x1000 is the only gamemode where you can turn a sniper into an LMG and the shotgun into an assault rifle, you literally put the weapons on opposite sides of the gun spectrum.
by the way, the reason that some stock weapons behave so weirdly like the stock grenade launcher (cause i know you ask sometimes) is when x10 was originally developed years and years ago, in the spirit of adding fun they gave every stock weapon "bonus stats" to multiply; hence why we have stuff like the rapid fire smg/sniper or the absolutely insane grenade launcher!
Back in the day, Shortstop use give a health boost (like the back scatter, I think), which made it perfect with the mad milk and candy cane for countering Pyro. Better range, more health, and milk. Edit: That kunai stab was perfect tho

I think the original x10 mod was made long ago and the x100 and such mods were built on top of that so some weapons still use their old stats that's why the shortstop gives health and the Darwin's Danger Shield gives health from bullet damage and such. So you're better of looking at the old stats for weapons to figure out what they actually do in x1000
the reason why the shortstop gives so much extra health is probably because the server uses the old version of it prior to touch break (2015) the shortstop gave you an additional 15 max health iirc, but then they removed that and replaced it with the shove.
My favorite thing about x1000 and x10000 is that it breaks everyone but specifically it makes Solider a unkillable god, spy unkillable if he has the kunai, medic if he has the vaccinator, and demo man can charge forever, scout can send people to the moon, snipers smg can also send you to the moon, as does pyros airblast. Basically you either get deleted or sent to space. There’s no in between. LOL
Some weapons have been modified from their original design. Like for example, the grenade launcher (to not feel like the iron bomber) now works like the beggar's bazooka, and the scottish handshake now is a market gardener, doing crits while sticky jumping. The panic attack acts like its old self, loading shots until you let go to shoot them all.
A loadout i recommend in any x100/x1000 servers is for soldier specifically, and its alot of fun to use: For primary, use Beggar's Bazooka For secondary, use the gunboats melee, doesnt matter what you use Once you load in with gunboats and beggar's, immediately hold the shoot button to stock up on missiles with beggar's. the gunboats will give you tons and i mean TONS of health, especially on x1000 when you start exploding.

One of my favorite x1000 loadouts is soldier with either Stock or the Original, the Manntreads, and your melee of choice (mine is the equalizer because it does a lot of damage). Then you play it kinda like Trolldier where you rocket jump everywhere, and use the Manntreads to try to stomp on people
This combo is nice for open maps like Orange. Shoot a Scorch Shot from spawn. It'll do like 1 damage to the entire map. Then... Switch to Huolong Heater Heavy.
compared to stock it has a slower reload, so thats multiplied a ton to the point that x1000 shortstop effectively has only 4 ammo since the reload is way too long for you to actually get another full clip
I don't think most Xnumber servers updated the Panic Attack to have its new stats, I know there's a few that still retain its old stats such as for example the need to load it before firing.

I love how, despite doing at least 900 dps, the smg is quite normal thanks to the amount of weapons that give you yes amount of health.

1:54 the damage boost of the splendid screen is +7000%, which when multiplied by the base shield bash damage skyrockets it to 35.7k

The Scottish handshake is actually dumber than you'd think- iirc it crits anytime you're airborne.
If you use the tomislav, you can use an autoclicker to make it OP.

Aiming downwards at about a 30-40 degree angle, you can use the stock airblast to induce lots of fall damage.

You know what would make the shortstop better? Switching the right click to making it shoot all 4 bullets at once.

You CAN reload the shortstop, except for some reason it’s extremely slow in x1000
