I saw them in LA about 2018. They opened for the great Jim James. The whole situation was mind blowing.
Claypool has a band called "Oysterhead" too. It's a little further "out there", but offers up some interesting moments.

I've been listening to this album every other day since it came out. And I just can't get enough of it.
I'm so glad Sean accepted the challenge to work with Les, because that gave him (imho) the necessary boost to now outperform his father in every musical aspect. Can't get enough of this song...

You can't really compare Sean's work with John's. Writing quality catchy pop songs is not necessarily easier than fancy art music.
@@beback_ Beatles did some great fancy art music as well. In fact, they were the pioneers of bringing that kind of thing into the mainstream as early as 1966. Hard to conceive of the quantum leap between “she loves you” and “tomorrow never knows” in just 3 years.

This is one of those songs that when you first hear, you're a little put off.. dark lyrics... spooky. But after the 2nd or 3rd playing, you realize how EPIC this is!!!!!

This is one of the tastiest new recordings I have heard in a while... I'm FLOORED. Given that I don't hear new music that blows me away nearly as often as I used to (and believe me, I recognize that there's ALWAYS some good music lurking about somewhere, although it sometimes requires a lot more effort to find as radio stations have unfortunately become more narrowly, rigidly "formatted" with their playlists, and less adventurous) I am glad to come across this.
Same thought I have. The only new band's music I really enjoy these days. So fresh and exciting, nothing else compares to these guys. Well, there's always Steven Wilson with great LPs but he's not formed a new band.

Once again, Another Epic Claypool Collaboration of magnanimous portions! Emotional at times... an Awe-Inspiring Hardcore Funky Space rock Album. Primus, king Crimson, Steve Miller, Steely Dan And Pink Floyd all impreginated this Honey!
Fingers crossed that wolfmother can deliver a good album soon. Their debut is one of my favorite rock albums of the 21st century, probably alongside this one.
Man , I've met this band last weekend and it is already one of my favorites , for real those musics are full of soul and the psychedelic elements feel as they were brought right back from the 60's/early 70's
I've always wondered when Sean Lennon was going to bless the world with his grace.
I liked Julian's work but i always felt like there was so much missing!
I knew it was Sean and he purposely held out and for that i am grateful to be experiencing the greatness as it is unleashed.
