Lol all of the trailers for this game were such BS. Making it look way more dynamic and intense than it actually was. I remember the jakku trailer showing all this stuff about spaceships crashing and in the actual map it was just background visuals. This whole game was just eye candy while you walk around a boring field and maybe shoot a couple guys.

This game actually made me a full on Star Wars fan... i skipped school and didnt leave the house just so i could play this game, i went to sleep at 12pm and woke up 3am to play the game untill leaving yo school at 7am... shit was grazy...

I am a big original trilogy guy and this game was nothing but the original trilogy. The heroes were so much fun to play in this game. I wish I could replay this game because I had so many memories with it.

This game was actually really fun back in the day. I remember sweating my ass off for the lvl 50 skins, getting killed by the scattergun, dominating blast, and cargo. Oh, how I miss cargo. This game will always hold a special place in my heart.

This game.. Wow. I remember pre-ordering this when I was 10 or 11. When it came out I raced home to play after the full release, I played for hours. This game will forever hold a special place in my heart. So many fond memories from me playing with my friends all night, all over breaks during the school year. I have over 350 hours on this game, which is incredible. It saddens me to see the servers so dry now, but I'm always overjoyed when I get into a full game.
What really hits me is seeing so many people I played against 1-2-3 years ago, who still play today. People who were extremely good and who kept killing me, that's how I remember them; Their name showing up every life practically. Just knowing that I'm not the only one who still enjoys this game, and that I recognize people from so long ago who made me rage quit numerous times, but even knowing that they made me rage a few times, it still amazing to see them playing this game, and hey, now I can actually put up a fight against them.
BF 2015 will always hold a special place in my heart, and it's still one of the main games I play day-to-day..

Dude same here. So many memories with this game. I was 10 when it was coming out and holy shit dude. I would watch this trailer over and over again waiting for this game to come out. The christmas it came out my parents got me a digital code for pc and I was so excited! But.... The hand me down laptop my grandpa gave me was no where near able to run it. I was heartbroken because of the excitement I had to play it. After that day I swore to save up money so I could buy an xbox one and play it. At the time I had an xbox 360, which they didnt release the game for. A couple months after the release I still never got to play it. One day in spring my friend had a backyard party with snacks and yard games that all my friends went to. But, thats not what I had my eyes on. I stayed in his house for all of the party just playing battlefront on his playstation 4. It was so much fun. Finally after a year or so I saved up enough money to buy my xbox one and let me tell you, it was worth it.
So many memories with that game. This was one of the first ever shooter games I played (besides halo 3) and I fell in love with it. At the time I was a huge star wars fan and the thought of a star wars video game blew my mind.
I remember when I was 10 when Battlefront 2004 came out. I'm glad you found enjoyment in the 2015 one.

I remember there was one match to where someone jumped on the walker and as soon as the match ended, they did the Tusken raider emote as the walker destroyed the cruiser
On Forrest of moon endor map, there’s little ewalk fortresses all in the trees. There was a bridge that went over the path the walker goes and if you get there at the right time while the walker is walking under neath it you can jump on it and ride the rest of the match if you want.

8 years old game, and the graphics still hold up very well, even looks slightly better than Battlefront II 2017. Man, the Frostbite engine is seriously insane. So many memories with this game, I even started played it again on PC although it’s dead. Thankfully the discord server has a small community where people still play. Gosh, these were simpler times…

I remember how hyped everyone was I still have the ps4 box with the battlefront image on it but even in 2023 watching this has made me hyped to play it after a few years
This game was honestly the best game i've ever played. I remember playing as bossk and using his grenades and spamming em, and winning the match every single time. The load times didn't matter because I had so much fun in the game, I was playing almost every single day, the modes were perfect (except the bugs, and how op some heroes were), thinking back, there wasn't that many maps, and everything you had to pay for, but back then, I had the most fun I could've had, I would wish the next battlefront was like this, but more modernized and everything fixed like the loading screen. The season pass had a lot of fun stuff, the heroes and the maps, though a lot of the parts in the game was locking in a paywall. Nothing will ever match the amount of fun i've had on this game, and I would definitely would want to return back to the game, or the new battlefront coming out. The best game i've ever had and played, thank you EA for one of the best experiences i've had when playing games.

This was so much more inonic, better and well made than its -successors, battlefront 2’s hoth. It may have a longer game, better graphics and more senseable way to take down the at-at, but it feels so much less like the real battle of hoth. In the bf 1 (2015) you and your team are ALWAYS moving together, with massive amounts of enemies. In the bf 2 (2017) it may sound and look cooler, but the map is just a sniper war. The enemies come in one or pairs, only to be fed to laser fire.

Not to burst anyones bubble but most players will not be advancing in 4 man line formations or running over completely open ground just to create "action" for you to shoot them down and feel epic.

The thing that makes me happy is that the beta actually plays very similar to this. Minus wrapping up the walker with the rope. That's hard
+Ignotus gameplay was way faster in the demo. Try having a dogfight in a canyon with the demo :P

+Ignotus I think that making it hard might actually balance the game a little bit and give the players a amazing feel when they destroy one. even thou some might say that it actually unbalances the game and makes it easier for the empire, when the official release happens there will be way more powerups and cards to help the rebels. damn, 5 years ago my life was so much different - had a dog, lived with a partner, both worked, came home relaxed and I played this game all the evenings while she did studies - Now I am all alone, lost the apartment we lived in, she has a new life, and watching this brings back so many good memories and makes me so sad that life changed up so drastically for me. But life is life. Thank you EA for making this in 2016, really good times!

7 years ago my older brother showed me this trailer before the games release and I fell in love with this game. Watching this trailer again reminds me of my brother and I playing survival on hoth trying to beat the highest difficulty.

In this video the developers are trying really hard to appease the old fans by showing the essential gameplay mechanics that people were worrying about: we've got 1st and 3rd person, we've got playable heroes, we've got different pilotable vehicles on the land and in the air (even with cockpits!), we've got the old announcement system, etc. Overall, the game looks like an updated, modern version of Battlefront... without 60% of content. Visually, it looks wonderful. Soundwise it's great (I love the random NPC commentary!). Wish it had more to it, though.

Inspector Javert You do realize it said in the trailer "Pre-Alpha Gameplay" right? I am sure we haven't seen all of it. You are right though that this video was set to appease the hardcore fans which is good. The only reason I still own an original generation Xbox is cause of Battlefront 1 and 2. If they had changed it too much to the point it didn't seem like a Battlefront game anymore then I would have been disappointed.
Adam Brinkmann Sure, it's just a 5 minute demonstration video, it would be absurd to say I've seen it all :) I've actually enjoyed this gameplay, it shows that they ARE trying to make it look and feel authentic to the original. Maybe in the future they'll add more content. And anyhow, a new Star Wars Battlefront game is good news either way. We've had nothing for far too long.

In my opinion I feel like this is one of the most underrated Star Wars games. They hit a home run with this game and I enjoy every moment I play it and 8 years later It still puts a smile on my face. Please make another game like this
TBH I thinks it's a decent game. When I play it I actually fell like I am in the actual movies. Playing it with friends is just as good. Of course I'm talking about the skirmish mode. The actual online mode for me is filled with campers and jumpers. Playing split screen with a friend is really good. One time I had Luke Skywalker. My friend had a hero power up as well and chose Lea because of her heath boosters so whenever me or him were in need of help he would just give me health boosts. We have good times playing that game. Now only if I can fly a ship without crashing it into an AT-AT. 😂

Maybe i sometimes ragequited during the gameplay, but mam this game was something else than anything i played. Supremacy in night of Endor, At-At Assault mode, hunting on hero mode, dlc in 2016, private games, shooting with your impulse cannon in mid air and killing with this was amazing , all these maps. Everything was perfect, this game forged my childhood and the worst part is that these moments will not come back and we have to live , without option to come back, but this was a lot fun

Man I wish that multiplayer games were this cinematic but in reality it’s just a chaotic mess of jump packs, rocket launchers, missiles, particle effects, x wings, a wings, tie fighters/interceptors, grenades, gunshots, at-sts, you name it.

Playing Walker Assault was probably the best Star Wars experience I have ever had, just being the helpless rebels in the trenches, on the turrets defending the Generator, and having the snow-speeders fly overhead knowing that is the help you need. Or being the Imperials having to take out the Generator with any support you can get. The ships in the sky, It felt you were in a real movie. God those times were good.

Why is everybody so upset about this game? YES, there's not as many maps as the original games. Who cares?! Do you guys know how hard it is to make a video game? Do you trolls behind a computer screen understand how much coding, design, and work goes into even a simple game like Minecraft? Minecraft took a long time and a lot of work for Mojang to make. Skyrim took Bethesda 5 years, same with GTA V and Rockstar. As an aspiring video game designer (hoping to go to college for it), this game is RIDICULOUS. There's so much detail to this game, and you people complaining don't realize it all.
Dice worked so hard on this game. They went to the Star Wars museum for inspiration, they contacted Disney and George Lucas to make sure things were accurate, they made sure the graphics and battle experience were as fun yet realistic as they could possibly be. Again, as an aspiring game designer, it's all ridiculously well done!
Stop complaining, and be happy with this game. This is pure, raw, unadulterated Star Wars goodness! And we know for a fact DLC maps will be added, so if having 120 battles to play instead of 40 is all that matters to you, buy the frigging DLC!

The same dickheads who will PAY UPFRONT to be alpha/beta testers. while these people are around, gaming is not going to get the games it wants, only the half finished bags of shit with poor hitboxes and crappy netcode unthinking dickheads deserve. i havent spent a penny on EA/DICE products since bf3, and i bought all bf games since bf2142. i wont spend any money on another bf title until dice releases a polished product. as someone else said this game is battlefield, not, battlefront.

+Kniroid Also I think the soldiers are less vocal, and those that are vocal aren't as contextual.
I think though in the full game there will be non-humans, as aliens are in the in-game menu and there is a "Appearance Customization" section that is "not available in Beta."
I can remember never being so hyped about a game as much as this battlefront. And I still haven't been as enthusiastic for any other game since.
Gosh, 8 years later and I still feel the same hype now as I did back in 2015! Battlefront was "Battlefieldized" but I didn't care, it was a new Battlefront in a time where we had no Battlefront. This game was amazing, and still is especially in the sound department. I miss this game.
