Flower Travellin' Band's 'Satori' is such an underrated album. It's the missing link between psychedelia and heavy metal. Everyone who likes TCLDelirium should give it a listen!
Drivez Insane I love it and all, but as the album drags on it tends to suffer from it's on sound. It doesn't do enough different within the albums sound that really makes it shines unfortunately.
Ive been a fan of Primus and anything Claypool since "Jerry" dropped decades ago on Headbangers Ball as a Premier video. I believe this collection of musicians is hands down the best collaboration Les has done throughout his career. Particularly vocally and theme. I love this album and this cover in particular. Im hoping Les continues with Lennon on this journey. The over all outcome has been exquisite in comparison to a good deal of his other projects. I love Les but as they say, they cant all be Zingers. Fan forever.
Les & Seans musical chemistry together is like predestined before the dawn of time type chemistry. I'm thankful they have a conscious innerstanding of said destiny & decided to share their harmonious melodious trip with us! 💜🖖🏼
Great vid for the theme of Satori, the highest level of enlightenment in Buddhism. There are continual references to the senses here concluding with the final doorway with the number 108 on it. This is a significant number in Buddhism. It may refer to the 108 feelings or the 108 earthly temptations one must overcome to achieve nirvana. The video ends with the opening of the third eye and the transcendence of the material world through levitation.
But it also has Seans touch in terms of songchoice I think. All the vocals remind me more of Yoko Ono (who influenced Sean a lot I guess). Primus sucks
The visuals describe awakening and being at ease in your own life well. I like how patterns and recognition / empowerment of cognition within patterns is highlighted as the work of awakening.
I dig the chemistry between these guys. They were amazing when I saw them last year. I hope to see a lot more!!! I can't wait for that new Primus also!
At the same exit, we are here now charging through doors, growing on, therein everywhere still, want to keep on moving and a grooving sharing our trip with everything, with everything.
Flower Travellin Band did this and it was great, this cover is awesome, respecting the lines of the original song and CLD give it a sound like a modern King Crimson... Jusr love this song and sound..... the video is amazing and crazy as well....
Can't believe I never heard of Flower Travellin' Band until this CLD stuff. They definitely would've been on my turntable in the 70's if I had. They probably got little radio exposure here, though, and that - or some cool record store employee - was usually how I heard of stuff.
God i hope they keep making music together. Favorite music ever, never expected to hear something that gives me the feels like this unless i made it myself
So I just by chance found out this was a thing. Not only do I want to hear all of FTB now, but the second I heard Sean and Les did a collab band I was like O-O I neeeeeed ittttttt
Sometimes if I feel the need to listen to good music the whole evening (the soulblues;)...in the end I often land to Claypools stuff and the crazy videos☻
Absolutely, the riff at the beginning is totally Slayer-South of Heaven but it alternates with other riffs. ..good f-n tune! I love the intensity even with much more mellow songs. Hence the name South of Reality
Genial! El vídeo tíene una impronta muy parecida a la de los videos de Primus, que a su vez tenían una impronta parecida a los vídeos de Zappa, en fin, esta banda muy posiblemente termine salvando al mundo(?
Why have I not seen this before? One of my favorite bassist covering one of my favorite songs from one of my favorite japanese bands! And this video is easily one of my favorites now! Awesome
Curious as to what part is thought to be like slayer? the guitar riff? for me, possibly the last chord of the entire song is slayerish, and that is it.

I agree, that's one of my favourites albums ever.
Everyone who likes Black Sabbath or Psychodelic Rock should know it
slayer totally ripped this off on south of heaven!
Drivez Insane
I love it and all, but as the album drags on it tends to suffer from it's on sound. It doesn't do enough different within the albums sound that really makes it shines unfortunately.
Satori and made in Japan are masterpieces
so kinda like Prog Rock

Great explanation, thanks.
Name them all
108 is also the number of prayer beads in many religions. 1080 is also the radius of the moon in miles.
Significant in a lot more than just buddhism
Where I can find more information about it? Your comment it's very wise!
this might be my favorite Residents video.
Eye thought eye was the only one who felt this way
Here I come Constantinople!
the eyes have it
Claypol was heavily influenced by The Residents
Residents Residents Residents Residents Here I come Constaniclaypool 🤘
FLOWER TRAVELLIN BAND OH YEAH
Yeah! The best japanese band (with Ningen Isu) ever!
im japanese
i found it today and i surprised
this is a cover from flower travelling band a japanese band from the 70s!! i just recogniezed it!!
Primus, The Residents and Mr Bungle. I never thought that style of music would be revived. Oh and with a touch of Pink Floyd.
Where does Pink Floyd fits here?
Going more to the Claypool's side in my opinion with this song... like a softer and psychedelic version of Primus
But it also has Seans touch in terms of songchoice I think. All the vocals remind me more of Yoko Ono (who influenced Sean a lot I guess).
Primus sucks
Primus sucks!
Primus sucks!
Primus doesn't suck!

Waited this long for a trip 🫨. Awesome video of satori
For those who like this cover, I highly recommend Grails' cover of Satori Part III.
La calidad de las drogas de Claypool siempre ha sido muy buena!
Loved, loved, loved the first album. cannot wait to hear more!
I dig the chemistry between these guys. They were amazing when I saw them last year. I hope to see a lot more!!! I can't wait for that new Primus also!
Awwwww,
Yeah.
The music video for this is a work of art
You don't understand shit it's not about art
@Christopher White my third language.
@Christopher White Miss who?
I need this 1st thing when I wake up. Gives me nostalgia with all the awesome Claymation going on. Wish they kept making cartoons that way.
Strong smell of 80's era King Crimson. Love it!
Smells more like early 70's Flower Traveling Band to me although both are good smells
i hear 60s floyd. and if crimson then earlier too, not 80s
Cover de la banda japonesa Flower Travellin Band. Esta bueno!
This album saved me and pulled me out of a musical funk. I haven't picked up my guitar is years and I was finally able to do so.
The new one is even better imo
Listening to just about anything les does will do that to you.
I got my pair of Indestructible shoes on Tuesday afternoon

Honestly, one of the best collabs of all time

Man I'm really starting to vibe on Lennon/Claypool. Who would've imagined this pairing a decade ago?
I love it!! Great stuff!! Thanks! ✌️🎻🙂😎
Great cover as usual
Clicked this when I saw "Satori", I was not disappointed. Flower Travellin' Band Rocks!
Once again Sean Lennon showing his impeccable taste in music. Excellent choice for a cover and an excellent version made of it. 👍
Who's the original?
@@jemmevermonmar564 Flower Travellin’ Band
That opening is straight sabbath worship and I love it
Definitely diggin it!
This would be great for a menu song in a marvel video game.
Great cover
Flower Travelin' Band's masterpiece!
Saw them at bonnaroo on two tabs of LSD, this is a pretty accurate representation of the night
God i hope they keep making music together. Favorite music ever, never expected to hear something that gives me the feels like this unless i made it myself
Wooooooooooooooooooo I've always loved Flower Travelin Band and this cover is so f*king perfect! Damn it... wow!
Гениально!
I love this jam. The CLD makes such lovely sounds.
M.E.N.T.A.L...!!!
I listened to this song both on here & on vinyl. The vinyl shows so much more intricate musicianship.
So I just by chance found out this was a thing. Not only do I want to hear all of FTB now, but the second I heard Sean and Les did a collab band I was like O-O I neeeeeed ittttttt

Love the Flower Travellin' Band, great cover!
People here be thinking this is an original song... it's not! It's a Flower Travellin' Band cover (1971).
The Claypool Lennon Delirium are the best band since The Beatles.
Fight me 👊🤪
A great cover! Took me a while to realise it.
I'm not crazy..this is a spiderman theme ..right...
@@albabblez2099 I don't think so. The Japanese Spider-Man show maybe? 😂
Why the hell am I watching this at 3 am

Heh, I'm watching this at about 2:30 am

Satori flawless cover
I'm so glad there's more.
Wow that was cool!
Delirium is an understatement

The Claypool Lizard Wizard Delirium
HELL YEAH!!!!
Haha King Claypool and the Wizard Delirium, it would be crazy
I feel like this is psychedelic Tool.
Tool is literally the Genre "Psychedelic Rock" lmao but I feel it
Steve Harvey's White Clone Adam likes to refer to their genre as “Munge” lol
@@tetsusiega2 why is that? haha
I feel like Psychedelic Slayer (The SOH reference is notorious and the vibe as well)
So, Tool then?
Slayer
This is the greatest music video
Cool !!!!!!
Sounds like Primus and Slayer had a baby.

For some odd reason, I could hear Mike Patton heading up the mic duties in this collaberation.
Eye love it! 🔥
Q buen video! Se zarpa este claypool
I hope these two stick together for one more album, at least.
