When this video came out I watched it, and realised I was trans. I've had a eating disorder my whole life and never realised that I wasn't comfortable in my body because it wasn't right for me. I am thankful for this, because I don't know how long it wouldn't have taken for me to realise if not for you.
I am starting to lose weight and beginning my transition. It took a few years for me to accept it, but I am happier in my life then I have ever been. Thank you for giving me a new start.

A couple of my favourite sweet things I thought I'd like to share!
    - Halo top vegan ice cream
    - plain vegan yoghurt & cocoa powder mixed in. When it's frozen and blended it's like chocolate ice cream!
    - Banana ice cream! just freeze a banana, put it in a blender, and then it goes all whipped and airy like ice cream. One banana makes about 2 scoops
    - I also love the Skinny Syrups! I buy mine from Spar but Ive seen them in lots of stores. A bit of the chocolate skinny syrup on a some fruit or mixed into a plain yoghurt is such a lovely treat
    - Also: chopped apples sprinkled with cinnamon and put in the microwave for a minute or so! they taste so sweet and caramely and they're lovely in the colder months ❤❤❤

I completely feel you Lux, my scenario is very similar to yours, I use to eat pretty well, 95% vegetarian, never ate bread, the only snacks I ate were 100 calorie or less gluten free or dates based snacks which gave me the sweet kick I needed and I exercised regularly, i then fell into a deep depression, mainly caused by issues with my transition and where I was working at the time, started on anti depressants like yourself, pretty much stopped caring what I looked like and the weight piled on, when I started to feel better, I moved to Manchester to start a new life which worked out great but I then got too settled and gained even more weight, upsets me when I see what I used to look like, but after watching your video it's gave me hope that I can start looking after my body again and get my confidence back, thanks Lux,been watching your videos for many years and it's been great seeing you evolve into the goddess you are today 😁 x

Wow, I have never heard from anyone else who was experienced brain zaps before. They are absolutely terrifying, I get them because of my somatic symptom disorder. The only way I can describe it as feeling as though a physical wave of electricity hits my head from the side and ripples over my brain, my head and eyes physically move like an invisible hand has slapped me when it happens, so weird! Much love to you! 💙

Last year I lost my house, partner, job, and was accused of some pretty significant things, all within a 2 week period. I had to move back in with my parents. (I was 20) I fell into a DEEP depression and that didn’t help the “feeling like a kid” feeling. I went 8 months without a job and gained some pretty major debt. I finally found a job, got a phone again. Finally feeling better. It also helped that I lost my partner because they were VERY toxic. Even though I think I might be losing that job already simply because a certain department isn’t doing their job, I still feel like things are going up. Point being, it does get easier, it does improve. Anyways, I know this is an older video but you’re doing great, even today. You should be proud of yourself with how far you’ve come. 🖤🖤🖤

Mirtazepine is a tricyclic antidepressant. Tricyclics and MAOIs are given nowdays only as a last resort, after SSRIs have been tried and failed, because tricyclics and MAOIs have a lot of unpleasant side effects compared to SSRIs. At least that's how it is in the US-- not sure about how it is in the UK.

this was really informative!! i’ve struggled with my body image for a long time. when i count calories i tend to fall back into my eating disorder. there’s times where i lose a ton of weight just from exercising a lot and not eating much. and there’s times where i put on weight by eating more and exercising less. i have a wedding to go to in 2 weeks and i’m really worried i’m going to look fat. i’ve been trying to eat less but i haven’t been exercising as much. i get scared to obsess over weight loss as i end up not wanting to eat at all and then get too underweight. but thank you for this video it was really informative ❤️

I started watching you in 2010 or 2011. I lost my dad to cancer very quickly only like a month or two before you lost your mum. It was a really difficult time in my life as well. I went into the worst anxiety of my life. I ended up actually losing lots of weight. I was so scarily thin, my ribs and hip bones protruded. I'm now much healthier. I feel like we've been in such a parallel journey 💕

    Thanks for this!
I was a large kid...then I started getting serious depression and an eating disorder and went down to 8 stone (I'm 5'11") and was ill.
A few years past this I've managed to gain weight...then too much. I'm only JUST overweight but it's still a struggle. I'm comfortable and really happy with my life at the moment so it all helps

This video is EXACTLY what I needed. You have no idea how much this video has helped me to start dieting. I can relate to your story SO MUCH. I need to lose about 100 pds, and I would be happy with my weight, and be much healthier. With this video, you have made that seem possible for me! I hope to come back to this comment a year from now, and say that I have lost at least 50 pds. I'm using this comment as my official starting point. I have really bad back problems which limit my mobility. the more heavy I am, the worse it is. So, it has become so hard to do anything. There are exercises I can do though, and need to do them instead of making excuses. The fact is, I need to lose weight or I will end up completely bed ridden because of my back issues. I weight about 250 pds right now. I have very large breasts, that are still there even when I am smaller. So usually when I weigh about 140-150 It looks like a perfect weight for me, and one that I am very happy with. I don't want to be too skinny. I have been there before too. A lot of my younger years I spent being very thin. As a teen I was pretty thin, but not overly. When I was 17 tho I lost an insane amount of weight from anxiety and depression. I actually take medication for anxiety and depression, which has a side effect of weight gain. It has also contributed to my weight, but I have been on this medication for like 15 years, and I know I can be a good weight while on it. It just takes a bit more work. I don't over eater usually, but I eat terrible things, and my exercise and movement is currently almost none.
Another big problem for me is drinking too many pops (or sodas. In Ohio we call it pop lol) I am very much addicted to them, and I have tried sparkling waiter as a replacement, and I always go back to it. I have decided that instead of cutting myself off of it completely, I will limit how many cans I can drink a day, and slowly make them less and less. I need to portion out my food, and eat food that are healthy. My problem is I will eat like once a day, but it will be something terrible for you, like a greasy burger, and fries. My biggest problem of all is *PROCRASTINATION* Always say, I will start tomorrow, or next week. That's why I'm writing this comment to hold myself accountable for my actions. I'm starting NOW. I know this comment is way too long. I just needed to tell you how much you have inspired me. It's embarrassing writing this comment. I have wanted to be a RUclipsr for a long time now, but because of my weight, I have said year after year, I'll start after I lose the weight. never put a real plan into action. This is hard to say all of this. I doubt many people will even read it, if anyone. I just wanted to thank you for putting this story out there. You have made a HUGE difference in the way I am thinking now about my body and diet. Thank you so much! There are so many more things I could say, but holy hell I have written way too much lol.

The idea of not putting energy into eating well, because there is too much else you have to focus on, really resonates. I spend so much mental energy on work, my partner, and my family, I just don't feel room for anything else.

Like tonight is a good example. I had a 13 hour workday, didn't eat breakfast, had a sparse lunch, and then I was headed home from my second shift, and needed ABSOLUTELY needed Taco Hell. So I eat nothing all day, most days, and then just sleep and eat at the end. I know it messes me up. But like I desire almost no food most of the day, until I am am suddenly insanely hungry.
The trouble is, when I try to eat earlier, I just feel tired all day. So I keep finding myself surviving on caffeine most of the day, and then eating way too much. Just don't know how to function otherwise.

Luxeria I can really relate. My mum passed away in 2013, who also suffered with MS. I was going through my A levels at the time. So my heart really goes out to you 💔
I think you are inspirational and absolutely stunning! I also love Linda Mcartney's food, her vegetarian (I think possibly vegan) Mozzarella burgers are delicious, that's one of my favs!
I believe in order to be successful in losing weight you have to change your mindset. The mind is a powerful thing. Xx

Unfortunately, I’ve been trying to use diets, exercise, anything I could to lose weight. But no matter what I do, no matter how little I eat, I will gain weight. I have Insulin Resistance, it causes you to gain weight and makes it close to impossible to lose the weight. Everyone says to just do a water diet or to eat one meal a day. Not even that has worked for me.
I’m proud of you Lux for being able to get yourself into a place where you felt happy!

I'm so sorry to hear you've had to go through all of this ❤️ so happy you're in a better place. Also - effexor is absolutely awful! I took it for a month and a half nearly 12 years ago and I'm STILL having side effects from it. I had brain shivers and restless leg syndrome so badly I could barely walk. I would also yawn compulsively. One day I yawned so much I actually fainted!
