I used to be a fan. But I had to let it go when I couldn't rely on the alarm clock. I really rely on that for my job. I went from a fan to an absolute hater.
@ardentlytech I got a Galaxy Watch 4 Classic LTE 46mm from amazon for 150 bucks. They have less expensive versions of the 4 series as well with just screensize as the difference. Their sleep tracking is awesome and even better than fitbit's premium stuff. It does everything the fitbit can do and more. Only down side is battery life around 2 days, but for the depth of health tracking, plus smartwatch features it is a fair trade off. Galaxy also has an app store with a ton of apps, as well as apps from the play store that also work on the watch. I tried a few trackers and smartwatches and the Galaxy series 4 and 5 are the best overall. The Amazfit 4 series is also really good, but no ECG monitor currently (which I need).
@@PureChaos just replied to you other comment but this is great info as well! Question for you about this galaxy watch. Do you use the galaxy watch 4 with an android? I have and iPhone and I suppose if I were to use a galaxy watch I can use it as much as I can use a Fitbit with my iPhone. I just wonder if there’s any limitations with that outside of the obvious compatibility stuff. As I mentioned in my other comment I am currently trying an Apple Watch SE (1st gen) and I’m loving it but battery life is drastically different between my Fitbit and Apple Watch
I got one and returned it. Did not like it. You can get Galaxy Watches and others like the Amazfit GTS or GTR that are better and same price or cheaper. I got an open box Samsung Galaxy 4 Classic LTE for 150 dollars on Amazon. Same price, but the Galaxy is heads above from comfort to functionaloty to accuracy. Soamy more apps, etc. Battery life is not as good as Fitbit, but it is not a bad trade off. With my current settings it lasts 2 days before I need to charge, and it only takes 1.75 to 2 hours for full charge. Also, fitbit had issue of not getting my sleep data, no immediate SPO2 data, and the ECG was fidgety and inaccurate. Actually, a lot of the fitbit tests were like that due to its size and having to touch both metal sides just right to get a test. There are better devices for around the same price or cheaper.
Thanks for offering those alternatives! I can certainly see your frustrations with fitbits issues you mentioned. Like I said I got mine for $70 used and it’s been good for my use so far. I can totally see how this won’t be the best product for everyone so I’m glad that galaxy 4 is doing that for you. Hopefully people who need more out of their fitness tracker see this and the alternatives you offer! Also 2 days of battery life is great for higher end watch like that even though it isn’t the “latest and greatest” model. Much better battery life than the Apple Watch SE (1st gen) I’m currently testing out. Thanks again!
@@ardentlytech 70 for the fitbit is not bad. I mostly needed something with more accurate ECG and on-demand SPO2 measurements due to my health conditions. Hope the Apple watch works well for you. Upon returning the defective unit since 2 weeks ago i had yet received any update. Unreliable product plus poor online service support that cannot advise replacement status after numerous asking😮
That’s horrid! Sorry you’re going through that! So many people have had some issue with there’s, I consider myself lucky that mine still works well today. Hope you find a better solution!
Agreed Charge 5 has been my worst fitbit. Charge 2, 3 and my charge 4 (favorite)
are still working. Dec 2023 firm ware update seems to have fixed Ch 5's connectivity issues.
Looks a bit tight on your wrist there bud!
As I understand it's best to keep it more snug for accurate results on the sensors.
Weather miss it was on charge 4 fitnit disappointed.
so true! I forgot about that, such an underrated feature in the charge 4
Should anyone buy it? No! Quality control is horrible. I had to replace it 3 times and now I'm outside of warranty with yet another dead replacement.
WOW! so sorry to hear that! You are maybe the 5th person this week to share a bad experience with the quality over time with this fitbit unfortunately. Hope you find a better fitness tracker! I guess I should consider myself lucky that mine works well especially cause I got mine used over a year ago!
@@ardentlytech that’s the thing. I really like Charge 5 when it works.
It’s junk. Mine died after a year. Pulled my charge 2 out of the dresser charged it and it works fine. The 5 is a waste of money.
So sad to hear so many people having issues with their fitbit charge 5! I must have gotten a good one cause mine still works well without any issues. But I probably dont use it to the same extent that other might. Hope you find a better fitness tracker that doesn't break on you!
Same here. It died after 1 1/2 years.
No upgradation policy by company- otherwise good experience
Glad you enjoy it despite that!
sorry but I could not stop staring at that one white hair in the beard....LOL...awesome review though
Hahaha! Glad you still enjoyed the review despite the distraction!😅
I used to be a fan. But I had to let it go when I couldn't rely on the alarm clock. I really rely on that for my job. I went from a fan to an absolute hater.
Yeah I can understand that! I used to always be woken up by the vibrating alarm but now it’s a hit or miss if I actually wake up to it
Exactly, it feels like pure betrayal when you wake up too late because of this stupid watch 😂
@@moslimislam5714 hahaha so true!
The heart rate monitor is terrible
I've heard some people with the same issue!
this watch is trash not happy with it
Sorry to hear that! Hope you find one that you will be happy with!
Huawei Band 7 absolutely destroys Fitbit
Haven’t tried it. With a claim like that, you’ve peaked my interest tho! I’ll be looking into it
@@ardentlytech it's rubbish for sleep, but heart rate and spO2 spot on, music controls, £49 includes AMOLED display, waterproof, slim and light etc
@@mashfour good to know! I rely heavily on sleep tracking with my Fitbit, but the rest sound great, especially having music controls.
I know the newer Apple watches are supposed to be really amazing, but they are also very expensive and require iPhone and I am android through and through. lol.
@@PureChaos Totally makes sense! I'm loving the apple watch so far, glad I got this for really cheap to give me and idea if I want to get a newer model later this year or next.
