And now where ever anyone says something like it I tell inside my head "come on stop lying".

Again, for me as a man to see this gorgeous woman melting into a puddle in front of such an unattractive guy who exhibits all the signs of NPD disorder is mind blowing.
Seeing this kind of love just helps remind me not to compromise myself and couples like these ones sharing their story really does help the waiting. It makes me more excited rather than impatient and sad that one day I’ll experience a love like theirs.
We never see the hills that some couples have climbed though, except for Ben and Sidra, we hear their struggles, but we only see the aftermath of relief and not the torment. I am in a deep, wonderful relationship, people think we're perfect (and in many ways we are), but the problems become life and never the relationship. My husband has sat by my hospital bed maybe 50 times, through many operations etc: part lover, part best friend but also part carer. If it were not for my experience as a therapist, I wonder if we'd have been able to negotiate our way through all the pain and suffering, the vulnerability of being helpless on my part, the responsibility of being the sole provider on his and the sense of inequality it left me with. We've become reborn in the past 3 years, like our first act of 6 years was perfection, but we weathered the storm and our second act has become much more important. It's very easy to bond like this couple, their early struggle when you're still in the highs of powerful physical attraction (which they are obviously still in). 2.5 years and exciting engagement is a very easy phase with the right person. There is a couple on here, who have weathered 25 years together, there was a lot of judgement about them, but their honesty and evolution, ability to forgive one another for being human is what remains after many, many years. 💜
I come back now after I saw earlier this morning the video because I kept thinking about it all day. I felt uncomfortable watching how open and vulnerable they both are. I'm realizing the amount of work I have to do with myself to open up and be this vulnerable so that I find that kind of love. They reignited my faith that I can!
Watching this made me realise how uncomfortable I am about being so open with someone. I would have trouble being this honest to someone I loved so deeply because of fears of being hurt.
This just means that you truly don't love yourself yet in a way that noone's words could hurt your own perception, your core, your knowing of who you are. You can't expect someone else love you if YOU don't love yourself. Also, you can spread love only when you are full of it inside. It truly hurts me to realize that there are so many people around who deprive themselves of this experience of loving openly and being loved.
I second the loving yourself comment. Search within yourself and see for yourself that you are worthy, you are deserving, and you are a whole person on your own, and you don’t need anyone to “complete” you. Once you are in tune with who you are and your values etc, then all it will take is for the right person to come into your life and as scary as it may feel at the time, you will still find you will want to and be able to open up..;)

Man... that guy has been through a lot. There is so much pain in his eyes, it's rather intense. My feeling was confirmed when he expressed that he's not good with expressing his emotions, aka letting her know she's loved and more than enough. You can tell he's very guarded and reserved. He has a tough exterior that I'm sure he shows more often than his vulnerable side. I love that she's bringing out pieces of him he never knew were there. It all went downhill so fast and let me tell you it makes you feel so sick when it ends. Watching this made me remember all her lies to me and the way she manipulated me to get what she wanted for a certain period and then disposed of me once that time was over. I fell in love head over heels and left myself so vulnerable. In the end she left and none of her promised mattered and it was a waste of my time. It all went downhill so fast and let me tell you it makes you feel so sick when it ends. Watching this made me remember all her lies to me and the way she manipulated me to get what she wanted for a certain period and then disposed of me once that time was over. I fell in love head over heels and left myself so vulnerable. In the end she left and none of her promised mattered and it was a waste of my time. Sure, it was nice to feel loved but looking back she just used me. If you do get in a relationship move slowly and don’t neglect your friends and family and hobbies like I did. In the end the other person does what’s right for them and doesn’t really care about their “kings” feelings.
I just fell in love with them. How good it is to see people who really love each other and themselves. Because of their love, this world is already a better place. If you have a fulfilling relationship with just one person, just one, whether it's your best friend or a parent or just anybody you know who might not be related to you but with whom you share a deep bond, it can help you grow and heal as a person.
