Wow! This should be the gold standard by which all product review/product comparison videos should be done! No fluff, just straight to the information. Very well spoken and all the information to make an informed decision I couldn't possibly want. Subscribed!
The temperature data does an excellent job of giving you an idea whether or not you're about to feel sick. I tend to ignore my body feeling tired or in pain, so this is very helpful. Without it, I literally would of have had no idea that I had covid and would have been spreading it potentially
This is a really good video. I was fortunate enough that the comparison was between two products I'm considering, but they are also the most likely choices that you would consider if either of these is an option for you. This was to the point and well organized. Not only did we have a summary of the differences, but whether or not the reviewer felt that it was noteworthy. This is great because sometimes you don't know what to make of the information that you're being shown. Bravo to this video and reviewer.
Very helpful! Going with versa 4. I was using sense earlier, but never used ecg etc features. Just went to lake over the weekend..boom it stopped working! I dont think waterproof feature works that good with either of devices
Great video! Gave me all the info I needed. Definitely going with the sense 2. Recently got an Apple Watch and cannot justify the poor battery life. I also don’t care for third party apps and found that I was even deleting additional apps from the watch that I could lol. So, I can go without it!
Do you know any watches that have google assistant, google pay and are waterproof with a long lasting battery? I have the original Sense, but was hoping to upgrade@@wearablewhisperer
Excellent review and so through. Thank you! I'm on the fence. I had an Original Versa. Loved it but bricked after an update. Support was dismal with Fitbit. I have a Fitbit Inspire 2 my Insurance gave me free almost 3 years ago. It severely lacks in features, especially without phone. I need a watch I can see outside. Since Google bought Fitbit, it's been better. Just not sure if they are going to continue in future since they have their own watch.
I compared them on the website and was honestly between the sense 2 and charge 5 more so than this but the sense 2 has all the features I want(and some I don't 😂) but none of the other watches had everything I wanted
Have had Charge5 now almost 1 1/2 years...just went "south" on me. "Blackface" issue...I am reading this is pretty common on this model! After an hour on the phone, they gave up tech support help, and sent me a 35% discount to purchase a new Fitbit....not what I was expecting...very disappointed. Like I want to purchase another one after this one had/has a "bug" that they can not fix...not likely to purchase a new one with only 35% discount after short use of 1.5 year...
There is bigger battery more workouts the button and the continuous eda sensor. You lose some 3rd party apps and the stainless steel and is a little lighter
So if you are wearing a Versa 4, you'll not have the feature that detects potential afib? And does that mean that Versa 4 can't tell you your heart rate? Bummer since my Versa 2 does. And knowing this, what's the point of the Versa 4?
Hi-thanks for the informative comparison. I am trying to make a decision between the Versa 4 and Sense 2. Do you think the ECG feature is enough to buy the Sense 2 for me being a senior? Would that be useful? And for the stress app addition for the Sense 2, could you please tell me specifically what did not make it useful format in your opinion. I look forward to your response in further guiding me with this decision. Thank you
I've been very happy with my Sense for sleep data and a notification of possible atrial fib which led to discovery of more heart problems. However, the battery will no longer charge (it's 3 years old.) so want another quickly - am so much happier with my FitBit than my friend is with his Apple at twice the price. From this comparison will go with Sense 2.
Got the Versa 4 and it will likely be my last Firbit as Google appears ready to discontinue the line in the next couple years. I am leaning toward the Amazfit T Rex 2 as it does what I need for the price but who knows what other trackers and new features will be available at decent prices in a couple years. This smart watch tracker sector is constantly growing and developing new features and what we see today could be obsolete in a couple years time.
Just get a garmin. I know it's expensive but you can afford all those other things right. Just think about it. If you used it and did the things you know you should do when you should do them imagine the change.
Why is the button on the left hand side and not the right? is this so when you bend your hand backwards towards your watch the button does not stick into the back of your hand?
If you mean heart rate tracking, then a Versa 3 should be fine if you can find it cheaper than the Versa 4. Otherwise the Versa 4 is a good choice if you want to stay with a Fitbit.
Hi @Wearablewhisperer, thanks for this video. I don’t really know how to use any of the oxygen, stress options however they would be interesting to learn them. Which do you think is better, the Fitbit Versa 4 OR the Fitbit Sense 2? I'm trying to decide which to buy. Is the Sense 2 worth the upgrade? I had the Versa 3 and it's no longer working, so I'm looking for a replacement😪 and so much to review and consider, very frustrating. Thanks!😊
Hello 👋 I personally don’t think the Sense 2 is worth it over the Versa 4. I was interested in the stress tracking but the way it is implemented isn’t useful. It sounds like the Versa 4 would be the better option for you. Hope that helps 😊
@wearablewhisperer thank you so much and it saves a few dollars 💸 as well. Right now Macy's has them on sale however they only have them in limited colors. Another question for you: Did you say that we can make calls with the Versa 4 and are you only limited to Alexa on the Versa 4? Do you have to have a special/additional account in order to access Alexa on the watch? Thanks!😊
@iriswilliams4682 Yes, Versa 4 is limited to Alexa (no Google Assistant) and you have to have an Amazon account to set it up. Also, you cannot make phone calls from the Versa 4, but you can answer if someone calls you.
Thanks @wearablewhisperer ! Does the Sense 2 have both Alexa and Google Assistant? Is there a cost to have an Amazon account? Is Alexa similar to Google Assistant on the watch? I would only give simple commands like set an alarm or ask questions on my previous Versa 3 watch, not detailed or fancy. Also in regards to outbound calls, is it the same way for the Sense 2, is it inbound calls only? I had the Versa 3 and I only recall receiving inbound calls however I don't ever recall attempting to make an outbound calls with the Versa 3.
Sense 2 and Versa 4 both only have Alexa. There is no cost required with an Amazon account. For basic functions, Alexa is similar. Sense 2 and Versa 4 are both limited to accepting calls only (cannot make calls from watch).
The versa 4 alarm vibration is not good. Its very soft and can hardly feel it when the alarm goes off. Is the sense 2 the same way or can you actually feel the alarm on your wrist.
Thank you for making this video. ECG is the most important thing to me and according to their website versa does have ecg... Is this something that they added later? I'd really appreciate it if you'd love me know because of the pretty big price difference. Thank you so much! One more thing, the senses very thick sensors covering a lot more surface area. Is that because of the extra features? Or is it to improve the shared features between both watches.
I used to use a Garmin Fenix 3 for counting indoor swimming laps real-time and really liked it. I haven’t been swimming in over 3 years so haven’t tested anything recently, but I’d lean you towards Garmin if accuracy is your priority. The Garmin Swim 2 seems like a good option if swimming is your main activity. If you do other activities as well, the Fenix series is a good multi sport watch. If you can find a good deal on a Fenix 5 or newer, the older models are still pretty good and in my experience Garmin in general are more durable than other smartwatches (I still use my 5-year old Fenix 5 for hiking and a 7-year old Edge 520 for cycling for example and they both work just as well as the day I unboxed them and they don’t feel like dinosaurs; that’s almost unheard of ages for Fitbit or Apple Watch for example). If the Fenix is too expensive the Venu 2 is one to look into. Hope that helps you get started.
Great video ! Helped a lot. I have a question. Does the Sense 2 or Versa 4 currently have any app that you can install in order to add images ? I want to add some loyalty QR codes that I use daily. Thanks !
The highest I’ve ever gotten was 94 😊 but I’m a person who needs a minimum of 8 hours of sleep on average to function properly. My fiancé only needs 7-7.5 hours on average and he rarely gets sleep scores over 80 as well.
The feature set of these watches are so limited compared to Huawei and Samsung watches. Unfortunately it's the only Google watch that can work with my phone.
Hey there!, I also really enjoy watching this video lol❤😊, I hope you’re doing well. I couldn’t help but notice that you have a Fitbit device. I’m really curious about it! What kind of Fitbit are you using? I’ve been thinking about getting a new one for myself and would love to hear your thoughts on it. Thanks!
I completed several ultramarathons with a Fitbit. The daily calorie burn always stopped at 7119. I also never received a badge for the 130,000 steps in a day. Oh yeah, there were also large blocks of time where data was missing, on these high performance days. I don't know why the device is not capable of handling higher performance levels. I am only 65, and still improving my performance levels. I keep hoping one day I can get a free one from a company trying to promote senior fitness. Guess I have to keep working harder.

I don’t have experience with the gts 4, so can’t comment. Fitbit Premium is optional and I personally think the Fitbit app is still useful without paying for premium.

I totally agree. It was short and concise. I feel so informed on which product would work best for me. Great job!
Thorough and to the point. Agreed!
It was the best I've seen on any product and I watch a ton of reviews!
Truly amazing product comparison video. I wish all comparisons were this detailed- yet concise.

well done, as Matt H said, this is the gold standard for reviews in my opinion. watched the whole thing. great work
I absolutely ditto previous comment of this review being the gold standard, very helpful - SO WELL DONE!
I just got the fitbit versa 4 a couple if days ago and im enjoying it so far.

this is a really great, comprehensive, well researched video. Thank you!

Thanks very detailed, sticking to my versa 3 .. some of the missing features in V4 or S2 are deal breakers for me
Fantastic video. Best comparison report I've seen. Exactly what a consumer wishes to know. Thank you so much!
Great comparison. Comprehensive and well thought out.
Great review, looks like the versa 4 for me
this is the most helpful video of comparing the two. Thank you.

Very precise and useful review. I suggest adding a card with the functionality you're describing on the video
Thank you for the comparison. it really has helped me make a decision about getting one over the other.

love the review u convince me to get the versa 4

Thank you for this excellent video. I wish I had watched it before buying my sense 2.

Very helpful. Thank you
Why is it that these devices don't do well with heart rate monitoring? The active zone minutes depend on your heart rate to be displayed accurately
Thank you so much. Thus really helped me decide
What is the clockface name?
Has the stress level monitoring improved.
I've heard the sense 2 is one of the best in this discipline.
I'm sticking with my Sense 1. The Sense 2 and Versa 4 aren't much of an upgrade.

I have a question. Does the Sense 2 or Versa 4 currently have any app that you can install in order to add images ? I want to add some loyalty QR codes that I use daily.

No apps that I know of. You could maybe use a photo watch face but that probably wouldn’t be ideal.
@@wearablewhisperer Thank you !
You’re welcome 😊
There are some wallet type apps,at least for the Versa 2 that have that capability. iPhone has them too ;)
I wish I'd watched this video before purchasing my Sense 2. At least I got my watch on Prime day and it was on sale.
Yes, gold standard product video
The bands and attachment are still made as cheap as possible. They break at the attachment point and you cant replace the band.
I am jealous of your 91 sleep score! I'm estatic if I can break 80!

My fitbit 2 quit working so I don't know which one to buy sense 2 or versa 4
Sorry. It does not have Gorilla Glass.
Which smart watch has the best heart rate monitor please?
For Android: Google Pixel Watch, Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 or 5, Garmin Venu 2
For iPhone: Apple Watch Series 6, 7, 8, or Ultra
Wow, dropping 3rd party apps is indeed a deal breaker - I have apps I use often and like to develop my own!

It’s probably linked to the fact that Google now sell the pixel Watch with the Fitbit application and features.

I don’t have experience with the gts 4, so can’t comment. Fitbit Premium is optional and I personally think the Fitbit app is still useful without paying for premium.

There are obviously some details that require Premium, but none that are personally a deal-breaker for me.
