As compensation, here is one of the games of our time: One of the ugliest, sloppiest offensive performances in recent memory. In a dome. God help us all.
The timing of this releasing while the Raiders are currently up 63-7 over the Chargers is a thing of beauty.

In case anyone's wondering, the last 0-0 tie in the NFL took place on November 7, 1943 between the Detroit Lions and the New York Giants. Of course, there wasn't overtime back then, which made it much easier to happen. That being said, there has not been a single 0-0 tie since overtime became a thing. Some other facts:
1. There have been 7 games that have ended in a 0-0 tie in NFL history
2. There have been 5 games in NFL history with a final score of 2-0, with the last one being a 1938 matchup between the Chicago Bears and Green Bay Packers
3. The lowest final score since the merger is 3-0, with it happening six times in the Super Bowl Era
4. Only one game has ever ended in a 4-0 score, being a 1923 matchup between the Chicago Cardinals (now the Arizona Cardinals) and the Racine Legion. The Cardinals were the ones that won 4-0
There’s actually never been a game that ended with a score of 4-0. That game you’re talking about, the Cardinals actually lost that game 10-4.
Earlier that day, the Ravens and Rams battled back and forth in a real thriller. That game was played in heavy rain too. There were 9 lead changes which is 3 times higher than the amount of points scored in this greatest game.
This season has been ruled by utter chaos, and I am totally freaking here for it.

Takeaways: The Raiders decided to do the opposite of whatever the hell this game was on offense, and Brandon Staley is a dead man walking.
He's screwed his chances of even becoming a defensive coordinator again. At some levels it's said to see somebody's career blow up at such a young age. On the other hand, he has plenty of time left for non-football pursuits.
Aaand, would you believe it, the Chargers finally got rid of that cancer of a HC as well as their GM.

The Raiders didn't much appreciate this video so they decided to rip the Chargers into carrion tonight with five turnovers! It's hilarious how they went from losing 0-3 against the Vikings in one of the worst games ever to obliterating the Chargers 63-21 in the span of four nights. Also, holy crap, if ANY game deserved a 0-0 SUPER TIE, this was the game. I was honestly disappointed.

Texans/jets lost greatest game when the jets started scoring. Greatest games are for ones like this where offense is so ineptitude, or if they are truly stunning games like the colts versus the colts and broncos last season. A 30-6 game is nothing.
This game raises serious questions about the quality of NFL play recently. Almost all 3-0 games in the modern Super Bowl era were because of heavy rain or snow. To have a 3-0 game in a climate controlled environment in the modern offense focused age of football is alarming.
Both teams were down to backup quarterbacks. This isn't as surprising as people are making it out to be

I am a Cardinals fan, and knowing what could have been the first two Weeks this season, coupled with the Cowboys upset, I became a HUGE Josh Dobbs fan (despite his passes being too high which drove me insane at times).
I honestly believe my father (RIP March 2023) would have become a fan of his as a fellow Engineer (Dobbs Aerospace, my father Construction/Mechanical), and my father rarely cheered for AZ, despite me being a fan. I honestly believe he would have been a Dobbs fanboy due to the Engineering alone.
But after watching this game... Ugh.... I am a Bears fan as well due to my best friend, but still wanted to see Dobbs do well as a Viking (Blasphemy I know).

This is the example of why I'm no longer an NFL fan. If the Raiders went to another league, I'd probably only watch the SB and a handful of playoff games. And this is the example of why I don't like NFL commentary anymore. You guys are truly spaztic. You can't enjoy a defensive battle. This game is the best game that I've seen in years. It's multifold better than the game that I just watched against the Chargers. Yeah, we won but it was boring as phuq. The Vikings game, I'll watch that as much as I do Gannon's return game back to Arrowhead. Hearing people comment on this game is the prime example of why I prefer the Arena/Indoor leagues to the NFL. I even prefer the LFA and CFL compared to the NFL. I like to see defenses play.
