I tell you Traxxas support is unmatched! They replaced my maxx slash esc and motor even thought it was 3 months old. Didn't charge me. I don't care what anyone says they are TOP notch... Hell, ill promote them, they have been GREAT every time I've had to work with them.
So the pinion gear loosens up due to the flaw of the plastic motor mount get rid of the stock plastic motor and order traxxas upgraded aluminum motor mount and you will never have a problem again as well you never have a problem with gears going bad also you will need the lower motor mount screws support shims.
Nice! But I don't understand one thing, in a previous video when a front diff cup broke on the Kraton 6, you said that the armature is rubbish, on this xmax you have repaired a lot so far and for the most unfortunate jump you broke the esc or engine and no I once heard you say that about Traxxas ... I like the Xmax, I think it's a car that every rc lover must have ... but you're too subjective
Ive owned both brands, and personally don't like Arrma. Those parts are made cheap and break far too easy. Traxxas also has there issues but nothing like Arrma. I believe they had a lot of issues with that sledge and mentioned it in a lot of videos.
We run 15 Traxxas RC’s, we’ve had now two issues with the ESC, and two issues with their motors. Common issues from bashing you can blame on the RC, which we don’t because it’s part of bashing. However, a few small jumps and breaking the steel drive cups twice isn’t common. Having your transmitter steering knob stop centering, is definitely not common (for Traxxas, but seems to be with Spektrum). We own a Losi, and a few different Arrma 2WD trucks, and absolutely love them. We will call it as we see it when it comes to giving you guys our honest opninion.
@@redbanditracing In fact, you are mostly right, Armma has quality control problems, but how do you upgrade to traxxas for gears with hot racing, so you can also take those cups from m2c and adjust the droop screw well and the problem should no longer exist..but it seems that these days and not only the world is divided..

We go another issue, but it was taken care of. The video comes out next week, and I totally agree.
Same, they have great support
Nice vid my xmaxx is fun but a lot of work keep up the bashing
This the thing that’s keeping me from getting a RC car is knowing how to fix it if it breaks lol!
Haha I think that’s mosts people’s fear. That’s also why we do a lot of repair videos.

The pinion comes loose because of the set screw.
@ I’ve always alcohol wiped the set screw and put red lock tight never comes off
can i fit an xmaxx 8s motor in erevo 2.0 ...i already have the vxl8s esc in it ?
They are pretty close to the same size, as long as it fits over the receiver case. I’d try it
@@redbanditracing Does a different 8s motor accomplish this better?

Arrma has too many issues with their plastic and weak metals
