*Wait, that's illegal*
its free real estate
I’m here what’s wrong.
It’s the same as my Xbox one x background so it’s not any different 😂
*has a Xbox background on his ps4 interface *
Wait that’s illegal
the whole console war thing is off.
If you aren’t seeing more options for color depth and video modes try switching to HDMI instead of auto detect and once you do that go back to resolution and set to 1080p or 1440p (if your tv supports it) and 60Hz or 120Hz (if supported). Go back to color depth or video modes and you should see more options pop up.
Thank dood
thanking youuuh a year later
Man you are legend!
Omg this helped so much, I didn’t realize that my settings were lower than they should be. Thank you.
Snyder Isida it’s a TV/Monitor thing. Too many variations and variables in people’s setup. That’s why they have these options to ensure that the majority of people can get the best image quality with whatever display they have.
How pissed would you be if the console defaulted to 4K HDR from the box and therefore failed to display a picture when hooked up with a much more common 1080p screen?
@@xeo.9 dude I’ve been using a series x for almost a year with only 24 bits when I could’ve been using 36 🤦🏻♂️
@@johnny05100 I also had it on 24 but didnt tested yet on 36 bits is it a huge boost in graphics quality?
His money was in one place, but his heart is somewhere else.
😂😂😂😂
Are you using Xbox or ps4
also his xbox is now a ps4
I watched this video, saw I was playing on the lowest settings possible, when I did all of this, I was amazed. Great tutorial🙏
Thank you so much bro! Playing Horizon 5 right now and your tips just made the graphics so much better! ❤️
This really helped, now my my xbox is really glowing and colorful so coool
The color space is what made it work for me thanks!
Thanks for this. Didn't even think about some of these things. I got the Xbox one X, and as soon as I had HDR and 4k on, everything went warm and weird looking. This should definitely fix that.
Make sure your TV is set up to use HDR correctly then make changes to the Xbox One X. I had this issue with my Samsung then I find it in the settings on the TV that needed to be enabled.
@@Samuelc79 it automatically enable when I go in game. Still goes very warm colour.
Gamers enjoying games at the wrong colour warm is where it should be lol I don’t like my snow being blue lol its meant to be white not blue and your eyes adjust to the warm tone after a while white looks white because it’s eye shock
i have been looking for a video for this for so looooong thank you
Great video! However, the "Check off as much as possible" may not be the best advice. I use Plex, when using it, it will automatically downgrade my videos to 60, 50, or even 24Hz. I found by unchecking "Allow 50" it forced my games and apps to run native 240 on my OLED. Just be weary when making codec choices, understand what your tv can do and what the xbox is expecting to do. This is a media center.
Thank you m8 happy new year
Wow thank you so much man this actually really helped me out when playing games, props to you my guy
Excellent video, keep up the good work. 👍
Do this and mess up YOUR image! If u want good image with more hz i suggest 1080p at 120 hz if your tv can support it. If you want 4k image you can run it at 60 hz no more most tv's cant support both 4k and 120 hz. Use game mode for less lag input or vivid for a more sharp image. I have an 55" lg and i run 4k at 60 hz for video streaming i also use vivid mode for a more sharp image as my tv supports it. You can change setting at will for gaming and watching movies if you use your tv for both.
i agree!! i have mine on game mode the whole time cause it doesnt give me a delay! on my controller
should it be on 8 bit ?
@@Obey.The.Walrus 8bit/24 bits per pixel is for normal sdr TVs I’m sure. 10 bit/30bits per pixel is for hdr TVs and 12bit/36 bits per pixel is for Dolby vision tvs
If you have a older tv that isn’t Dolby certified or hdr I would use 24 bit or else the colours would probably look bad.
Also I wouldn’t use 120hz on Xbox, get a pc or mobile phone. Most games are capped at 30/60fps so your only really getting a benefit in scrolling. Instead I would use 1080p 60hz or 4K 60hz. Also enable hdr if your tv supports it I promise it will be good
In my opinion game mode on a lot of tvs and monitors is way too sharp and looks horrible
Do I increase input lag or decrease FPS rate if I tune some settings up and down like brightness, sharpness and color even tough I have my monitor on game mode? Or should I leave the game mode settings as they are?
Man you helped me!! I thought my tv was going out or my Xbox! One day it just changed 🤔 appreciate it!
Hi, thnx for video, was helpful👍🏻you got a new sub
If you have a 4k cable and you change your setting to HDMI then you may be able to change your resolution to 2k. I did that on my tv that's about ten years old. I also followed all of your steps in this video and now my 1440p looks even better.
Can you put any HDMI to the Xbox and well I got a monitor
Thanks so much, this was the best video I have ever seen
Very helpful thanks man 👌🏽
Thank you very much for this mate (:
Thanks dude this has made my game look sharp 😎
I don’t know what I changed but something changed and it looks amazing
Same and I love it

Bad advice for the Video fidelity options, 8-bit is for sdr TVs (which you have), 10-bit is hdr TVs.
I wouldn't go higher than 10-bits on an hdr tv unless you are sure your TV supports it otherwise the luminosity may display incorrectly and may not light up areas on screen that are ment to lit.
As for color space it should be left at standard unless you're using a monitor, changing this setting to PC-RGB for the sake of a darker image is just crushing blacks and is counter intuitive as it effects contrast plus you are also unintentionally making playing games harder for yourself as people/things and items that should be just visible will be impossible to see as they'll be washed out in a sea of black, if you're unhappy with how dark or not a game is then change the brightness in game.
Remember that if a dark area looks grey then it is probably ment to look that way.
I’m a bit late but I have a standard 60hz tv which should I use. (24) (30) (36)
Too be honest if a game tells you to adjust brightness and your screen if already professional calibrated with the proper calibration as the movies intended and as normal content is filmed at
@@doug5051 I’m pretty sure 24 bit is for normal displays. 30 for hdr screens and 36 bit for Dolby vision supported displays
Don’t set it higher than your TV supports else the image might look weird.
Changing the picture to “PC RGB” changed my screen so much it looks awesome! Damn
Thank you so much mate regards from turkey
It Worked! Thank you so much!
If you change color space to rgb make sure black level is set to normal not low

Any new people seeing this because they updated the settings go to tv and display options

For the pc RGB you ned to set the tv too if you dont do that you have the consolo working for an monitor and not for a tv

I don’t get “4K TV details “ above Calibrate Tv. I have the original Xbox one if it makes a difference, is that normal ?
My Xbox says it's supporting 4K but when I push the button to see the details it says your TV doesn't support 4K at 120hz.. Games won't display at 120 fps ? Confused
Thanks it looks so nice now
my x-box one after i click on settings it comes up with console info.... updates... language... time... storage... signed out ... backup and transferred thats all there is no resolution button or audio can you help..
Thank you so much ❤️
This helped i boosted my bit from 8 - 32 and i calibrated.. I can see a difference
The highest supported panels to buy for the public is 10-bit & 12- bit panels and how the heck do you have 32 bits?
john espinal idk I have 36 bits
john espinal under Display Overrides, if you select HDMI instead of auto, it will allow you to get up to 36 I believe, but from what i know you must be using an HDMI 2.0 cable
@@maurypack i was talking about panel bits not color depth bits per pixel, he said he went from 8 bits(24 bpp) to 32(???bpp), read the post!

Hi. This improved the blacks but did not fix the issue I'm trying to resolve.
In the centre part of the screen there is frequent de-pixelisation. The screen gets distinct, vertical, narrow lines which blur.
I only bought the machine to mod bethesda games, the xbox seriously some good titles btw. I'm strongly considering returning it. I've had no issues with this or anything else display related during the last 5 years using the same tv for PS4.
If there is anything further you can add to help I would greatly appreciate it. I've spent the last decade badmouthing the horrendous build quality of the 360 (4 dead machines over 18 months, no red ring, no explanation why from Microsoft!).
Please help, I'm sick of troubleshooting this issue.
Hi! great video thanks. I have a 2017 Samsung tv 4k enabled trying to follow your steps to get all the green ticks. I have an Xbox One S connected directly to the tv via a 5m hmdi cable (it supports 4k - the cable is long 5 meters because the tv is wall mounted). As soon as I turn on the HDMI UHD COLOR on for the HDMI 1 port where my xbox is connected in, I get a No Signal message appearing in my TV and it tells me to select the source. This doesn't happen when i turn on hdmi uhd color for my apple tv (connected using the same exact cable) and it works fine. Any suggestion on how to fix this?
I just got a 4kTV and also have the One S and just encountered this same situation today? Did you ever find a solution?
Thx man❤️
So What Are the best numbers for contract and brightness?
Can someone help me out I have a ASUS VG245H native resoultion 1080p if I turn on the ycc 4:2:2 on my Xbox one will I have input lag or should I just keep it unchecked ? Or is it good to have it on ?
Did u find out?
I thought my Tv is gonna explode lol
Thx for the information...
Is 50hz better than my normal hz on a normal Xbox one?
I play on 720 on my tv when I try 1080 p everything looks so smaller and wierd and doesn’t fit tv
Woah thx man
Should I use 24 bits or 32? And is auto detect better to use than hdmi?
Don't do the color space unless your TV or monitor supports it. All blacks will be washed out and you can't see certain things (there's other videos on that). If it says that your TV or monitor doesn't support it, it's because it doesn't support it. If your TV has HDR (High Dynamic Range), then you should be fine with PC RGB full color range.
Question. If my tv has hrd but the xbox one original doesn't than that setting is useless to me correct?
Hey it’s saying I could go to 1440p then when I try to put it it says resolution not supported???
Response time or freesync game mode on or game mode off
Thank you. Helped tremendously.
Every time I hit 50hz my tv turns off then turns back on and it doesn’t check mark
for some reason when i put it to 4k it goes rlly washes out compared to 1440p im so confused why does 1440 look better than 4kuhd😭
My Xbox isn't working after I did this, could this be the reason. Or something else. Plz help.!!!
I can’t change my contrast and the rest what button do I press
Oh the great saviour...
I found out I was colourblind till now ...

Do I have to have it on auto detect or can I have it on hdmi
i miss this xbox home screen
my tv should be very bad at first because it made my colors so blurry yellow red. I did all they said warm 2 or 2 but how to know if your colors are so off you just worsen them. this is NOT a calibration just a brightness settings upgrade. i prefer my vivid mode to this yellow blurry catpiss
My Xbox one screen is blurry on different TVs help

Yeah xbox's can do 1440p
I changed the Color Depth To 30 and now im Stuck on Black screen and Cant use my Xbox pls help me

Hi, i have a question, when i play on my xbox one some games show blurry graphics, for example, monster hunter world, the armor and the character looks nice, but the trees, weapons, and the terrain looks blurry, someone knows why this happen? And how i could resolve it?
Light maybe turn off motion blur in the games settings but i’m not sure
It’s motion blur some games let you turn it off in that games settings other game will not let you though
So what’s better 4K or 1080p?
Regardless of your screen, select the highest resolution. The higher resolution on a lower resolution screen actually makes games look sharper and more detailed.
I play mine on my old 720p TV and by bumping it to 1080 it looks sharper and distant objects have more detail
That's because of Downsampling.
you never did colour? I want to calibrate my colours
You have to do that in your tv settings. All the setting does is it just adjusts the Xbox to those tv settings that you’ll set I think.
Thank you thank you
I have a 55" curved 4k Sam and project Scorpio xbox x. 4k resolution along with pc RGB colour space is awesome. Gta looks and plays superb. Los Santos at night looks far more realistic! None of this greyish hue on the screen. It's also wise to turn sharpness down to minimum. Great vid😎
Imagine with gta 6 on that whole setup 😎
Your iris or summat I heard that accent at the beginning
If you have 4K UHD TV you need to set that up on the TV setting for resolution to unlock FULL UHD on the input channel. (VIZIO TV) Then set up resolution setting on xbox to 2160p and allow 4K and HDR10. Your welcome.
Yo that's crazy I have a new 4k VIZIO 4K UHD TV I got when it came out like 4 months ago & didnt no I could do that & I also got the new all digital 4k xbox so games look so much better now after putting everything on 4K🔥
