As someone who doesn't watch as much youtube now, the content I return to are the makeup tutorial videos you make. Maybe a lot of other people have the same experience, but I'm not sure.

I hear you, girl: It's incredibly frustrating when people who are crap get the breaks. Keep doing what you do - eventually quality will prevail and you will get the credit you deserve. And please keep talking about mental health - especially in relation to identity: I work in psychiatric care and I swear that half the people I look after wouldn't come through the door if it was more acceptable to discuss these topics in the first place. Please keep doing what you are doing.

I've been subscribed to your current channel as well as you previous channel. I can understand your frustration. Putting a great deal of effort into something you're passionate about with little gain can be disheartening. But please, persevere and have patience, you will have success. I originally subscribed to your channel because I was searching for individuals I could relate to. I was blessed to discover you and you were partially responsible for inspiring me to get back into makeup and hair. I even moved on to make it a second career after leaving nursing, my first passion, and it's been so rewarding. I am and will always be, a loyal fan.

I am not working so I have money stress but it's less stress than dealing with a toxic work environment (my last work environment before quarantine) and am thinking of getting back into my art (I already write poetry) and making that my income if possible. It can be a little bit of a struggle with worrying about cash flow or feeling guilty on the days when I have no motivation to create but it's not detrimental. I'm angry at my government here in the US, I'm not a Trump supporter and feel this was handled so poorly. That's what gives me daily rage so I limit my news time or even social media some days. I come here to RUclips to distract myself and see how my favorite creators are doing. I am happy you and yours are safe n' sound. 💜

I’ve been watching your videos since 2011, I loved your androgynous over the top makeup looks, they really inspired me and shaped the style of makeup I wear and love now. You taught me how to do cut creases and made me spend money on MAC Saint Germain at 14 years old 😂 After 9 years I’m still watching and I’ve loved seeing these throwback looks.

As someone who's had a ton of mental health issues, I do feel robbed of my youth. But I also believe my golden years are coming now. I turn 36 in a few weeks but I don't look it, I'm going to make these years the best!
When it comes to music, I really find Final Fantasy music is my go to for creativity, happiness, and pretty much everything. I listen to a lot of other stuff, but I always feel like Final Fantasy is home to me (my favourite character, Ramza, being my profile pic lol)
I actually started going on my Subscriptions menu when feeling like watching something because---it might be just me---when I get on youtube I only get new content from the channels I subscribed to one or maximum twice, but that's it, so if I don't open it in a new tab I tend to forget about it and watch something else instead.
So I go on subscriptions and it's much better because 1. I watch my favourite channels and in a way I feel more connected to them (rn when you said we need to talk I was like, oh boy, what did we do? whereas if I would have watched this video at a later time I wouldn't have thought about it) and 2. I'm not swallowed by the yt algorithm and spend countless hours watching videos I don't normally seek or I am not particularly interested in.
That being said, you are great and whatever video you upload, you often brighten my day. You might be one on the few genuine and funny and smart youtubers out there and I hope more people will get to see that because I wholeheartedly agree, people watch questionable content like it's some revolutionary thing when in reality it's nothing more than a load of bull.

The reality is that platforms like RUclips, Instagram and the sort revere a certain type of personality that highly relies on networking. It's sort of all about being at the right place at the right time, or making the right content (?) and it saddens me so. Honestly I feel the same, I feel like people with less passion / quality and vision get so much further than I do and I can't grasp the reason why.
Just vent away Lux I'm all about it.

I love to listen to and watch drumeo music channel on RUclips. They have some great drumming along. I jump and dance and feel amazing. Especially watching Michael Jackson's drummer is a MOOD.
I've been listening to a lot of post hardcore bands which is funny because that's all I listened to as a teenager. They definitely shaped me and I feel the most inspired when I listen to those bands. I also feel like I take less risks nowadays too. I couldn't for the life of me figure that out until now. It makes total sense and now I want to change that at least a little bit lol. I love your makeup though, will definitely have to try it for myself.

You probably know this, but when I get glitter all over me I use masking tape to pull it off! It works beautifully! That's great, too, because I use a lot of glitter in my life projects. 🙄

When I first followed you, like... 12 years ago? I was really exploring my gender and my gender expression and I adored you (And all the people you used to collaborate with) for being the first people I had ever seen who were online talking about gender in that type of way. Most of the others don't make videos anymore, and you still do and i'm glad you still do. But- I don't always click on them because I just personally don't watch a lot of Reaction videos, Challenge videos, a lot of what kind of vids it seems you make now. Even this one I wouldn't have clicked on had the thumbnail not struck me with nostalgia seeing an old photo of you. Make the videos you want to make though (Or the twitch streams!) and the views will come, don't worry about appeasing me or anyone else, just feel good about the stuff you're making! :)
I'm most looking forward to the cinemas reopening, as it's me and my boyfriend's two year anniversary in July and I won us some free movie tickets in an online comp. It might be wishful thinking but our plan was to celebrate the date with a movie and some great food. Either way it's going to be special. :)

I'm a very pale girl too try revolution foundation I use the cc cream Also has factor 30 sunscreen win win I ordered the palest neutral shade they had and the second to lightest too both were too light I was shook I usually never get one light enough and their foundation are so good they have one for every finish every coverage their concelor too 😍and they're doing 3 for 2 at the moment on everything their Foundation could not be easier to shade match literally tell you if pink yellow warm cool neural or neutral pink and so on fairest to fair, light, light medium, medium then tells you if yellow olive warm or cool tones in those shades too and they go very dark too definitely a shade for everyone and at those prices buy two or three and mix them get your exact shade and tone 😉

I think people like chaotic energy and with your academic success and great long term relationship you may have achieved so much that has value in real life but appeals less to RUclips. It has become so much to do with tea and you are much more stable than that and you actually like your friends rather than backstabbing for tea etc. Also the algorithm is responsible for dreadful injustice with some creators losing so much exposure. RUclips have not acted to fix it or it’s fall out nearly enough. So you have reason to be furious about that. You have always had so much talent and such a charismatic personality so you are right to speak up about this odd situation.
I’ll admit that I haven’t watched your videos in a while, but in general I’ve just been watching less RUclips over time. I’ve been a subscriber for many years now, and still send my love & support silently

They've been doing work on Slimelight in the last few years! I used to go back in 2012 but from 2017 onwards they've been doing it up. I went recently pre-lockdown and it's really done up nicely now :)

I love yr channel and yr make up always looks flawless I love it. I'm getting married in 2 weeks tomorrow and I'm not much of a make up wearer so I've been having to learn and practice I seam to have a bit of baggy skin especially my eye lids and above my eyes it can't really be seen until I do eye shadow and I use a primer it's literally the action of blending the shadow that shows it up its like it wrinkles once I start using shadows I've lost alot of weight over 100lbs so I'm not sure weather that's had a impact or not
Hello Luxeria! I'm not sure if I speak for others, but just my opinion. I absolutely love seeing your really amazing creative makeup. I remember years ago seeing your early videos and being absolutely fascinated.. It was nothing like I had seen on RUclips (and tbh still isn't) I'm an OG fan, but yes I love those types of footage! I feel like now RUclips is just too watered down and boring. You bought something raally different to the table. I'd love to see more of that :D

I followed you back in the day because of your "costume-y" makeup looks. I really loved your androgynous style, as well. I'm not quite sure why I stopped watching but I think it had to do with the drama taking place on so many makeup influencer's channels. Not that you were a part of that mess but it did cause me to step away from all of them for a very long time. Honestly, I'm not sure what made me seek you out again but I'm glad I did. I remember when I watched your videos back in 2011, so much time has passed it's crazy, but I decided to search for you again because I got tired of all these obnoxious instapoops that honestly are a waste of time. I will definitely show my wife this video so she sees someone who stands out from the crowd in the makeup industry. Someone who actually makes an interesting video to watch. The only other makeup artist I enjoy videos from is Wayne Goss. I hope you keep doing what you do, don't let social pressure get to you. I think the twitch platform will definitely grow your audience. furthermore, I think your content is amazing, the quality is there, the content is fun, and even for a straight, married man, I watch your videos and laugh at your jokes and enjoy your vents, because they come out sounding genuine and storytelling like.
