The truly brilliant thing about this track is that neither Sean nor Les shy away from their obvious influences. Beatles, Yes, Zappa and Floyd are all there and it's a beautiful mash of melody! This is 2019 music proudly wearing the colors of the 60s and 70s. Bless them.

TCLD is the answer to anyone that says "We miss Oysterhead/Frog Brigade" while also standing for something completely different and being a rarity in Les Claypools work; a democracy. Sean CANNOT get enough praise for not only his guitar work, but his soaring tenor vocals which compliment Claypool very well. Solid fucking band.
Lucky Oysterhead is back! Seeing TCLD NYE and then Ohead in April, life & Les are good...
🤣🤣🤣 While I completely agree with the sentiment and basic enthusiastic opinion I *think* you are intending to communicate, I think that "anyone who. Says 'we miss Oysterhead/frog Brigade' , while also standing for something completely different", the emphasis might be on the "one" in "anyone". TCLD, I think, is just a cool addition to the evolving answer to the question: "any cool, different, freaked out, tripped up, high quality music out there these days?" I know lots of people asking that question, none declaring a pining for the days of Oysterhead/Frog Brigade (which had their moment of dope obscurity) with greatest respect for such fans, if youve been glum over that 'cancelled - due-to-low ridership short-lived bus route through bizzarroville, I think a broadening of musical horizons is the prescription. If your longing for those times really really needed an answer (in the form of any band, let alone TCLD), I think there are better questions and better things from the past that demand answers. Like "why did I HAVE to leave the quiet darkness of the broom closet and Kelly-Ann's boobs to see Dean Dunston stumbling around shit-faced with tighty-whities over his eyes, slurily repeating, "I ain't 'fraid o' no ghost" ". I would never ever have regretted missing the latter (besides, the scene or variations on the scene would be repeated weekly for the mext 3 years of my life), but I sure regret missing out on the former, the shame and self loathing intensifying it for choosing drunken buddies in misapplied underpants over just divinely, perfectly applied undergarments holding boobs.
Sorry, I digress. My point is TCLD is not the answer to a question no one is really asking.

My brother passed away on 6-21-22 and he loved this band, before he passed away i went to Claypool/Lennon,ill remember how he was in a great mood all night..
So happy Claypool has gone down a more melodic path, investigating with Lennon.

I am absolutely blown away by Sean's talent...I'm not surprised he has it, I'm just amazed where he's taking it, and the sheer level of it... It seems like he came out of nowhere, because I'm only four years older than him, and I stopped doing music years ago... But regardless, I'm glad he's here now... And, by the way, amateurs and novice's don't get to share a stage with Les... His father is my greatest hero and I still cry for Sean, Julian, and Yoko, but at the same time I KNOW John is SO proud of Sean right now...

@@gendalfgray7889 I believe it is about the poisoning of our food supply (roundup on the crops, mercury in the fishes, etc...), it's effect on society, and the lack of pushback from the general populace.

This video is much more esoteric than it appears to be.
Being ten minutes older than dirt nowadays this tickles a part of my ear long dormant. I like it. Of course it reminds me of his Dad's work. Even most of the trippy and best Beatle's songs were written by pops.
Claypool Lennon Delirium are one brilliant band. I love what tracks of theirs I've heard so far.

by the end of the video he fights the establishment and becomes enlightened himself. There is nod to mk ultra mind control aka monarch mind control and also alice and wonderland which was designed as a tool for mind control along with star wars for boys alice for girls.
This band got some serious lyrics. If you like the sci-fi stuff and a little bit of the esoteric stuff, you should check Mike Hockney's books on mathematics and science ! Reading this while listening to the Delirium is a treat.

Awesome visuals, song and band. TCLD on Aug. 7th then Primus on Nov. 3rd in Raleigh, NC. So Stoked!! Been a fan of Claypool since 'Frizzle Fry' first dropped and have yet to see him live. Now I get to see him twice in the same year. Opening up for The Flaming Lips and Slayer!! WOW!!

This is a way more accurate description. I hear Beatles and a touch of something new, but some of the bands people are comparing this to sound nothing like this. You can tell there’s something fresh when folks are grabbing at straw trying to pin it down.
