Yall prob don't care but its because it despawns the rigid ship and respawns it as a fractured rigidbody mesh that has animation components to it. Most destruction works this way.

The super star destroyer crashing at 1:00 is the Ravager, the Imperial class crashing at 5:30 is the Inflictor. Both ships are seen in The Force Awakens, with Inflictor being the most prominent.
If I remember correctly, the Ravager crashed on Jakku's surface because a Starhawk battlecruiser was able to grab it with its tractor beam and pull it down to the surface. Shows how powerful they really are.

Something I want for the next game is that when star destroyers crash, a huge dust/sand storm is created. This would make for a great gamemode, trying to find enemies through the dust while trying to stay alive. We already know EA Dice can do this. In battlefield 1 there are sandstorms.
You have this kind of in battlefront 2 on the battle between droids and clones in geonosis one of the factory would create a sand dust and covers whole map you only see about 10 meters and see only laser flying really cool feeling
_Inflictor_ is her name. She was an _Imperial II_ class Star Destroyer under the command of Captain Ciena Ree. Just before _Inflictor_ touched down on Jakku, Ree's lover, Rebel pilot Thane Kyrell, evacuated her- quite forcefully, might I add.
I know this is just a graphical bonus-gimmick and a nice one indeed! but wouldn't a capital ship chrashing on a planets surface cause way more mayhem than how depicted here?

Captain Krupp i like to thibk of it as a behemoth crashing like in battlefield but way bigger cuz these ships are huge but they seem to be really far away except the one on sullust that was super close

LOL! Timur Pirkhal: "Them Rebels are Pathetic." Me: Why? IS it because of their tactics?" Timur Pirkhal: "Nope." Me: :/ "Okay... I can support that."
Weren't there? Which sources say that? It was shot down, no? The only vessel known not to have had anybody aboard when crashing was the Inflictor, Ciena Ree's vehicle. There would've presumably been millions of casualties in the battle of Jakku though, anyway, considering the immense scale of the battle. Unlike Sullust which, while one of the largest battles in the galactic civil war at the time, was nowhere near that scale it only had a few capital ships from each side. Jake had literally dozens. So while that would've had millions, even tens or hundreds of millions (at a stretch assuming the worst came to the worst and very few escaped ships that were destroyed), the Siege of Inyusu Tor probably only had a few thousand, maybe tens of thousands. I would estimate about four to six thousand on the rebellion's side, mostly from the MC80s, about two of which would've been destroyed with the vehicles ben very close to ground so it is likely many did not reach escape pods in time, and the corvettes, of which there were several that were damaged. There would have also been dozens of star fighters and hundreds of men. The empire could have lost as many as fifty thousand or so men as there would have been several hundred on ground and from fighters, but at least two imperial-I class star destroyers that have crews of about forty thousand each: Officers (9,235) Infantry (9,700) Enlisted (27,850) Gunners (275) Although they have good procedures for getting to escape pods so i would guess maybe just about eighteen thousand, as the infantry would already be deployed leaving about seventy thousand men left from the two destroyers shot down.
the Imperial capital ships appeared to be a lot more dramatic in their destruction. The rebel ships on the other hand seem to just fall out of the sky without actually exploding. Most of the Imperial ships on the other hand will actually explode.
Holy shit. Honestly this is the only amazing thing (imo) about Battlefront, the visuals are absolutely amazing.. I would pay for a spaceship destruction simulator lol.
In the PSP game Battlefront Elite Squadron, one could go from the surface to space and destroy a Star Destroyer by going inside, and the interior was much more expansive than in BFII. Then, you have a limited amount of time to run back to the hanger and escape before it blows up. The graphics can't touch EA, but the gameplay was pretty cool and nothing has compared for a Star Wars game since
@@gozogo1233 listen fanboy it was a joke im one of you. yes i know this isn't the inflictor buddy I didn't say I said that you're the one saying that. Also that single rebel soldier shot it down if you watch the video closely 👌
The one on Jakku was the Inflictor, an Imperial class Star Destroyer, it was commanded by Captain Ciena Ree, it was slammed into the ground on purpose to keep it our of Rebel hands. But, before it crashed, she escaped in a pod and was later arrested by the Alliance.
If you're referring to the one that's already crashed and is on the edge of the map, then yeah, but the one we watched in the video wasn't the Inflictor.
Seeing the Executor/Ravager crash just makes me feel terrified watching at something so big fall onto the ground and you can feel it from literally miles. Truly terrifying.
yea and I wish I did that but it would make this impossible to record because literally I died like 15 times on the tatooine map before I got that perfect shot so I left the hud on just incase enemies were near me or if I was getting shot at
+Darth Kidd User Interface, it's your HUD (heads up display) so your ammo meter health bar and stuff like that. Anything you wouldn't see in real life.
it is a good game especially with the new updates but if you become bored very fast or can't stand it that you are like the only one on a server without advantages because others bought the season pass then you shouldn't buy it
its not really a ton of people that play it anymore, i would say maybe 2000. people stopped playing it very fast because it didnt meet their expectations. just like no mans sky. i didnt expect it would be an amazing game because the creators werent the same as the ones from the first 2 games.
this game is fuckin beautiful. It captures the Environments and sounds and effects so well. it looks and feels star wars, but was so lacking in content.
By looking at how close the ship was at 5:46, you'd logically see a much greater scatter of sand from your perspective, and the crash would've even caused a minor earthquake around it.
Love this as it gives a whole new depth to the game (especially the Jakku map!) I also love the fact that you could record all of these without getting killed! Props there.
3:34 I know the video is about the capital ships getting sent into the ground, but you just cant miss the X-Wing and Tie Fighter flying in circles trying to get a good shot on one another.
It's very possible that falling down on the surface of the ship like SSD (over 10 km long huge chunk of metal) would cause a catastrophic quakes far beyond 10.0 in Richter scale... not to mention that meltdown of her reactors would probably render entire planet inhabitable for a quite LONG time.
I guess this depends on the velocity it falls down with. Would it fall from outside the planets atmosphere the impact alone would most likely sterilize a planet
The SSD was around 19km in length but in order to do any real damage it would have to be travelling nose down at over 10000km/h Not like the 300km/h it was doing in this video
reactors aren't nuclear powered or any other energy projection that would really sterilize anything. They run more on ions and other odd atom structures(i havent looked at it in a while so im having trouble remembering exactly how star destroyers run, i know it's not nuclear though but still molecular) meshing together to create energy or some other star wars crap. when they meltdown they just kinda blow up and are done. kinda like a tactical nuke i suppose. there is little to no residual damage though. Only groups in Star Wars who used Nuclear devices were the Madelorians and they stopped quickly, and the rebels once. compared to ion weaponry that could decimate life and leave planets still habitable nukes were just unnecessary and so rejected by most advanced civilizations
I gotta admit, I don't like EA games but it looks so gorgeous. There's something special about a MASSIVE spaceship crash in the background while the fight is going on
I miss this game. Way better than 2017. 2017 felt worse than 2015 but had more flashy “content”. If it weren’t for the idea of Bacta bombs and shit and they added all the eras, 2015 could’ve had a live service for a decade and would’ve been an amazing game.
I always got mesmerized by the the battles taking place in the atmosphere, they made the game feel exponentially larger than it really was. I think that for the Executor crash, it should've blown a sandstorm onto the map.
Imagine how demoralizing it would be to watch one of your neigh indestructible capital ships crashing to the ground as a stormtrooper... I think that would just be a complete route.
whats up with the ship glitching/disappearing 0:12 and 3:39 just before it explodes? Maybe switching to a different model?? If you flick back and forth you can definitely see some slight texture differences. Very slight, but noticeable.
I really apppreciate how they tried to properly show a sense of scale, even if that is only background effects... Those crashes, despite obvious lo-fi felt real! Real gargantuan constructions falling from the sky, Michael Bay is absent here.
"We are about to lose a control point to the rebels" LADY WE JUST LOST A SUPER STAR DESTROYER WE GOT MORE ISSUES HERE!!
Wait I mean we just lost the Ravager fuck the control point
Fun fact, it was also their last super star destroyer
+Timoteo Cruz I thought there were some that pirates captured or there captains defected
Maybe it's a distraction from the bigger loss? Psychological warfare lol

Probably some new high-tech bomb developed by the rebels.
More likely they tried to engage a faulty cloaking device... or tried operating one without first reading the operator's manual.
Yall prob don't care but its because it despawns the rigid ship and respawns it as a fractured rigidbody mesh that has animation components to it. Most destruction works this way.

Battleships always blink out of existence before exploding
yea wtf

The engine switches to another model which has been broken into parts and additional internal detail added specifically for the crash sequence.
Remember in Battlefront 2 when you could actually attack the capital ships? Good times
Calm the fuck down the Death Star DLC will let us fight anything in space
+Commander_Dixon I'll believe it when I see it
+Mr. Red 88 have you seen the trailer?
+Commander_Dixon yeah and I stand by my last comment
It should have been there at launch and we shouldn't have to pay $50 more for it.
What would have been cool was if the ship crashed into the map
Some ships are bigger than the map lol
It would be really awesome if a ship would crash over a map and you'd have a change in the map meaning you have to play in the ships wreckage!
ScribeSlendy and hava to scape from them
ScribeSlendy yeah, like the Levelution in BF4 where the ship crashes into one of the objectives in Paracel storm
In Battlefield 1 the airships crash down and have a slight impact on the terrain.
ScribeSlendy more cool if you can pilot it
The super star destroyer crashing at 1:00 is the Ravager, the Imperial class crashing at 5:30 is the Inflictor.

Okay.
If I remember correctly, the Ravager crashed on Jakku's surface because a Starhawk battlecruiser was able to grab it with its tractor beam and pull it down to the surface. Shows how powerful they really are.
@Rafael Enriquez The Inflictor was mentioned in the book Lost Stars, when Cpt. Ciena Ree took command of it, and when Thane Kyrell rescued her from it
Battlefront 3 was supposed to have battles that take place on the ground, and in space at the same time, with a seamless transition.
RIP Battlefront 3
Duhya they did that on the PSP I forget it's full name, but if you google it you may find it.
Dyllopolis star wars battlefront Elite squadron
Yep that's the one.
look up battlefront 3 legacy
Hope so much the SWBF2 * DICE * has such a thing ... we need more deep and space battles!
Come on DICE .. :(
We now have the support of Lord Vader.. KABOOOOM!! Rebel ship blows up... THE FORCE IS STRONG WITH HIM! :O
When is that xD
Vader was singing "run" from awol nation
6:36 Around then, XD
About around 5:20 LoL And that one Rebel takes down a Star Destroyer with one blaster rifle shot xD
Thats exactly what I thought
I would love to be able to play as a gunner on one of those ships, before they blew up of course
Me too, but no time to do it
I've Got to work, Thanks Pal
5:49 The captain on board after realizing the Star Destroyer hadn’t blown into pieces like the other ones: “Another happy landing.”
3:38 - That one seems to have attempted slip-space travel, and failed miserably. Either that or a catastrophic "cloaking device" malfunction.
haha, yea it must be(hoping they'll fix graphical glitch)
or switching models/animations
***** Damn right I am.
Uhh, slip-space travel is a thing from Halo, Star Wars has light speed jumps. (Super light-speed)...
Dano196 - Just, don't.
Damn, the graphics and the sound design are impressive as fuck, shame that the game doesn`t really offer much more than that.
+FightEcke imagine being INSIDE one of those when crashing, or maybe a gamemode inside the star ship and you can watch from the deck when it crashes
Skarmx2
that would be awesome, but i don't think EA would spend the money for making an entire new gamemode with that kind of features.
well were is star citizen coming wich if it pulls out youl have expirience working in capitel ship during major fight with ships getting splite in half and blowd up in peaces
agreed, graphics are good, cutscene are also awesome. It so real,I like the endor enviroment..
but..
they offer limited game mode.
Goddamit EA.
Wow if only there were space battles
if they put that in then im going to go back 2 that game because space combat has been my favorite part of Battlefront 2
Doesn't that make you crazy, for the life of me I cant figure out why they have not added Space Battles to this game yet.
they were my favorite thing where u actually r in space flying around these giant cruisers trying to destroy them. Whereas this game has u flying on a planet trying to destroy shuttles and each other, whoever thought that was a good idea is an idiot

i fckng hate fog in bf1, but sandstorm in gulf of oman bf4 was decent.
6:23 boom. The star destroyer in the beginning of the 2nd force awakens trailer
It’s called the inflictor, there’s a love story involving the destruction of it
Nien Nunb great story
It's the Ravager
_Inflictor_ is her name. She was an _Imperial II_ class Star Destroyer under the command of Captain Ciena Ree. Just before _Inflictor_ touched down on Jakku, Ree's lover, Rebel pilot Thane Kyrell, evacuated her- quite forcefully, might I add.
This proves that this game is cannon

+Lord Demolitions I was thinking the exact same thing

well the ship was already crashing when he fired at it

I know this is just a graphical bonus-gimmick and a nice one indeed! but wouldn't a capital ship chrashing on a planets surface cause way more mayhem than how depicted here?
Captain Krupp I don't think so as it's not really falling with a lot of speed
Captain Krupp some ships are so big they'd destroy the entire map
Harry Jackson they might not appear talking gaat but in reality they go really fast cuz Gravity

The empire could have lost as many as fifty thousand or so men as there would have been several hundred on ground and from fighters, but at least two imperial-I class star destroyers that have crews of about forty thousand each:
Officers (9,235)
Infantry (9,700)
Enlisted (27,850)
Gunners (275)
Although they have good procedures for getting to escape pods so i would guess maybe just about eighteen thousand, as the infantry would already be deployed leaving about seventy thousand men left from the two destroyers shot down.
GeneralZ Jeez dude...... That's alot of typing....
the Imperial capital ships appeared to be a lot more dramatic in their destruction. The rebel ships on the other hand seem to just fall out of the sky without actually exploding. Most of the Imperial ships on the other hand will actually explode.
This game deserves more credit than it's getting, the effects are EPIC!!! :)
Wyatt Stone ikr and it's only $40 for complete game fuck the haters
+Soul Glo when you compare battlefront 2, and the cancelled battlefront 3 to what we got from Disney. you would know why people hate this battlefront
Holy shit. Honestly this is the only amazing thing (imo) about Battlefront, the visuals are absolutely amazing.. I would pay for a spaceship destruction simulator lol.
space engineer
In the PSP game Battlefront Elite Squadron, one could go from the surface to space and destroy a Star Destroyer by going inside, and the interior was much more expansive than in BFII. Then, you have a limited amount of time to run back to the hanger and escape before it blows up. The graphics can't touch EA, but the gameplay was pretty cool and nothing has compared for a Star Wars game since
5:20 I imagine that's probably how the Inflictor got scuttled into the desert ground.
I think that was suppose to be the Inflictor.
2 years late, but the Inflictor was set on a deliberate crash course to the planet
@@gozogo1233 no if you look at the video the rebel shot it down with one shot
@@chunkywillo5392 The Inflictor was in space, this one is in atomsphere, lol, this star destroyer isn't the Inflictor
I remember watching these ships crash in the game which was pretty cool to watch
Seeing the Executor/Ravager crash just makes me feel terrified watching at something so big fall onto the ground and you can feel it from literally miles. Truly terrifying.
The last one is The Inflictor aka the Star Destroyer in Episode VII
Ciaran McGuinness Nice one
Rubber Bander and Proud are you sure? I didn’t see an escape pod
Would look better if all the UI was turned off.
yea and I wish I did that but it would make this impossible to record because literally I died like 15 times on the tatooine map before I got that perfect shot so I left the hud on just incase enemies were near me or if I was getting shot at
Fair enough.
What is UI?
+Darth Kidd User Interface, it's your HUD (heads up display) so your ammo meter health bar and stuff like that. Anything you wouldn't see in real life.
it would look better if you really could fight against them.
If only we were the ones doing the crashing...
6:35 we now have the support of Lord Vader *ship gets shot and explodes*
Darth Vader probably was on the Star Destroyer that fired.
this alone makes me want to buy the game regardless of the shitty reviews.
it is a good game especially with the new updates but if you become bored very fast or can't stand it that you are like the only one on a server without advantages because others bought the season pass then you shouldn't buy it
It's an ok game to play every now and then, but it's lack of content is disturbing.
do people still play this? if so how many?
Just bought it so that makes 1.
its not really a ton of people that play it anymore, i would say maybe 2000. people stopped playing it very fast because it didnt meet their expectations. just like no mans sky. i didnt expect it would be an amazing game because the creators werent the same as the ones from the first 2 games.
this game is fuckin beautiful. It captures the Environments and sounds and effects so well. it looks and feels star wars, but was so lacking in content.
i feel "was so lacking in content" understates just how lacking it was, It was nothing more than a demo, the lost planet demo had more content.
well there goes my taxing credits
I feel bad for the guys on those crashing ships R.I.P. Storm troopers, crew, rebels
Now it'd be awesome if all those ships crashing would kick up dust storms into the map.
The SSD was around 19km in length but in order to do any real damage it would have to be travelling nose down at over 10000km/h
Not like the 300km/h it was doing in this video
reactors aren't nuclear powered or any other energy projection that would really sterilize anything.
IKhanMakeWAR2 that would be hilarious
I always wonder when the big fleets go into hyperspace how they dont end up just ramming into eachother at lightspeed
I gotta admit, I don't like EA games but it looks so gorgeous. There's something special about a MASSIVE spaceship crash in the background while the fight is going on
THis is what I love most about this game the dynamic scenery, visuals and the sounds :D
5:20 when two shots from a blaster could safe the whole battle.
boy that is one powerful carbine.
I don't leave likes on many videos anymore, but I will to you as I know this could've taken forever with specific circumstances.
Nice job sir
If only they dedicated equal attention to making the rest of the game rich in content.
I never noticed how awesome the background is. I didn't know you could see them crash like that. Very cool.
I hope in the sequel we better have that ground to space gameplay where we can interact with them.
Impressive........ Most impressive
Kid: sees me tip over very fastly
Ants: sees me as the star destriyer
Imagine how demoralizing it would be to watch one of your neigh indestructible capital ships crashing to the ground as a stormtrooper...
I think that would just be a complete route.
That awkward moment when watching the skybox is more interesting than gameplay.
Really cool! :D But is it just me who feels uneasy while the fight rages on around the player? x)
Meanwhile, every Stormtrooper near the player "TK-239, WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING?!" 1:14
whats up with the ship glitching/disappearing 0:12 and 3:39 just before it explodes? Maybe switching to a different model?? If you flick back and forth you can definitely see some slight texture differences. Very slight, but noticeable.
Yep. Exactly.
Thank you for this video.
These are those little details, that make Battlefront 1 2015 so much better in terms of atmosphere than Battlefront II 2017.
excuse my ignorance but this play is really and simply with ps4?
yes
Battlefront is 60fps in concoles. Proved and tested, sry PcVirginrace.
But they're not even in 1080p ;)
TheKenji2221 Not much difference in 1080 and 920.
Depends on the size of the screen, but it does make a difference
Man, just imagine how good this game could have been if not for EA
the one that starts at 57 seconds is the revenger
How do you know
its a super star destroyed crashing and its also on jakku
5:20 It's this one.
86Fallowcp thats not a super star destroyer
Actually, that can easily be the bottom of a Star Destroyer.
Watching that rebel cruiser crashing..i couldnt help but swell with pride...get em boys, For the Emperor
This game was ahead of its time.
100%
1:07 that imploder was perfectly synced with the explosion on the star destroyer.
No it wasn't
And you thought they would be safe up there away from the battle
Gunner Bones ROLMFAO
nah the suprising thing is that the rebel medical freighters dont attack
Cool upload!
thanks!
+chocobo305 can you subscribe plz but this vid is cool plz subscribe
+Super gamer Mayhew No.
I just love seeing the amount of ships falling out of the sky on Jakku
That. Is. SO. Very. Badass
Kudos to you for capturing this chocobo
Imagine if they had impact on the gameplay, like sandstorms?
i like how the star destroyer disappeared for a second before blowing up, this just shows the quality of sh(d)ice games
"Shice"? Is that the best you can come up with?
TacoMasters Association you gotta be german or speak german to understand that
7th_dimension the game was made in 6 months so just calm yourself down
6:04 Ohh so thats how it crashed onto jakku.
it look like from movie star wars the force awakens i think this is a easter egg
Plus it's called the inflictor read Star Wars lost stars
Wonder what happen on that ship
not a single damage or explosion i see
That book was awesome. Let me see what it was like for the imperials.
I really apppreciate how they tried to properly show a sense of scale, even if that is only background effects... Those crashes, despite obvious lo-fi felt real! Real gargantuan constructions falling from the sky, Michael Bay is absent here.
Great video! The animation that was put through the make those ships crash is so cool
