AC/DC Live At River Plate was recorded in Buenos Aires, Argentina, in December 2009. AC/DC played to a sold-out crowd of nearly 200,000 3 days in a row...it's about 60,000 per night. Nice reaction thank you.. 🥰🥰
You forgot to mention that the band and crowd were so loud that they damaged the facade on neighboring buildings leading to the powers that be banning concerts of this size at the facility.
this was the best show of the history of ac/dc, 3 nights...75.000 people each night....the seismographs detected the jump of the people like an earthquake...the buildings around the stadium had to be repaired after those 3 shows, and i can confirm it....i went to the fucking 3rd day!!!! it was the best show of my life!!!
AC/DC in concert is incredible. I saw most of the metal bands in concert back in the 80s, and while most of them were really good, AC/DC took it to another level. The most simplistic staging of any group at the time, they just came out and proceeded to put everyone on their feet and no one sat down for the rest of the concert.
This whole live gig was way off the chart, and not a bad track done the whole night. I can't imagine the adrenalin rush the band must have had to come out and see the size of that adoring crowd, and probably the world's biggest mosh-pit! Just an incredible and iconic rock gig from all concerned, both on the stage and off it. 🙋♂ 🙋♂
I love watching these classic rock groups play in Central and South America. The crowds are always huge and they know and love every song. The most amazing thing to me is that the average age of the crowd looks to be 30 years younger than it would be if they were playing in the states. Rock on brothers. I may be silver haired like the band but I’ll still be there when you come to Texas!🔥🤘🏻🤘🏻😎
AC/DC Live At River Plate was recorded in Buenos Aires in December 2009 when nearly 200,000 fans (over 3 sold-out nights) thunderously welcomed AC/DC back after a 13-year absence from Argentina. ❤️👍🏻🙏😎☀️ xox #RockGods
Saw them live on their Razor's Edge Tour in 1991 at the local arena, they got on stage at 8:30PM and the show ended close to midnight, over 3 hours of playing nothing but hit songs. They would play a few notes and the crowd immediately knew the song and started singing. I have chills just thinking about it. 🤘🏻
River plate in Argentina is famous for their 300,000 plus seating for concerts. This is one example, one of the biggest shows they ever had there. 300,000 plus !
yo estuve en esa noche......pasaron muchos anios.......tengo esa energía en mi alma todavía...y creo que no se va ir ni muerto.....GRACIAS AC/DC !!!! GRACIAS !!!!!
I was one of the lucky 70 k fans at donington in 1991 to see DC and all theses yrs later it’s still my greatest experience And I’ve. Seen some big acts
Heyyyy... not only my favorite AC/DC song, but one of my favorites of all time! And I also saw their tour in the early 90s, and consider this one of the great openers ever. Rock onnnn! 🤘😎👍
Quick quote from an Opera journalist who interviewed Brian Johnson. "I asked about his warm up technique" he replied " i go to the bog love, look in the mirror and roar" then i know I'm good to go!
I actually can't believe you haven't seen this one, it's one of their most iconic live performances. Well better late than never, as they say 😁 Speaking of covers, can't remember if you saw Tommy Johansson's cover of this song? Nothing beats the original of course, but it's a great cover.
Hey Guy's Just Freaking Amazing Thank You. One of my ALL TIME favorite Bands Ever, (Angus Young), Lead Grittiest is at No 35, in the All Time top 100 best rock Guitarist Ever. This concert was done at River Plate Stadium in Argentina, there were around 100.000 people in there, So now from me, your are going to get requests for (Hells Bells), and (Highway to Hell) Both from the iconic (Live At River Plate, December 2009. Love You Guy's
Sorry to correct a couple of things Terry. The concert was at River Plate, Buenos Aires, Argentina. They sold out to 200,000 but that was over 3 nights so average attendance was around 68,500 (source is BBC and jam base). I don’t know any venue in the world that can handle 800,000. 😊 But still, that’s a hell of a lot of humanity in one stadium!
Thank you for the info. I quoted the numbers I quoted, just remember someone telling me them numbers, and yes, I knew it was Argentina I just got carried away thank you
That concert had 80k attendance and when they started jumping it registered on the Richter scale. On another note, i can’t wait to see you two react to Ren, the guy is phenomenal.
Well done. If anybody needs a reason for an ACDC party listen to the full concert set list (up loud) live from River Plate in Argentina. It is amazing with a special 17 min version of Angus going nuts with his solo of Let There Be Rock
I've seen Pink Floyd, The Rolling Stones, Black Sabbath, Kiss, Metallica, Guns and Roses, Panter, Ted Nugent, White Zombie, Judas Priest to mention a few but I've never had the chance to see AC/DC
Saw them in the 80's. They've always had SO much energy on stage. I'm surprised that they can still be so energetic. I'm about a decade younger and don't have that kind of energy lol. First band I completely love. Second took a while to come around. I can't get enough Liliac either. 🤘 Awesome reaction by the way ❤
More River Plate please!!! Not too shabby for a bunch of old dudes!!!!! AC/DC played 3 straight nights at River Plate in Dec 2009 to a total of 220,000+ ppl so says their official web site so that’s 73,000+ a night!!!!! Brian Johnson the lead singer was 63, Angus Young the lead guitarist was 55 and the rest of the boys were in their 50’s!!! Legendary is all I can say. These Argentina fans are the best on the planet and they appreciate good hard driving rock and roll. Just look at all the different ages in the crowd. It transcends generations. Unbelievable!! So says Austin Tx!!!! 🤣🤣🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸😍😍😍🥳🥳😎😎🍸
Hey guys, it's Michael from Australia here. When I was in High school I found ac/dc. Have loved then since. They are timeless. By the way, John Farnham can do ac/dc.
Acca Dacca didn't seem to get a justified recognition back home. I think times have changed. I don't take much notice these days but, I think Angus Young has pulled his socks up.❤❤❤
if ~25k-30k people jumping can cause structural damage to a nearby bridge, cause a big spikes on local seismographs, etc... imagine what 60k+ people jumping will do... the 2 things mentioned with 25k-30k people has happened at metaltown festival in gothenburg, sweden, when it was still a thing (2013 was its last year as a big open air metal festival, they tried to keep it alive as an indoor metal festival up to 2016 but it failed). metaltown festival 2008, in flames played cloud connected... municipality complained on the festival for the audience causing damage to things around the festival area from their jumping metaltown festival 2009, slipknot played spit it out... again complaint from the municipality metaltown festival 2010, both in flames and rammstein headlined separate nights of the festival, anders friden told the audience about the previous complaints and didnt want the festival (and the band) to get another complaint, didnt help, crowd still jumped too much on the pier causing vibrations that structural damaged the bridge AND the pier (made of mud, dirt, concrete and asphalt). even during rammsteins time the night after the crowd jumped too much for the bridge and pier 2011 they had to relocate the festival to the grassfields by göteborg galoppbana and gothenburg city airport (near säve, north-north-west of the city)
The constant tapping part throughout the song on Angus' guitar is the hardest part he has to keep up in ACDC's catalog. Usually if he has a little fumble or it gets a little muddy, it is this song. But that is not the case here. I put Angus (and Malcolm back there behind him) as in the top 10 guitarists of all time.
Brian Johnson was born in 1947, this was recorded on 2009, do the math.. The rest of the band were in their 50's, which makes this all the more impressive
If I understand correctly Argentina really likes AC/DC and this set of three concerts was the bands first time in Argentina in fifteen years or so. This made the concert very popular with a sold out show every night. They crowd really went overboard to let the band know they were loved. For another big crowd show if you haven’t seen it watch “Enter Sandman” by Metallica in their concert in Moscow. After all a crowd of 1.6 million people can’t be all wrong, correct?
grrrreeeeeat reaction! next thing i'd do is watch the metalica moscow concert enter sandman. over a million people in person and they performed perfectly. check it out.

@@stevedavis5704 wow, did no know that, thanks.

River Plate is a soccer stadium in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Argentinian crowd, best in the world. Good reaction. Greettings from Argentina

These guys are royalty here in Australia. Known by every aussie simply as...Acca Dacca!!
Thank you Australia for these legendary individuals. Seen them in Vancouver back to back nights in the 90's and will never see anything better ever!!
Acca Dacca for ever, i followed the truck around Melbourne, when they did, it's a long way to the top if you want a sausage roll 😁😄😄😄
For those about to Rock. We Salute you. 🎉

It was a solid 6 on the "Richter-Scale".:)
I've seen this a number of times and it just gets better. I would love to have been in that crowd that night. Brilliant.

73000 per night,3 nights in a row,not bad!
AC/DC was the best concert by far I've ever been to
How about those 200 thousands plus backup singers LOL now that's a concert
Argentine rock concert audiences are bat-shit crazy....and I love it!!!!!
Geez! Did the entire country of Argentina show up?

AC/DC en el "Estadio de River Plate", Buenos Aires, Argentina... 💪💪💪
Iconic. Is that another word for fantastic, wonderful, phenomenal, or terrific?
Keep in mind that these rockers are in their 60s during this concert!!!!
Heyyyy... not only my favorite AC/DC song, but one of my favorites of all time! And I also saw their tour in the early 90s, and consider this one of the great openers ever. Rock onnnn! 🤘😎👍
I'm not well-travelled, but what struck me most was all those Argentinians singing in English.
Amigo, yo escucho AC/DC desde 1980 cuando iba al colegio, así que supongo que me conozco las letras.
“Today we had a 6.66 earthquake on the Richter scale”
“Oh no! Sorry, it was just an AC⚡️DC concert!”
I was at that concert and it was something extraordinary. It was three nights with an approximate audience of 60,000 and 70,000 people.
I was 9 years old when Adam and the Ants hit our TV’s in the Uk it was a big moment, that had me hooked for life
River Plate Stadium, Buenos Aires, Argentina 🥰❤

84000 capacity, but floor also full, so you can guess how many people are there
I actually can't believe you haven't seen this one, it's one of their most iconic live performances. Well better late than never, as they say 😁 Speaking of covers, can't remember if you saw Tommy Johansson's cover of this song? Nothing beats the original of course, but it's a great cover.

Doesn't get more legendary or iconic than this.
Everything from the River Plate concert is reaction-worthy but the best ones (imo) are YOU SHOOK ME ALL NIGHT LONG and HIGHWAY TO HELL.
I've seen Pink Floyd, The Rolling Stones, Black Sabbath, Kiss, Metallica, Guns and Roses, Panter, Ted Nugent, White Zombie, Judas Priest to mention a few but I've never had the chance to see AC/DC
Madness a new one from Liliac is a real headbanger
200,000 , I have been outdoors to 45,ooo people and this was 5 times that. They seat 86,ooo but that huge floor can hold over 100,ooo, crazy
And these dudes were like strongly 50+ during this time already!
I have been to see them twice and the concert was just phenomenal.
Mentioned covers---absolute best cover I have ever heard of this song was done by Ministry. Uncle Al definitely hits a home run.
considered by many as the best rock concert ever
Rock is the best music everrrrr!!!

Same concert in UK was 70,000 per night and sold out in 30 mins. And I was there 😊
300K , wow, what a concert
Funny, stadium fits 100K at max even after renovations
More River Plate please!!! Not too shabby for a bunch of old dudes!!!!! John Farnham can do just about anything 😁❤️🇦🇺👍🏼
Cuando vinieron a Barcelona fue increíble
AC/DC 👍🤘
Greatest band of all time. Period. And Mals last tour 😢

ALL YOU NEED IS AC/DC 🤟
Brian Johnson was 62 years old when they performed this concert
ACDC são lendários

the 2 things mentioned with 25k-30k people has happened at metaltown festival in gothenburg, sweden, when it was still a thing (2013 was its last year as a big open air metal festival, they tried to keep it alive as an indoor metal festival up to 2016 but it failed).
metaltown festival 2008, in flames played cloud connected... municipality complained on the festival for the audience causing damage to things around the festival area from their jumping
metaltown festival 2009, slipknot played spit it out... again complaint from the municipality
metaltown festival 2010, both in flames and rammstein headlined separate nights of the festival, anders friden told the audience about the previous complaints and didnt want the festival (and the band) to get another complaint, didnt help, crowd still jumped too much on the pier causing vibrations that structural damaged the bridge AND the pier (made of mud, dirt, concrete and asphalt). even during rammsteins time the night after the crowd jumped too much for the bridge and pier

You had the official version available but somehow managed to find a video with Spanish subtitles. Incredible stuff haha.
We just used the link that was provided to us lol
River plate Argentina 2009 🤘🇮🇹🇪🇺
Bandera ARGENTINA celeste y blanca!!!
The song came out in 1990 The original video
It's awesome watch it and you will see.
Steven and the seaguls is worth a listen.
Oh yes totally agree there. Their cover of this song is absolutely brilliant
I love this them a lot thanks 🤘🤘🤘
Hard to believe these guys are in their 50's here
Finally someone noticed the camera was shaking slightly because of the bouncing crowd.

there's like 30,000 on the floor!
i was in that concert 🤯
The only reason there were that amount of people there is because the stadium wouldn't hold any more 🤘
You really need to see 2Cellos performing this. It’s 🔥
Yall are good kids.
Preporučila bih vam da čujete 2Cellos i njihovu izvedbu istoimene pjesme!

Do yourselves a favor and do A Whole Lot of Rosie from this same show! Trust me...
I wonder what it reached on the Richter Scale.
You have to do Highway to Hell and Whole Lotta Rosie from the same concert, fabulous.
