    Allen I wanted to mention something here. Now I know why you’ve always mentioned to mow regular! Found another tip mowing my lawn I wanted to bring up here. I’ve worked out of town for quite sometime and had some professionals mowing my lawn twice a week. I have a cool season lawn here in Kentucky. To make this short I finally got back to mowing my own lawn back home so I cancelled my professional grass cutting service. I’m now back to mowing my own lawn and enjoying he mow however I have a Turf type tall fescue lawn but while mowing I’m always using investigative research. Looking at my lawn at the same time enjoying the mow! I found I have a few small patches of wild Bermudagrass in my lawn and have been treating it with ORNAMEC with Aqua Zorb. Keeps my fescue looking good while I have some on stand by to spot treat the Bermudagrass as I see it. Always checking while mowing just a tip thanks for the fantastic videos

Any thoughts. Thanks for any input you have.

    I looked at the active ingredient in Cutter for mosquito control and found it was Lambda-Cyhalothrin. You've brought up Bifen I/T in other videos for mosquito and ant control. If you're focus is nuisance pests which is a better option or should we rotate?

  • @axg038200
    @axg038200 3 года назад +1

    Allyn, if I use the BioAdvanced preventative bag next year and apply it in March/April, I'll get 2-3 months of protection for common damage/nuisance bugs; however will this not be as effective if I apply it again 2-3 months later (sometime in the summer) for additional protection? You mentioned to apply this product early in the season, just curious if this still works if I apply a 2nd app later in the season (summer/fall).

    What are your thoughts on nematodes? I used them for the first time this spring to help fight grubs. Positive results so far!

    • @garage-guy207
      @garage-guy207 3 года назад +1

      For what it’s worth, that’s all I’ve used for the past 5 or 6 years, both in spring and fall, and have had nothing but positive results. The hardest part of using nematodes is that you do not see any ‘tangible’ product going onto your lawns and all you can hear in the back of your mind is the hysterically-laughing store clerk saying, “Well, there goes another sucker who dropped +/- $30 on ‘invisible’ product🤣

    What about the liquid options? Just attaching to hose end.
    Or granular is the way to go on these?

    I don’t even bother with the insecticides from the big box stores, the commercial ones are way easier to understand what insect they target and are far more concentrated and work much better.

    I'm going to apply the Bioadvanced Complete Insect Killer ready-to-spray. It works on surface and below soil bugs. I realize that after application, there should be no rain within 24 hours (as the product label states). I'm wondering if the product needs to be watered in at any point in order to get down into the soil. Anyone have experience using this product?

    So I put down a mixture of different insecticides around the house and turf. Cypermethrin, imidacloprid, bifen. Do you worry about earthworms like I do? Or is it just me? We spray all of these things down, but from what I've read, the natural tillers of our precious turf soil are greatly affected by them. I'm just a dumbass, but I like to take these kinds of things into consideration, what are your thoughts?

    The labels for a lot of these insect control products are also deceiving though because there’s different app rates based on the types of insects you’re trying to control. So the bag will say, covers 10,000 sq ft, but for what you want to try and treat, you have to look over the label thoroughly. I’ve learned the skill of label reading from you though Sir, so thank you for that. Can we get some rain please! 🙏🏼
