As a teenager trying to navigate my way through these high school years, I couldn't be more grateful for Jacob and Julia. It's hard to have a boyfriend and give God that relationship. Especially when you're a human and think you can do it all. 😂 I mean we're all guilty of pushing God to the back burner and wanting to take the lead. My boyfriend and I watch every video. We are soaking in what you guys are pouring out. Thank you for being an example and encouragement, and listening to the plan God has for your lives ❤
Amen 🙏 I’m just going into highschool and I’m wanting a Christian relationship in His timing, and these videos are so helpful to me, and I’m so grateful for Jacob and Julia as well!! I pray that you and your boyfriend can stay pure and have a God honoring relationship!!!
I'm a male going into Sophomore year of hs and want to start finding a girl that I can eventually marry. I plan to have a relationship balance similar to what you talk about. Thanks 🙏
Just sharing you this, as Romans 6:23 says, for the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. God loves you so much that he sent his son Jesus Christ to die on the cross to pay the price of all our sins. After 3 days after he died,he rose up from the dead. He will accept you not matter what you been through or have done. Accept the lord Jesus Christ as you lord and savior and ask forgiveness of all your sins to be saved from sin and have eternal life and not go to hell Jesus is our only hope for salvation and the if you don’t accept him you will not heaven and you will go to hell if you don’t accept Jesus
I’ve made a lot of mistakes in my past and had meaningless hookups. Now being saved I’ve been abstinent for almost 1 year now and it’s hard but I feel much better. I am devoted to God and pray it gets easier as I wait for my husband ❤
You're not a traditional woman. traditional women are virgins, the minute you have one or two bodies you are not a traditional woman.Even a hore can cook n clean. What makes you traditional is have you always held on to those traditional values and applied them in your life.you didn't make those other guys wait and you after you're ran through and used good u want a Christian traditional man.you don't qualify for that kind of man you've already lost the right to deserve that kind of man and have those standards
It IS possible to wait until marriage for sex! And such a beautiful gift to give your spouse! I married at 21 years old and thank God that we were given the grace to wait. It made our wedding night so special! We've been married almost 24 years now and our love has produced 5 amazing human beings! We grow stronger in love and faithfulness all the time. The cord of 3 stands!
@@stepha2642even while getting married at an older age, it's worse to waste it on someone who you know doesn't have a super important significance in your life. if you don't love them then you shouldn't just go and have sex with them so you aren't a virgin anymore. but it's is your choice and you can do whatever you want!
Philippians 4:13. “I can do all things in Christ who strengthens me” When Jesus becomes our ONE thing then everything else is dessert and we can wait til God’s time because he knows what’s actually best for us
Me and my husband waited for marriage and soooo glad we did! We dated for 2 years & got married at 18, he was 19. We were both virgins & saved ourselves. Now we have 12 years of marriage, this year will be 13 years & we are still crazy for eachother! We have 3 beautiful kids. Most ppl don’t believe us these days when we tell them that we were both virgins & saved ourselves. Save your virginity till marriage, it’s very precious in front of Gods eyes and a big blessing ❤ God bless yall
That's so awesome I'm so glad to hear that! That is exactly what I would want for myself as well. You inspire me to continue following this path because I know God will put me with the perfect person one day. God bless you both, so much love and gratitude for you sharing this it means a lot to me 😇
I have a question. How comfortable are most couples actually are with each other? I heard that most couples are actually shy around each other and don't like getting naked around each other, so they avoid getting naked around each other. Most couples will never be naked around each other. I heard that most couples actually are not comfortable around each other, and I heard that most couples don't actually have sex due to how shy they are around each other. Most couples are too embarrassed to be naked around each other and have sex with each other.
Do you actually believe that you have such good marriage only because you two were virgins before marriage? I just don't think that it's a guarantee for a good marriage
I know it will probably seem weird that I follow you but I love that you are Christian and are trying to lead others. I got married when I was 17 and my husband was 19 and we were virgins when we married. I am 63 years old and so many people now do everything backwards and a lot of times it doesn't last. My husband and I were married 32 years the week before he died. He had a massive heart attack at 51 years old and the 26th of this month will be 14 years. We should never take each other for granted because we never know what a day holds. My husband was a baptist preacher and our family sung Southern Gospel Music. Since his death we stopped traveling and singing. I direct the choir at our church and my daughters direct the younger choir. I have joy in knowing that when my time is over that I will meet my husband again. Keep doing what you are doing and leading the lost to Jesus. I have 2 grandkids, girl 8 and boy 6 and I pray that they will always follow God. Love you!
I know that was a long time ago, and money may be harder to deal with now, but how did you guys deal with that and what jobs did ur husband have early on?
I love the genuine honesty that Jacob and Julia share in their videos. They intertwine their own experiences which is why I see Jesus Christ in them all the time
I'm a teen, and I've been praying for a relationship to come, and God told me to be patient but that something would come. He told me that my prayers would be answered. I've asked God to prepare me so that I don't goof this up. I've been reading my bible more than ever, I'm TRYING to wrangle my temper, and I'm closer to God than I have ever been on my near 15 years on this earth, and I think this was why God wanted me to wait. Before now, I would've never prayed over a relationship I didn't even have, I would have never asked God to prepare me for anything. I was prideful and arrogant around God and I thought I had all the knowhow to get through life myself, but I was so wrong, God showed me to depend on him and I've never felt more peace or comfort and I can actually hear him. I watch you two as an example of how a loving relationship should look, and I can't wait for what God has planned for me... but I'll just have to manage
Amen. this is exactly how i feel rn. i had a “serious” middle school relationship, that lasted 2 years. i thought he was my person. but once i turned to Christ i realized he was pushing me away from Him. i pray for the Man of the Lord every night ✝️
I prayed my whole life for a man like my dad. Kind godly etc. I would seek my own men and try to find my own guys and I’ve been treated wrong. One day I gave my life back to the Lord and I met the love of my life. It’s hard. It’s a struggle. But now I have to work with lust hah! So it will take time buts most of all don’t forget God will never forget your prayer
As a young adult. It has been SO hard to respect my personal boundaries and remembering to honor God in my relationship with my boyfriend. This video has helped me have a new POV
My fiancée & I have the boundaries of never being alone together in our homes or anywhere else w/o someone else present, We don’t go into each others home unless someone else is there. We don’t leave room for sin to take place. You know who prowls around like a roaring lion
Yes. I agree. My boyfriend & I broke up because here was too much alone time. Necking and fondling. The emotions were out of control. Hopefully, God willing we reconcile and marry. Pray for us
@@ravenclangamingWOAH bro, calm down. It takes two to tango (not one sided), and if she felt convicted by the Spirit that their relationship was not God honoring than bless her for leaving the relationship 🙏
I found that doing this ruined everything though. It got to the point where I couldn't even hug my boyfriend. Or kiss him. He said before we were dating at least we could hug
I’m 35 years old waiting until marriage. God started my love story almost 11 years ago and I’m praying that this will be our harvest season because I miss him and I can’t wait to start this next chapter with him. It also goes to show that you can wait this long and hold out to your spouse and you’re ready to give yourselves to him or her on your wedding night
I struggled with this. Never trusting myself, always afraid of the sin of fornication, STDs and unwanted pregnancies that i never dated any girls, even if they were interested I pushed them away till my early to mid 20s. I got into pron and alcohol, got high on weed because in my mind at the time it was safer and the drugs were an escape from the depression from the experiences that i lack and the pain of putting yourself out there just to get rejected. I'm now 27 still a virgin, still looking for my future wife and pray for her every night. However the alcohol abuse lead to a DUI last year in December, thank God I didn't crash my truck, injure or kill anyone. Just license suspension for one year and fines, but what a WAKE UP call from our God. He is our good holy father and he disciplines his children because he loves us. He is the God of second and third chances, I'm on a better path now because he walks with all of us through the valleys of darkness, and when we are weak then we are strong because God's power is made perfect in our weakness, throught the scripture God collaborates with some of the weakest to carry our his good will for all glory to God alone. Alway leaning not on our own understanding but surrending fully the Christ to take care of it all. May you all know and experience the love God has for you, beloved you are precious life, fearfully and wonderfully made. No mistake is too big for our God. He works all things out together for good for those that love him. He has a purpose and plan to prosper us, not to harm us but to give us hope! And for all that I am eternally grateful, this chaotic world is not our home, Holy Jesus is preparing a place for us, we have heaven to look forward to. Thank you for making this video, it helped me and I pray that I am able to help and be a blessing to others, one person, one holy moment at a time.
You are such an inspiration!!! I went on a similar journey and I can testify along with you that it's only through the Almighty's love and grace that we are made whole... I pray that you find someone who loves you with an unconditional and passionate love... and loves the Heavenly father just as much. Love from Jamaica🫶🏾 🇯🇲 ❤️
Thank you, your example is important for all of us. I love the party about the God of second and third chances. Thank you Lord for your glorious and unfathomable Mercy. Laudato si' 🙏
Agnostic aethiest here (I'm just curious about different beliefs. That's why I'm watching this Christian video, LOL). Just wanted to say thank you for the advice regarding lust vs love. The difference has always been so confusing and it can cause a lot of unnecessary heart break. This is the best explanation I've heard. Thank you!!! :)
Always nice to see a fellow atheists. This was great to see how other people think and act. Interesting thing is, I agree with most of what they say, and also believe in waiting until marriage.
we have all sinned, and broken God’s law (the Ten Commandments). When a person breaks the law, they are then considered a criminal, and to bring justice, the judge must sentence/judge them according to their wrongdoings. No matter how big or small the crime, a person who breaks the law is a criminal, and are not judged by their good deeds but by what they have done wrong. For example; a m**der cannot say “I donated millions of dollars to an orphanage, you should let me go, look at all the good I’ve done.” Criminals are only judged for their wrongdoing, to let them go because of the “good” that they’ve done would be unjust. So those who have broken God’s law will be judged for their lawlessness, not the good that they’ve done. Since we have all sinned, we must be punished so that justice may take place. But if someone pays the fine for the crime we have committed we can legally walk free. Jesus took the punishment of sin, being innocent, so that all who repent of their sins and put their faith in Him may be saved. He essentially took our punishment so that we could walk free, he paid our debt. But one can accept or deny for someone to pay their fine, in like manner one can accept or deny this gift from God. If you repent of your sin (turn from it) and put your faith in Jesus, you will be saved. @@wetwillyis_1881
Yes. It's very encouraging. I don't see 2 guys though. She's a sister. A woman. It irks me that everyone says "you guys" when addressing men and women.

Thank you for this, I am a teenage girl in my first relationship where I actually feel real love with my partner and it's the first time someone has not tried to take advantage of me.
I was 25 when i married my beloved. We waited and it was the best decision. We even saved our first kiss. We wanted Christ to be at the center of our relationship. We knew once he wasnt, it would fall apart and we knew this was something so real and didnt want to do anything to screw it up. We also wanted to keep things special for marriage, which is why we saved kissing. The other thing we did that made a huge impact in our dating was defining our 'i love yous'. We talked about everything and our marriage has been solid because of it. We were quick to flee temptation, be open and honest and forgive each other.
I was making out with my boyfriend today and I felt like crying cause we had earlier on talked about us limiting ourselves to physical intimacy. We've decided to have a serious talk this evening because we both want to do this the right way, and glorify God in the process. I'm glad I found your video to help us. Please pray for us to stay strong and come out victorious🪷
@elia.g624 I honestly hope someone who has the answer to this finally says it😮💨All I know is that sexual immorality or anything leading to it is a sin.
I’m not a super Christian person, but I feel like I wanna wait for marriage anyways. Idk how true it is cuz I’ve never gone through it, but my mom told me stories of her first time, etc. She told me that the first person you are with like that, you kinda always have a connection with. You gave them that vulnerable and precious thing, which is beautiful if they’re the love of your life. But I honestly just don’t want to have that with anyone but my Husband. ( And really, you don’t need to do it that way to have a happy and health relationship in the future, this is just my personal opinion).
I've been dating my girlfriend for almost two years now, and we're about to graduate from highschool and I want to wait until marriage but I don't know how long that will be, we also are planning on dorming together at the same college, how do I abstain from premarital sex??
I’ve been struggling with laziness since I got out of school. I heard God tell me that I need to learn to enjoy my life so I spent a lot of time with Him alone and just focusing on His Presence, but then He called me to start doing work again and to enjoy the work in front of me and I have been failing to do those works. I saw the title of this video and was immediately motivated to work again because God definitely meant this video to be for me and probably many others as well. Thank you for obeying God’s voice and spreading the knowledge, wisdom, and understanding He gave you with others!!
I’m watching this being single and learning things, I was wondering about this and didn’t search up anything about it. God sent this to me, GOD IS GOODDDDD!!!!
Thank you so much for these videos. Not many people will be a light in this way. You making Christian relationship videos brings so much joy and love to this world. You guys are a beautiful example of God's design for a relationship. As a teenager, this is the content I didn't know I needed.
Despite following a different religion, I am so glad I came across this video. I agree with everything you guys said. This perspective should definitely be more in America.
Jesus loves you! If you come to know Him, He will show you how to conquer your biggest issues. He died to save us, and He’s the only way to God. Religion has never been the answer! It’s Jesus!!
Thanks for all of the relationship advice videos recently! As a teenager who’s getting to that age and wanting a Christian relationship (In Gods timing of course!), these are so helpful to me, so thank y’all so much!!!!🙏✝️
I was literally going through temptation with my partner and was praying God was guide me to something that would clear this up and came across this video!! Praise God🙌🏼 thank you so much for this insightful video
As a 28 year old virgin, i approve, appreciate and agree. When you get my age+, it tends to be harder and harder to find thise with the same moral standards and values. Hence me bein 28 and a virgin.
How do you handle it? I wanted to wait but gave up because I was 22 and it was taking too long. I tried very hard and it kept getting harder. One day it got too hard and went for it. Don't regret it though.
@@stepha2642 Self discipline, the fact that I'm a Christian and fornication (pre marital sex) is a sin and that virginity is one of the most intimate and valuable things that you have to give someone that once gone, can never be returned or replaced. Those are my words, here's some from smarter people. "Self control makes the man. A man without discipline is a boy full of reactions, rather than a man of good actions." -Greek Proverb "The brave man is not only he who overcomes the enemy, but he who is stronger than pleasures. As for how, self discipline, the fact that I'm a Christian and fornication (pre marital sex) is a sin and bein determined to not waste it on the wrong one is how I remain celibate. I don't judge anyone not strong enough to abstain, think myself better because I do nor is any of this an insult to those who didn't or don't. This is just my personal answer to your question. Those are my words, here's some from smarter people. "Self control makes the man. A man without discipline is a boy full of reactions, rather than a man of good actions." -Greek Proverb "The brave man is not only he who overcomes the enemy, but he who is stronger than pleasures. I gave it up when I was 16. Took me till 25 to find god & I’ve been abstinent for about a year now. I can definitely say it does feel harder having gone into this not a virgin. Not to mention realizing how much pain it actually caused me not going the route god calls for us. It even effected me emotionally with my current relationship with my soon to be husband. So all in all from experience in a worldly perspective even, it’s just not worth giving up before marriage. God has it like that for a reason, it protects you from a lot of the pain and issues that arise from being impure. To anyone who is still pure and not married yet, keep it up! It’ll be worth the wait. This year long wait has actually helped heal me a lot and fixed a lot of my brokenness that came from being promiscuous.
This whole relationship with God makes no sense to me. God is something that was created by humans as a way of facing the unknown and what goes beyond what we know. God is a "physical character" that we have created to explain that which has no explanation. The Bible itself was created by many people who wrote it down over the years. It's a book, like all the others, but used as the basis for forming a religion. By this I mean that you don't have to believe in God to be a good person. Making love to the person you love before marriage doesn't make you have " devil's attitudes ". It's just a way of showing the love you feel in a physically intimate way, the connections. Waiting for marriage is fine by you, but for God reasons or because you think you're being the devil if you do it, it doesn't make as much sense to me. You weren't promiscuous, you were you!
@@XavierHipolito Once upon a time i had similar thoughts, but after many supernatural experiences I started questioning things. Until one day I called out after seeing an actual demon in real life. For several years it tormented me, slammed doors in my face, threw things at me. Then 2 years ago it actually showed itself in front of me fully physical. I was terrified and knew it was well out of my control. So i used gods name [in jesus name, satan get behind me.] & prayed asking for protection. I wasn't reading some bible or anything at the time, I just had the instinct and I could actually feel what i can only explain as a supernatural protection put over me. Then as time went on i noticed i was no longer suffering from demonic attacks in my day to day life or my dreams. From there i kept having other experiences but i still had doubt until god made himself really clear to me. Only those who have experienced it will understand. This amalgamation of experiences is what led me to reading the bible. It wasn't like anything I thought it was. It is a book about stories, used to teach us life and show us the rules he put up to protect us, mind body and soul. For a christian we are called to follow these rules, and i have my own experiences of life getting much better doing so, but also many blessings. When i sacrifice things i want in my life thats not actually go for me, by following gods calling he gives back 10 fold whatever i gave up. It is all supernatural. The reality is, to an unbeliever such as yourself there is nothing I can say that will ever change your mind. However you coming on this video and making comments basically questioning this could mean that god has already started working on you. He may eventually show himself and when you learn of him you are given the choice. To follow him as it is said "the only way to heaven through the father is through the lord jesus christ who died on the cross to forgive us of our sins, and only when you confess that jesus is king and believe it with your heart will you be accepted into the kingdom of heaven." Your other choice is to choose not follow him. What christians are called to do is to give this good news so that people may have the choice to be saved, because the other option is terrifying. However to choose to follow god isn't an easy task, the world will not take kindly to us the closer we are to god, and we are called to die to ourself and be reborn in the spirit. To keep a relationship with christ by following his commands as well so that we may not be turned away at the door told that he did not know us. If it was about hoping for something better out there or making life better, then it would be much easier to choose to be secular and a none believer, because you must constintly be making decisions that draws you closer to god which means giving up much, and it can be hard especially because we are the most hated people on planet earth aside from jesus himself. That is what we believe, that is why we follow. It's not about looking to a higher power because life sucks, but a supernatural experience that guides us to him and urges our hearts to follow him. Only in gods timing will you ever truly understand. Know that even through the pain your are feeling, you are loved, and he is excited to show himself to you, to meet you. Even if you do not love him back he will love you, if you do not choose him he will grieve you. But ultimately he will help you through whatever struggles you are facing if you so choose to listen to him.
@@CatKittyCutie so, you're telling me that "Christians are called to spread the good news to people be saved", that makes no sense at all. Saved from what? Other religions can't be saved? The bible is just a normal book that someone guys wrote and then they used it as a base of a religion. The religion and God you're talking about "made" believers kill many innocents of other religions. The church is like a company that just wants to win money

Sex can be perfectly natural and healthy or empty just like food. No food at all is starvation, the body needs healthy, nourishing food on regular intervals, not junk, not too much or too little. Sex is quite the same.
Me being 24 years old, I’ve also never had (or at least have yet to have) a boyfriend. Lustful thinking can really make life a lot harder, especially when deep down you know you can’t just ignore it and hope it goes away (speaking from personal experience). Hence why the Holy Spirit convicts us to go to God in prayer. Ask him to help you change your way of thinking, and always guard your heart bc the things of this world will try to lead you astray if you’re not too careful. 🙏❤️
@@bobhubson8511funnily enough, people can agree that junk food is not healthy but I can bet you there are wildly different ideas about what “healthy and natural” sex looks like.
Same as a teenager in high school I struggle with these things and sometimes its embarrassing. I am a Christian and I always have been, and I really loved this because I feel its important to know the differents between the rights and wrongs in all this, and the world tries to tell us love is different so its nice to know I'm not the only one, and to see how others deal with this!!! Thanks
I'm so grateful to God for this channel. I have lived in the flesh for the longest time as a result i became i single mum. It feels like God sent this video to me. I was having a conversation with my mom about Christian dating (which could lead to marriage) and how even a kiss you share can cause lust or unwated thoughts. So you need to be really careful. And then this video popped up on my page as I was scrolling. Perfect timming! Thank you for sharing your thoughts with us ❤
I have a relationship with an amazing boy but I haven't seen him in three weeks almost four. Balancing a relationship with school, friends, family and free time is hard. This is my first relationship so I don't want to mess up because I feel like he deserves more than me. I'm also still trying to balance my mental health too. God will get me through this, I'm praying to meet him soon after exams.
This is beautiful, I almost teared up, as a usually "confident masculine" guy. Thank you for providing this video for me; it is so important, especially in this Satan-thriving world right now.
Wow! This was definitely a video God wanted me to see. Through past experiences with dating I've been able to see first hand how easy it is to be physical with someone you love and have temptation. It's SO important to find someone who truly respects your boundaries and wants to pursue purity with you not just for you. Thank you guys for those words of wisdom
I enjoyed this video guys! I recently just met potentially the girl of my dreams through Upward and she is such a sweetheart! We have been going on multiple dates now and she’s leaving to go to Italy for a couple weeks and when she comes back I am ready to ask her out. I genuinely love this girl and I wouldn’t do anything to hurt her because the most important person that has brought me closer to her is God and my relationship with him is so important. Thank you for sharing some valuable tips!
So do you think if you love someone and they are not in a relationship or married, it is okay to have sex with them? Because that seems like purpose to me.
@ as someone who professes faith in the Bible, I believe that sex was intended to be acted out within the confines of marriage. I do not believe that sex, even with someone you “love”, is given strictly for pleasure, as in, that’s not its purpose. Sex is how we procreate. That’s how YHWH designed it. That’s the purpose. The fact it feels good, is a perk, intended to cause us to want to be intimate, for the purpose of procreation. So, I do believe that sex outside of marriage, solely for the purpose of pleasure, is a perversion of the original act given. The original mandate was, “Be fruitful and multiply.” Hope that added some clarity to my comment.
We learned about boundaries in youth group. Our unit was kNOw dating! And we had a packet of what we should do in early dating late dating or marriage. Best unit I’ve ever been taught
This video just showed up on my ‘For You’ page. I’m 18 years old and in my first relationship. The first thing I said when I saw this video was, ‘Only if they knew I had a boundary of 2,500 miles with my girlfriend.’ But I ended up clicking on it and literally the first 30 seconds of the temptation part, and the girl in this video pretty much said what my excuse was for almost not clicking on the video 😂😂😂. A lot of this I actually practice already, but it’s really good to hear new things that can help me and her out. I appreciate the video. Thanks!
My husband and I have been married for almost a year now, and we waited for marriage. I was 26 and he was 32. Trust me when I tell you that waiting is SO SO WORTH IT.
Tbh, I feel the most love and happiness with my boyfriend when we aren't being physical. Idk if that's just cuz I am a girl, but the feeling of love that I have for him is so much more intense when like, he does something nice for me, or we are joking around together, or we just spend time together. We haven't done much physically, and it's nothing bad, but my point is physical love pales in comparison to romantic, holy and pure love.
I can see the way you look at each other. You both love each other so much. This is an amazing example of a good couple and a strong bond. I wish the best for you. Fear the lamb✝️
I've been a virgin for nearly all of my life, and I'm 31 now. I've explored intimacy with one of my exes, but it never led to actual sex. I feel like because I know what it is I want in my future marriage, this makes waiting fairly easy. The only time it isn't is when I find myself feeling physically attracted to someone, even if there's no other feelings involved. I recognize that it's natural. I try my best not to act on it, but it can cause my thoughts to spiral or go in circles sometimes depending on the person.
From my experience the best things to do are: Just give God room to work in your heart, let him deal with sin and temptation, ask him for help. To stray from and flee temptations and sins. To focus on other things (like something/someone moving-that isnt a person you are attracted to-, and to do things that you can focus on that distract you from those kinds of thoughts). And just spend time in Gods presence in prayer, focus on God and ask God to deliver you from the temptation, dont play with thoughts or it will definetly become worse thoughts.
You create a soul tie. It’s real and extremely hard to forget. After my ex husband left the kids and I and we he filed for divorce it took years of praying for the lord to break that soul tie to allow my heart to be prepared for the man if God the lord has for me. I waited for my ex husband and I to be married and it truly is worth it. Thank you for being transparent about the certain aspects of dating.
Thank you guys so much for this video! I’ve watched many videos on the topic of relationships(specifically waiting for marriage) and every video always says “just wait” without digging deeper into heart posture and our emotions as humans. I’ve been made to think that my sexual desires are shameful or bad because I’m not married, but those desires need to be guarded as you guys talked about with boundaries.
This has definitely helped me so much as a VERY young individual. I want to find my place in God’s kingdom before anything else, but yes I do find myself talking to Christian guys and it leads me to thinking about who my person is and how I would like to be treated. I think it’s important to know that you’re not alone in this world and that God will provide for you when you follow Him, the Bible says “Seek first my kingdom and all else will be added on to you”, so it’s no question when it comes to who you put first in your relationship, it should always be God. I did want to know if hugging and such were lust or signs of love to one another, I don’t want to fall into a physical temptation so I know what to look for in a true man of God now, thank you! :D. Also, if you’re like me and don’t trust yourself, always trust God, get to know Him more and more until you can recognize when it’s God and when it’s flesh. It certainly helps lead you in the right direction, especially with this topic!!
I'm so thankful for your transparency and honesty in this video. My boyfriend and I have saved ourselves for one another, and intend to wait for marriage to honor God and one another. It's hard obviously, but it's nice hearing from people like y'all on ways to avoid falling into temptation, and to grow in love. There's something so special about falling in love with who someone is rather than their body. You're falling in love with this person, and with God at the same time, as you both seek to emulate Christ.
thank you for this video! as someone who just got into a Christian relationship, we want to honor God and each other, and we will definitely find these tips useful in the future! thanks for talking about this! we want our relationship to bring glory to God, and we are waiting until marriage to have sex, because that's the way God intends for that gift to be. what many people don't realize is that it's not just a random "rule" God wants us to follow, but it really is Him protecting us from unneeded soul ties, and helps us to learn to love each other healthily without confusing love and lust early on in the relationship. some people i look up to have recently started using the term "sexual integrity" instead of "purity," because "purity" has so many negative connotations to it, and that phrase scares many people away. people have been hurt by the Church when they were told they're no longer "pure," but that's not true in God's eyes at all, so I'm glad you guys talked about that! sex should not be looked at as a shameful thing, because it is a beautiful gift from God when done within the context of marriage, as he told us. :)
Peace be unto you. Brother or sister, please read these scriptures: John 16:32 English Standard Version 32 Behold, the hour is coming, indeed it has come, when you will be scattered, each to his own home, and will leave me alone. Yet I am not alone, for the Father is with me. Isaiah 41:10 Complete Jewish Bible 10 Don’t be afraid, for I am with you; don’t be distressed, for I am your God. I give you strength, I give you help, I support you with my victorious right hand. Joshua 1:9 Complete Jewish Bible 9 Haven’t I ordered you, ‘Be strong, be bold’? So don’t be afraid or downhearted, because Adonai your God is with you wherever you go.”
This video was so helpful! You guys are such a beautiful couple, you guys bounce great off of each other. Thank you for giving a godly perspective to boundaries while waiting for marriage.
As A Male Christian oh BOI did I need this! You guys are the example that we need! Even though I'm still single I believe the ONE will come to me and maybe is already in my life. But once I Find out I'll make sure to show her what a Christian boyfriend/husband should act like. I am a Teenager and this is a big topic during Highschool so glad I know not to RUSH. Yknow?
I have been talking to a girl ans we aren't officially dating because I am scared I will mess it up or fall away from God and what he wants this was very helpful for knowing how to make your relationship last thank you guys so much
3:16 when you said that I said to myself I’m dealing with both, yes I want to be with someone because I am lonely and I do desire to have someone but part of me will always think about a future with her, like taking care of her, providing for her, loving her uncontrollably, respecting and honoring her. So I would say it’s mostly love but part of it lust because I don’t like being alone.
Thank u my siblings!!!!
That’s the advice I need. Me and my future Russian wife will respect each other boundaries during our 2 year long term relationship until our marriage in 2026. I m so thankful I waited for God to bring me my future Russian wife until may 5th 2025 the year he promised. Pray for this to come to pass 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙂
I've been always telling myself I wanna wait till marriage, but I met my boyfriend 6 years ago, we're together for nearly 2 and oh....it's harder that I expected. I'm afraid I'm gonna do something stupid, but people like you are making me more sure of decision.
Thank you my boyfriend and I both want to have a Christian relationship and although I don't experience sexual attraction I wanted to understand setting boundaries and I think we definitely held up to what you said, I think that these things are still important to be aware of and things I'll think about more with my partner.
@@pdawg2716I wouldn’t be hasty with that claim. Not everyone experiences sexual attraction because not everyone is the same. Most people do, but not all.
Just a daily reminder that Jesus loves you so much and He died for Us in the worst pain imaginable just so that we didnt have to becasue we sin so much and thats why He paid the price for us. May God bless everyone and i encourage you to follow Jesus if you hadn't already!
This was such a good video! It’s great that you really pointed out how every couple is different cause I feel like it’s so normal to just say what you can and cannot do rather than actually figuring it out yourself. I’m asexueal so I don’t experience sexual attraction, like I do not feel drawn to the idea of sex (I do really want to be a mum tho, and I mean stuff like that still feel physically pleasing) so in my relationship with my boyfriend cuddling and sleeping in the same bed is not a problem but when we’ve done stuff he feels is too much he’s been really good at telling me even though he initiated it. Every night we share a bed the last thing we do is play together, especially for our relationship and for God’s will to happen. Communication is key!!
God doesnt make mistakes. So when he says to be abstinent he is saying for a reason. Not only will it protect you from potential unwanted pregnancy, and STD’s but God is trying to protect your heart as well. I truly believe the biggest reason I can’t get over my ex is because we didn’t practice abstinence. When you sleep with someone you give a part if yourself to that person. They have it forever. Its a spiritual physical bond. And that bond was only supposed to be made between you and one other person. So take it from me, struggling with the consequences - be abstinent
I'm grateful for this video tonight! Best video I've heard on setting boundaries in Christian dating so far. I took lots of notes from pieces that jumped out at me and I want to share them with my boyfriend asap. :)
I didn’t wait till marriage and now I am broken up with my ex and I’m feeling that hurt to the max rn because we thought we were gonna get married anyway so it doesn’t matter. What’s worse is that I am a Christian and I knew better and she’s with someone else now and idk it just sucks. Ik this is a comment a year later but if anyone sees this I just need prayer cause I’m going through it BAAAD.

Thank you, I needed this so much. I’ll be honest I was really struggling with getting really close to the line and I knew deep down that I shouldn’t, I just needed someone around my age that relates to show me that it’s possible/ok to love someone without crossing that line.
I am on the verge of possibly starting my first relationship and I’ve been watching videos and finding advice. Although the two of us would be long distance as you said like all sin this one is a heart issue so I really appreciate what you guys have to say. Thank you!
I am thankful for jacob and julia that they are serving god throughout their relationship even though trying to find the perfect guy in my life is hard i wish that god will bless your relationship for the rest of your love years and may god bless your marriage much love from rorisang from south Africa
Love this and needed to hear it. If I may though (some unsolicited advice). Communication is VERY important. This is true, however something that comes hand in hand with communication is COMPREHENSION. From my experience I am a wonderful communicator, always have been (thanks to my parents for that) BUT if the person you are communicating with doesn't comprehend what you are trying to communicate... you come right back to communicating the same thing over and over and over. You can communicate until you are blue in the face but if there is no comprehension or follow through it means nothing. Just my two cents. Agree with all of this though! Keep it up.
if you’re also trying to live this way in the comments, you’re not the only one. no matter how much it feels like it now. i’m proud of you, and keep going :) my bf and i are right here with you

It's pretty easy to wait when you get married young. Try being a virgin at 35. Who can wait that long?
@@stepha2642 Everyone can. The question is whether you want to honor God and the other person by waiting enough.
@@stepha2642even while getting married at an older age, it's worse to waste it on someone who you know doesn't have a super important significance in your life. if you don't love them then you shouldn't just go and have sex with them so you aren't a virgin anymore. but it's is your choice and you can do whatever you want!

Love you!
Beautiful words, your husband is definitely waiting for you, God bless you

God* is good.

Once upon a time i had similar thoughts, but after many supernatural experiences I started questioning things.
To follow him as it is said "the only way to heaven through the father is through the lord jesus christ who died on the cross to forgive us of our sins, and only when you confess that jesus is king and believe it with your heart will you be accepted into the kingdom of heaven."
Your other choice is to choose not follow him.

I'm so grateful to God for this channel. I have lived in the flesh for the longest time as a result i became i single mum. Now i am so grateful for my spiritual growth and the abundance of Grace that helped me overcome sexual immorality.
Now i am so trusting God for a life partner at 41 and yes i am already aligning myself to His will by waiting until marriage.

How’s it going? As a guy in high school it’s all about time management, and only taking free time when free time is available.
This is beautiful, I almost teared up, as a usually "confident masculine" guy.
Thank you for providing this video for me; it is so important, especially in this Satan-thriving world right now.
It's not unmasculine to tear up hearing Godly testimonies! It shows you have a heart!
Same here. I never tear up even when I feel like I should, but I definitely did during my baptism a bit ago!
That's well said; lust is self serving and love is others honoring. Very well said! Just 2 choices on the shelf-pleasing God or pleasing self.
Huh?
Pleasure outside of purpose equals perversion. Pleasure within purpose equals perfection. This is applicable to every pleasure of the flesh.
Speaking straight facts. I will remember this. 👏🏾

Thanks!

There’s gotta be a point were I mess up so much to where he literally wants nothing to do with me.
And the sex is better when you really love each other.
I’m so glad we waited! It’s totally possible!
I love how y'all broke down the difference between love vs. lust. Self-seeking or honor another person.
To focus on other things (like
something/someone moving-that isnt a person you are attracted to-, and to do things that you can focus on that distract you from those kinds of thoughts). And just spend time in Gods presence in prayer, focus on God and ask God to deliver you from the temptation, dont play with thoughts or it will definetly become worse thoughts.
In my experience, it's best not to be alone too long. No net flex and chilling.
@@danilaroche1156being alone inherently cannot lead to Netflix and chill
What do you mean "nearly all your life"?
Wonderful to see a healthy, young couple spreading around the right thoughts 👍🏾💜☝🏿✝️

Keep it up.
