric scraps and Christmas scraps for oct and December respectively. Red white and blue for 4th July, autumnal colours for thanksgiving, military colours for Veterans Day, winter colours for January, florals for spring and summer…just a few ideas as being based in the uk don’t know all the special days in your calendar. Depending on the block size this could be a lap quilt or something for a single bed.
I took up pieceing and quilting after 40 years about 3 or 4 years ago. The internet and creators like you have been truly inspiring; but, one thing I figured out is that I really didn't want to have buckets and buckets of "spare parts!" So, I have been pretty careful about patterns that use up as much of the fabric as possible. Evenso, I still have lots of stuff left over, so am looking forward to implementing your great ideas for using it all up! Thanks for great content!
You have the sweetest voice that makes your videos so enjoyable in addition to the creation of some amazing quilts!
Thank you so much 🙂
I agree! Easy to understand and not too fast! Great!
I agree! I love her voice!

Thank you 😁

Thank you for these videos. I love them and especially liked that you did not iron your strips first. If I had to iron all my old strips first, I wouldn't have been so eager to start. Thanks!
GASP! That’s exactly what my stash would look like if I let it loose.
😂😂😂😂😂
Both quilts are fantastic! The border on the Christmas quilt really keeps it from being too busy. Enjoying this series on 2-1/2 inch strips!
Your ideas of various patterns to use leftover 2.5" strips are very inspiring. Thanks for the demonstrations!
I love this series! There seems to be so much less worry and more fun with projects made from scraps!
A wonderful lesson in overcoming one's fears of free motion quilting. Thanks for showing us how to keep the faith in ones self.

Wonderful!
They look fabulous. I love the border on the Christmas one.
I agree...the border is perfect.
On the Halloween quilt, I love the fabric that is black with large green dots...makes it look like some eyes peering out between the other fabrics.
Thanks so much! 😊
What a great technique of nesting the strips as your joining sets. ❤
I really love your teaching style. You make it easy to understand. ❤❤❤
Thank you! 😃
I have more fun making quilts from leftovers than anything else I make. I just love seeing the scrap piles shrink and the new things grow.
I absolutely agree! I especially love making stained glass blocks.
Seeing mug rugs and coasters for Halloween
I love these quilts it just made my first jelly roll. Quilt was a lot of fun.

I have loved this series!!!! Maybe in the future use some 5” scrappy quilts.
🤔
@@thequiltedforestmaybe she thinks about 5" strips? Simply squares, I assume, would work the best.
