Playoff football can lead to two outcomes: The thrill of amazing victory, or the agony of brutal defeat. In what's turning into a regular matchup, the Kansas City Chiefs will be playing the Buffalo Bills, but there's a twist this time around: The Chiefs are on the road. This will be the first time they travel in a game that's not the Super Bowl in the Mahomes era. What is the outcome? Well... you probably know by now. This video is simply rubbing salt in the gangrenous wound.

It's not solely Tyler Bass's fault. The Bills had:
    -more total yards
    -fewer turnovers
-almost an entire quarter more time of possession
    -more plays run
    -more first downs
-better third and fourth down conversion rate
-Mecole Hardman fumbling for a touchback
-Josh Allen fumble didn't get lost
-Josh Allen getting away with an illegal forward pass
    -a home game
and they still couldn't win. The Bills choked under the pressure. Stefon Diggs dropping a deep pass that hit him in the hands. Josh Allen missing an underneath throw that would have likely gotten them a crucial first down and instead going for it all.
Hell, even if Tyler Bass had hit that kick, do you really think the Chiefs couldn't drive it down the field with 1:43 and two timeouts, needing only a field goal from Harrison Butker, who's missed only two field goals all season and has been perfect in the postseason, to win?
Also. Every time this happens I'm reminded that the draft pick that landed Kansas City Mahomes was traded to them by Buffalo.

The underneath throw does it mean anything at all? He had to touchdown he threw the touchdown, but he got hit as he threw it, so it fell short.
Earlier in the game, the bills were in the red zone, even closer than what they were in that position and they couldn’t score. It’s not madden, touchdowns are not guaranteed you take them when you see them. You’re playing to win, not to tie. The he should’ve taken the throw to Diggs is a moronic argument, and solely based on the final result of the play.

I was rooting for the Bills and what makes this loss hurt was the fact that they had no one to blame but themselves. Even with all the injuries on both sides of the ball, this was still a very winnable game. They also got some very lucky breaks with the touchback and recovering their own fumble. They had multiple opportunities to win down the stretch and didn't capitalize.

"Wide Right,” a short story by donkeykongenjoyer
    January 21st, 2024
A cold game of Football was played between the Chiefs of Kansas City and the Bills of Buffalo.
With time running out, the Bills charge down the field, down by 3, with nothing in their path. Nothing will stop them.
They have a chance to tie the game and send it to overtime. They have a chance to conquer their demons. They have a chance to beat the Chiefs.
Tyler Bass walks onto the field, the whole world watching, remembering that fateful night in 1991, flashing back to it as they hope and pray.
Bass runs up and kicks the ball…
And in 5 seconds the Bills world is stunned. And then sad for eternity.
For Tyler Bass missed…… wide right.
